What a Hoot Bedlington is a private day nursery with huge amounts of space. It has three bespoke rooms that have all been designed to specifically suit the age stages of the children that attend.

The nursery has a baby room which allows the babies to gain great exposure to sensory media in the form of lights, bubbles and sounds. The room also has a nice half and half feel...

My daughter always looks forward to nursery and has developed socially far better than we feared with her being a lockdown baby. Her confidence grows daily and What A Hoot contributes to this.

My daughter absolutely loves What A Hoot Day Nursery, she tells us every day what she does and how much fun she has. She has come on leaps and bounds since attending What A Hoot. I will definitely be sending any future children we may have here. All the teachers are great and love the detailed handovers we get at the end of the day.

I'm overall really happy with What a Hoot Bedlington nursery. Their use of the app is great for communication when needed, finding out about activities going on and also eating habits. The feedback is also good at drop-off and pickup times and the times are flexible to help around work. As a child of lockdown, I've been constantly worried about my son's social development, but it gives me comfort to see that he's happy to go every day and seems to be coming out of his shell bit by bit with the help of the staff there.
If there was any criticism, it would be the way billing is done through the app. It does seem very inflexible, but I gather from what I'm told that is more about how the app works.

The staff there have always been courteous and good communicators, and any issues that have arisen have been dealt with well. Again, overall really happy with What a Hoot Bedlington.

Both of my boys have attended this nursery since they were about 10 months. My eldest is starting school in September and will be staying here as they offer really helpful out of school care with pick up and drop offs to the local first/primary schools! I have nothing but praise for this little nursery! The staff really do care about my boys and have been instrumental in bringing them along with learning, development and general social skills. The flexibility of attendance arrangements is unique to the area and great for shift work, term time and just generally heading off on family holidays. It basically can save you a fortune compared with other inflexible establishments! My boys are very happy here and never want to leave at the end of the day!

I am the Manager at What a Hoot Bedlington and have recently joined the team in July 2024.

Childcare is a huge passion of mine and I have gained over 18 years experience, working with children from the ages of 3 months to 5 years old.

I love watching each individual child gain their very own personality, independence and skills set. Being the first step in a child's educational journey is hugely rewarding, which is why I am passionate about providing the best learning opportunities for our What a Hoot children.

Hi, my name is Leanne and I am the senior nursery practitioner at What a Hoot in Bedlington. I am room based and spend most of my time in the 2 year old's room, but enjoy spending time with the babies and in preschool too!

I started my career as a level 3 teaching assistant at a primary school in Blyth, almost 13 years ago.

Since moving to What a Hoot, I instantly knew this was the job for me. The children and staff welcomed me with open arms! The children put a huge smile on my face each day and surprise me with many moments where I feel massive amounts of pride as they do something new for the first time.
