The Montessori People Thornaby

My daughter has been going to this nursery for a few years now and she absolutely loves the setting and the ladies who look after her there. The team have been more than accommodating of our childcare needs and will go out of their way to give us peace of mind. The learnings and communication from the nursery are exemplary and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Couldn't recommend this nursery enough! My two boys attend this nursery, one just graduating pre-school and one currently attending, and they both absolutely love going and love all the staff. The staff are attentive and really put parents at ease, I have never had any second thoughts about leaving my children from day one. Parents are kept up to date at all times and handovers and collections are always friendly and supportive, they take a real interest in each child. Both my boys have come on leaps and bounds in their confidence and development, they get to experience so many amazing things whilst attending, which really adds to their experience.

I love the nursery, my son settled right in straight away and the rest is history, thank you so much for everything.

Wonderful nursery with the loveliest staff. Both my children have attended since 11 months old and have both absolutely flourished in all areas of development. The staff are amazing with the children and there are really good parent-teacher relationships, making it easier to leave your child for the day. Both of my children look forward to coming to nursery, they attend 3 days a week and have so much fun. They're also very well-fed, with my eldest loving all the new food he gets to try.

Amazing nursery, recommend it far and wide. Staff are very professional, however friendly and approachable. They demonstrate and display understanding of children's development in detail and share they share information regarding your child's milestones as well as any improvements your child could make. Always give a full handover of what your child has done and ate that day which is very helpful. Very happy with the nursery all around from managing allergies to go above and beyond for supporting the children and helping the children reach their full potential. Find it very helpful how flexible the nursery is in regards to needing to change days around to suit shifts. Used this nursery for around 4 years and wouldn't go anywhere else as has been outstanding in my opinion and recommend it to friends who also now use the nursery.

Couldn't recommend this nursery enough. All the staff are lovely and friendly and can't help enough. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting and comes home singing new songs and telling me what she's learnt.

Both my sons have attended The Montessori Nursery and both absolutely thrived. I currently have one son there and he goes into nursery every day with a smile. The nursery team are warm and welcoming. They are always eager to listen to your concerns, give you advice and guide your children to their specific needs. Educationally they are a cut above the rest and my oldest son certainly started school with an excellent base to leap from. From the baby room all the way through to preschool, all the rooms, their leaders and staff are well-trained, very caring and absolutely welcoming. Both my sons have certainly gained confidence through The Montessori and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family for childcare needs.

Outstanding nursery. Nurturing, kind and really caring about the children in their care and the support they give to parents. Both of my children went here, I recommend it to everyone. It's truly a wonderful environment for children to thrive. I'll always be grateful to them for all that they did for my family over the years. Taught them both to write their names and be kind to others.

My son has recently transitioned from the baby room to the toddler room and again they worked hard to ensure this was a smooth transition for him with lots of preparation work and pre-visits.

The biggest strength of the nursery is the staff! Staff are helpful, supportive and always welcoming. They go above and beyond to make parents and children feel happy and staff are always willing to listen to the routines we would like our children to follow. It's clear that the staff genuinely care about the children, their welfare and their development. It is reassuring as a parent that we are leaving our children in the care of such wonderful and thoughtful people. The nursery itself as a venue is always well maintained and the rooms and outdoor spaces provide fantastic opportunities and activities for the children to thrive. The handovers and parents' evenings showcase their knowledge and the level of detail and information they have gathered about our children of fantastic. Our children are happy and love attending this nursery. From animal experiences and library visitors to phonics sessions and school preparation, this nursery provides everything you could wish for as a parent.

Her key worker is great at keeping us up to date with her day and things they are working towards. All the staff I have encountered have been really lovely and always make an effort to talk to my daughter, even when they are just passing by on drop-offs. I am really happy with the progress my daughter has made since starting.

They are also allergy-aware and have been great with my son's dietary requirements.

As she's moved to the older rooms, she has had targets to work on and we have had parent's evenings to discuss how she is getting on. Our girl loves learning and the staff have followed her lead with this; supporting her to read and write reception-level work. She's had weekly music lessons as well as visiting the library and the local care home. The staff are welcoming and friendly and they are happy to listen if you have any questions or concerns. We will miss the nursery come September.

My daughter has been coming to Montessori People Nursery since she was 6 months old and is due to leave this year, ready for reception, I loved the feel about it so much, and I don't want her to leave, but since her being here they have brought her on so much, the staff are extremely friendly, and make my daughter feel at such ease with coming to nursery every day, she is never frightened to go, she loves it, they do so much with the kids it's really good.

My son started here in April 2018 since he has been attending he has become more confident in everything he does. Although my son can be a handful sometimes the staff are very happy to have him. They are very friendly and very welcoming. They are also very understanding on situations. I would recommend Montessori people to everyone I know.

After looking around many nurseries in the area, we knew as soon as we stepped in this one it was right for us. The atmosphere, staff and learning opportunities are all fantastic. My son enjoys his time at nursery and has made great progress personally, socially and academically despite only attending two days a week. Parents are kept well informed about their child’s day and the staff go over and above making you and your child feel welcome and relaxed. We are confident in the knowledge that our son is happy and well cared for which makes it so much easier leaving him to go to work. The nursery is also very flexible and accommodating when it comes to hours/days which was important to us when choosing a nursery.

Both of my children, now aged 7 and 3 have attended The Montessori People Nursery for around 18 months to 2 years, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. My daughter started nursery in 2013, and my son in 2016 and I was pleased to see many familiar faces the second time around. All of the girls in the nursery are caring and nurturing, and I know that my children are in safe hands. Both of my children loved attending the nursery, and I will be sad when my son leaves next week, as they really do make you feel part of a big happy family. The nursery rooms are bright, open spaces with plenty of room for the kids to run around, and is always clean. On occasion, I have requested additional hours/days at short notice, and they have always been able to accommodate my request (providing they are still within their agreed quota), and nothing is ever too much trouble. I would absolutely recommend the nursery to friends and family.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough! When it was time to put our daughter into daycare, we looked around some of the highest rated in the area and The Montessori People blew them all away from the off. They have exceeded all expectations and have been fantastic for my little girl. Great staff, great atmosphere, great setting.

My little girl (2.5 years) and little boy (1.5 years) have been attending this nursery for the last 7 months and they absolutely love it. I visited several nurseries but this nursery was by far the best one with friendly staff and lovely clean rooms. What attracted me most was the separate baby, toddler and tweenie rooms. In the early days, I would ring daily to check on the children and the staff would always reassure me. The staff provide excellent support and a flexible approach which is very helpful to manage with work commitments. Overall, my children have developed tremendously since attending the nursery.

A lovely nursery. Staff are very friendly and welcoming while still coming across as very professional. They’re very educationally focussed without pushing it on the child, making it fun for them. My son loves it here and is happy to go.
