The Elmfield Nursery

Both my children have attended Elmfield Nursery from 9 months to 4 years. The staff are lovely - so approachable and accessible at all times. They always have time for you including time to discuss your child at pick up and drop off times and on the telephone, which is an area I have found other nurseries lacking. As it is a relatively small nursery setting, it feels a lot more personal than others. The outdoor area is fantastic and the kids spend time outside most days, which was so important to us as we love the outdoors. There is a great variety of toys, crafts, music and games to stimulate the children of all ages. They often run activities around celebrations across the year and the kids have brought home some lovely keepsakes. The staff really get to know your child - what they enjoy doing as well as any quirks or challenges they may have, which is a real comfort as it shows the level of care and attention to each child. Both my kids have made lovely friends and memories at Elmfield.

Elmfield Nursery is brilliant and both my children have been very happy there. The staff are all so kind and know all the children, and care for them and teach them so well. The indoor and outdoor spaces are lovely and very welcoming. I always feel my kids are safe and happy there.

Our daughter has been at Elmfield for the last 2 years and has one more year before attending school. I can honestly say hand on heart there has never been anything I have had issues with or had to complain about at Elmfield. I have a lot of friends with children at different nurseries and I often hear their grumbles and issues they have and I feel very lucky that we have never had any of the same problems. The staff are all amazing, I know my daughter loves attending and feels safe and happy. She comes home with new words and experiences daily. The team are really accommodating and will bend over backwards to help, all the nursery staff are so welcoming and friendly. I am so happy we picked Elmfield and for looking forward to our little boy joining next year.

I love Elmfield Nursery, my youngest son is currently there and my oldest went from the age of 1. The staff are so caring towards the children and supportive to parents. The activities they do with the children are really creative and bring them on so much in terms of social and verbal skills. Additionally, the office staff are so helpful with all the paperwork involved with children and always on hand to answer questions. I would thoroughly recommend the nursery.

This is a fantastic nursery. Both my daughters have gone to Elmfield and absolutely love it. My youngest who is still there is so excited every morning to go. I find the staff outstanding, nothing is too much of an issue. My girls have grown and developed there and we have had such fantastic support from the Nursery over the years. It has recently been done out and is absolutely lovely. I could not recommend this nursery enough.

Such a fantastic nursery, the teachers are very caring and patient. My child's keyworker has been a vital part of my daughter's development and the support from the nursery is great and I always feel comfortable leaving my daughter at Elmfield Nursery. She skips in to see them and always leaves with a smile on her face.

A lovely nursery. Our daughter sadly leaves this week. Returning after lockdown was a challenge for her but the staff have been brilliant in working with her and us to address issues and make sure she’s happy at nursery. You can tell how much the whole team love and care for the children. A home from home and recommended.

Nursery workers are highly unprofessional. Children are almost never taken outdoors. In addition to that, they keep on losing private equipment or just do not return it. Overpaid fees for unusable sessions aren't refunded.

My son has been attending Elmfield since he was 12 months old and will be leaving the end of August to start reception. We can honestly say there will be a lump in our throats on his last day as he has loved it so much. It is like a little family as all the staff know the children so well even if they aren’t in their group. The attention to detail is brilliant and both the educational and play elements are combined really well. My son surprises me often with the things he has learned. I would more than recommend this nursery to those thinking about a new setting for their little one.

Choosing Elmfield as the place to care for our two children is the best decision we’ve made. We will really miss sending our boys there. We recommend the nursery 100% and thank all the staff for their efforts and support over the last 6-years.

Elmfield Nursery is fantastic! The staff are always so warm and welcoming, and my daughter loves going. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff have remained calm and nurturing with the children. The parent app allows you to see what your child has done during the day, including photos, which is great! I honestly cannot fault this nursery!

What can I say... Elmfield Nursery is the best. Both my children have progressed through Elmfield from babies. The staff are so caring and personable. They meet every child (and parents’ needs). Their understanding, compassion and genuine affection for the children is second to none. I feel happy and confident when my kids are there as I know they are being looked after just like at home. It’s like a big protective warm family. In my 6-years using the nursery, I have never had one thing to complain about. My kids come skipping out with smiles on their faces. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for childcare.

Our son has attended Elmfield for nearly two years, and we are extremely happy with his experience. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, and we know that he is happy. Staff are also very accommodating and are only too happy to go that extra mile. The resources and activities offered to the children always seem well thought out, and we know that the staff know our son well. Our son particularly loves the outdoor area! Communication is excellent, and we enjoy seeing photos and descriptions of our son’s day via the app. Our son will soon be a big brother, and we won’t hesitate to send our other child to Elmfield.

My daughter has been attending Elmfield Nursery a couple of days a week since just before her 1st birthday. She absolutely loves it, she doesn’t look back at me when she goes in and is excited to see everyone. She has made so much progress with her speech and learning to play with others and on her own. I love the fact they keep you updated through the parent's link app with activities and the food they have eaten through the day. She seems to take part in a lot of varied activities, and her skills have progressed tremendously. Would recommend Elmfield to everyone; I don’t have any concerns, and all the staff are lovely and amazing at their jobs.

Our son was so happy to return after lockdown, and we feel very confident in the changes that have been made to ensure safety - but crucially for us, the warm and loving atmosphere remains exactly the same. We feel very lucky to have found Elmfield; it is such a special place.

They have been calm and professional and allowed us to keep going to work when we have needed to; even opening their doors on bank holidays for key workers.

We couldn’t fault this place.

The variety of home-cooked food is great for his palette, and the girls provide lots of smiles and most importantly, cuddles which he loves!

The whole team at Elmfield are fantastic. It feels like a home to my daughter, and the staff are all extremely maternal and caring. It puts my mind at ease knowing she is in safe hands and having such wonderful days at Elmfield. The communication via the app is extremely good throughout the day. The activities created each day are extensive, and my daughter has learnt a lot from her time there. I would recommend the nursery to anyone wishing to find a safe, happy, caring and loving nursery for their child. It has exceeded my expectations.

The management is also very friendly, approachable and efficient - I always get a very quick response to any queries, and they are very sensitive to any concerns. In short, I’m extremely happy that we chose Elmfield!
