Tiddlywinks Day Nursery is in the heart of Easingwold offering an extensive outdoor space where children can thrive through their early years journey.

Tiddlywinks looks after children aged between birth and five years old and has three separate rooms for different ages and stages, allowing activities to be tailored to children's individual age and stage of development.

Our little one has been attending Tiddlywinks Easingwold for nearly two years and absolutely loves it. The staff are extremely loving and celebrate all of the children's achievements (my daughter once kindly told me I was a 'shining superstar' as I cooked her tea, high on the back of wonderful encouragement
and praise from the team when potty training). The activities the children are engaged in are amazingly inventive and creative and at the end of each nursery day we pick up a little one who is simply high on life - she's had delicious food, lots of fresh air and so much fun with her friends and the staff. We get plenty of feedback from staff about how's she doing and find all the team eager to help/offer advice if we have any queries or concerns. I honestly couldn't ask for more from a nursery setting; under their tender, nurturing care she's absolutely thriving.

My son attended Tiddlywinks Nursery from six months until he started school and our daughter is currently there now. The staff are a credit to the nursery and the care and support the children receive is excellent, I cannot recommend enough!

This nursery is amazing! We were fortunate enough to experience Tiddlywinks for two months (we were relocating and staying temporarily in the area).
The team are amazing and my son settled from the first session. They have a range of activities to entertain and educate children and are outside (preschoolers)
for most of the day, which is great! My son loves it there and has only had positive experiences.
The team at Tiddlywinks do such a wonderful job of nurturing the next generation and I only wish more nurseries provided this level of care and attention to detail!

My little boy has been at Tiddlywinks since February. The girls and all the staff are amazing, very caring and kind. He talks about his key worker all the time and has come on leaps and bounds since he started. They have an amazing set-up, go outside as often as they can, and provide fresh healthy foods
with lots of variety for him to try. Nothing is ever too much trouble and I feel at complete ease leaving him. I have nothing but good things to say about Tiddlywinks!

My little boy has been at Tiddlywinks since being a baby. The girls and all the staff are amazing, very attentive and very kind towards the children. I only have amazing things to say. The learning is fantastic, the outside area has been so good, especially through covid times and the outdoor play is
a massive hit with my little one. I’m going to be extremely sad when my son leaves as the last 4 years have been an ease! With no concerns in any areas. Would highly recommend the manager and Tiddlywinks Easingwold.

Amazing nursery. My little boy was clingy when he first started but they were so good with both myself and my little boy helping him settle and now he loves it. He’s come on so much and is a very confident child now and is learning so many new things every day, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Amazing nursery! Really lovely staff, my daughter loves coming home telling me all about her day and showing me new things she has learnt! She loves playing outside too and this nursery has a really good sized outdoor area with lots of different activities. She has settled so well! Highly recommend!

My son has come on leaps and bounds since joining Tiddlywinks. The staff go the extra mile to give children the kind of experiences that we could never give my son at home, and he genuinely looks forward to going to nursery. The feedback we get from the nursery is thorough and includes "next steps"
for every month to help with both educational and emotional development. The best thing though by far is the amount of time the children get to spend outside. This gives them a real appreciation for nature and just being outdoors, which we find brilliant as a family.

Tiddlywinks Easingwold is an amazing setting and has given both of our children such a wonderful pre-school experience! The outdoor space is fantastic and combined with the outside classroom area it is all so cleverly set up to encourage independence, creativity, imagination and lots of adventures -
whatever the weather! We love how the children are able to completely immerse themselves in whatever their interests may be at that time and are supported and encouraged to follow their ideas as far as they can take them. Both of our children have truly loved their time at Tiddlywinks and we cannot thank them enough for their continual efforts to provide such a caring, supportive and exciting environment and for the extra bit of magic that Tiddlywinks offers.

I cannot recommend Tiddlywinks enough! Friendly staff who I feel genuinely care for my son and celebrates his little victories. I love how rain or shine they make the most of outdoors and are now even napping outdoors! There is a lot of child led play and the true understanding that the work of a child
is play. I could of written this review back is 2019 when my eldest moved from another nursery to Tiddlywinks and for his first day it was a downpour of rain (I assumed they’d be indoors all day) when I picked up my 2yr 9month old he exclaimed he had the most wonderful day and for the first time went into detail of what materials are ‘waterproof’ as they experimented in the rain. As parents we are very happy in the knowledge that our children are getting the best opportunities to grow and flourish.

My boys have thrived at this nursery. It is an environment full of endless adventures and learning. The outdoor space is a magical place to have fun and explore, come rain or shine!! The activities are tailored beautifully to the needs of the group or individuals. The staff are very friendly and warm,

Tiddlywinks Easingwold provided amazing experiences for both of my children. It is a very caring, supportive and welcoming environment for little people with fantastic outdoor space and brilliant learning resources and activities. The staff know every child and are brilliant at helping them with their
development in all areas, as well as having great links and communication with parents. Tiddlywinks Easingwold was amazingly supportive of my child with additional needs, creating a special learning plan for her and sensory toys and resources. The nursery also has fantastic links with local primary schools and is great at helping to prepare children for the transition to school. Very highly recommend this excellent nursery!

I cannot praise this nursery enough! My review is really dated from September 2020, when my son first started at the age of 2 when we moved to the area. He'd had an extremely poor experience at a nursery not that far away, and I was concerned about how well he would settle into Tiddlywinks Easingwold.
It very quickly became apparent that I had absolutely no need to worry!


The staff are all fabulous with the children, they are very knowledgable about the development of children in the Early Years, and in addition to the incredible free choice activities the children have access to, the staff also plan specific activities which are tailor-made to meet the needs and interests of the children. I work in education, and I know what outstanding practice is, and I am confident in my judgement when I say that my child has made exceptional progress in all areas due to the hard work and dedication of all of his "nursery ladies". More importantly, he is a very happy little boy when he is there.

The staff have immediately formed a bond with our son, meaning he has been comfortable going there every day for the past year. We feel each member of staff goes above and beyond to follow each child’s interest, and make them interested in trying new activities. They often go outdoors and take advantage
of whatever weather it happens to be on the day. We fully trust Tiddlywinks Easingwold and will be sad to say goodbye when the time comes, but mostly very grateful for their fantastic work.

This is a small but deeply caring and adventurous nursery. The range of activities the children get up to is amazing, even in the baby room. Also lots of long time staff/not high turnover as in some places.

My daughter was moved to Tiddlywinks with severe hearing problems. It was an incredibly hard time for us all, as a family. Tiddlywinks supported me through the entire process and went above and beyond to help me. The support and dedication they have shown my daughter has been second to none and I cannot

Both of my girls have attended Tiddlywinks from when they were littlies in the baby room and they absolutely love it. The whole team really care and nurture all of the children and mine have definitely come on leaps and bounds since attending. They both have so much fun and my pre schooler is full of
