Kids Planet Whitwood

All the staff are caring, approachable and have the children's best interests at heart. Our little boy has formed some beautiful bonds and we know he's well looked after. This is our second child to attend Kids Planet Whitwood and I can't recommend the team highly enough.

We are very happy with our daughter's quality of care at Kids Planet in the baby class. All the staff have built up a relationship with my daughter. She recognises them and will reach out for cuddles so we know she is comfortable within her nursery surroundings. We feel like the staff do go the extra mile to encourage her development. She hasn't been mobile until recently and they have always had someone sat with her to keep her company. We have always struggled getting her to eat crunchy textures and picking food up with her hands, well we've gone to pick her up and we learn she's been eating toast, crumpets and eating with her hands! Our daughter (17 mnth) does toilet on the potty at home, although she doesn't seem to want to do it at nursery - maybe she is a little shy, the staff do persevere and provide her that chance to potty during the day which we appreciate. Staff are always friendly, helpful and the room is always clean even at the end of a busy day.

Both my daughters attend here and it has brought them on leaps and bounds! They both enjoy nursery, both are always happy when I pick them up. All staff are friendly and helpful and are always happy to answer any questions and always give a thorough description of their days.

I am a mum who has really struggled with with leaving my daughter, but she absolutely loves kids planet. Her key worker is her favourite person in the world at the moment and we receive regular updates via the app on what she is doing with her day. All the staff are warm and friendly and they genuinely care about my daughter. She has come on so much since starting and thats a testament to the staff in the baby room. The management have taken time to reassure me about leaving her, if I have had to go and collect her, they've explained everything and have supported me when I've had questions or queries.

I can not thank the whole team enough as they have made my transition to going back to work easier than I thought it would.

Lost items are usually found quickly and accidents well reported.

This nursery is very child centred and is all about providing care and extra support with any learning disabilities and skills that they may discover ans are happy to offer guidance. Also if your child was to injury themselves like my did they are effective at getting the help needed.

Our boy wouldn't eat nursery food. Point blank refused it every single time for months and months. I've requested to send him with a packed lunch or at least some snacks he likes from home. They have refused to make a reasonable adjustment for us to do so. So all the time he was in there, he was hungry. Any requests or concerns were taking ages to be responded to. And I had to chase everything several times. We've been lucky enough to find a different place for him where his basic needs are met and he's well looked after.

The only nursery I looked at that I was happy to send my baby girl to, after going for 3 months, my opinion hasn't changed! It's lovely and all the staff are so caring. I can't recommend this nursery enough!

Would also love some photos every now and again on the app throughout the day what child has been up to.

We couldn't be happier with the nursery! Our child loves going every day. The staff are always smiling and energetic, greeting him warmly at the door. They create a fun-filled day, and we really appreciate the detailed updates and ideas for activities to do at home. It's a truly joyful place for him to be.

It's always hard trusting someone else with your baby and it's even tougher when they are so little and rely on others to look after their every need. I have to say that Kids Planet staff have made everything so easy for me and my daughter, from settling-in sessions to communication, to drop off and pick-ups. It took a while for my daughter to settle in since she was only going once or twice a week but the staff adapted their way of working with her to make everything easy for her. They let me take her own sleeping bag so she was comfortable whilst napping and make sure her comfort Teddy was never far behind her. The staff are amazing and it's the personal touches I really appreciate, from the updates on the app to the little homemade gifts at Christmas. My daughter loves nursery and I can go to work confident and happy she is going to be loved and looked after as I would expect.

We are not from the area so I was really weary about finding the correct setting for my 2 children. I was recommended Kids Planet, Whitwood by several people and it was the best decision I ever made. My now 4-year-old loved her time here, they helped me with a referral to Speech and Language, supporting her in many ways and she absolutely loved her time there. My 2-year-old joined when she was 16 months old, and they supported and still do with her social skills and keep me up to date via the app/phone. I feel very settled with her being at this setting and she is coming on leaps and bounds from attending. Thank you so much!

I am kept updated throughout the day on how he's eating/napping and how many nappy changes he has as long with lovely pictures of him playing. My son can be difficult at drop off times but the staff handle this really well and he soon settles.

Absolutely love kids planet, my son loves going to nursery and usually runs happily in to the setting and the room. They are being very helpful with arranging meetings to discuss my son development as and when needed. He seems happy here which is amazing. Happy to answer any questions you have etc.

My little boy started here 2 weeks ago and my only thought is why didn't I get him in here sooner! The staff are amazing making sure he is happy and settled. I receive daily updates letting me know what he's been up to and how much he is enjoying it. From the minute we came to look round we knew this is the place where we wanted him to be. The nursery is fantastic and so are the staff.

The nursery is of good size and is equipped with Montessori toys that immediately delighted my son. The kindergarten is well secured and my child can feel safe there.

All the staff are always friendly and really good with the kids.

My daughter started at Kids Planet just before her 1st birthday. She is now in tots room and is thriving. The staff are so attentive and accommodating. My little girl loves her time at nursery. We recently received a gorgeous bag of Christmas artwork which was a lovely touch for the festive period.
