Kids Planet Altofts

All staff are friendly and helpful on pick up and drop off and he seems to have settled well. It is nice to receive the app updates of him getting opportunities to play and learn in a different way and he genuinely seems to be thriving.

We have had a very positive experience from day one. The staff are helpful and friendly. Our little girl loves going. We enjoy the updates daily about activities and routines. Couldn't ask for more. Very happy.

Our experience with Kids Planet Altofts has been exceptional. From the day my daughter came to this nursery, the experience has been wonderful and she thoroughly enjoys her time there. They have always been so accommodating with settling her in at her own pace, and always being so smiley and friendly so she felt welcome. They are so good at challenging her so she tries new activities and doing things she really enjoys.

They someone link that into educational values and adapt it to suit the other children in the setting. Exceptional service.

My son started at the baby bungalow in October and has come on leaps and bounds in all aspects of his development since starting. I was nervous at first leaving him when starting back work but the staff are lovely and really helped reassure me and ease my worry with regular updates of him throughout the day. He loves nursery and is excited to be handed over to the nursery staff on a morning. You can tell they have a great bond. I would highly recommend Kids Planet, especially the baby bungalow.

My little boy has just started and although he has struggled to separate on a morning, seems to be settling in well. I haven't received many learning posts on the app so haven't seen much of what he is up to, but the app is clear to follow and easy to use. The social media page isn't updated much, including information about meals/menus or term time dates. Posts about nappy changes/sleep/meals are uploaded hours after or sometimes they have been uploaded after he has been collected. Greeting on a morning often feels rushed. Communication and emails around fees are prompt and clear. The staff seem friendly and approachable.

My granddaughter skips into the nursery most mornings she loves it. The staff are lovely and she's come on leaps and bounds since joining over a year ago. It's a lovely setting with a great outdoor space for all-weather play.

Whenever I have raised a query with the team they have always escalated it quickly and resolved it.

Since moving into the preschool room my daughter has been thriving and enjoying going. She has come on loads and is so sociable and looks forward to seeing her friends every week. I always get updates from my daughter's key worker about her day, what she's been up to, and what she's eaten throughout the day.

Excellent staff who welcome the children and have a clear knowledge of all of the children and their individual needs. They always have time to update you on the days activities and any concerns or feedback on your child. The range of activities they provide for the children to be involved with is very varied and it is wonderful to see the children's skills and knowledge growing all the time. It is a pleasure visiting the nursery and seeing happy children and such caring staff.

My daughter started Kids Planet Altofts in September 2024 in the baby hub. The staff are always really supportive on drop off and send regular updates throughout the day to make sure we know she's ok and happy. There are always lots of activities and play to keep her little mind busy. The management has always been really quick and responsive to any queries we have. The hub staff are always really friendly if calling for an update via telephone and regularly update the app with how she is developing from birth to 5.

Cannot recommend this nursery enough! The love any support shown for my two children is exceptional. The staff know my children completely and support them accordingly. I always feel safe leaving my kids knowing they are honest and would always be truthful regarding my children 10/10.

The staff have been absolutely lovely and amazing with my child, they have taught her an incredible amount whilst she's been in this setting. She's so happy through her time whilst she's there and have made plenty of friends. The staff are super welcoming and my child loves to spend time with them during the time that she is here. The staff has made my child so much more confident in doing tasks and I have really seen a huge difference in her behaviour.

Whilst pregnant with my 2nd child and after, the team at Kids Planet were always very supportive of the changes and emotions that my eldest child (who attends the nursery) would be going through with the arrival of a sibling. They can't do enough for you and go the extra mile, even something as simple as a cup of tea and a friendly chat. I can't recommend the nursery enough. They always keep you informed of what's happening and what your child's been doing through the day. My eldest absolutely loves it there and I've already got my youngest a place there. As always, my children have been very well looked after and come home happy. They always have varied, educational but fun days. The staff are all so lovely and take a genuine interest in my babies, how they are feeling and their development. We are kept well informed on their daily activities and meals. Thank you to all staff at Kids Planet Altofts!

So far I am really happy with Altofts Kids Planet Nursery. My son enjoys going, he loves his teachers and other children. I like how much he eats when he is there as he is way more fussy at home. The new app is great as there is a lot more information on it and no need to do a full handover on pick up.

I regret to express my disappointment with the current state of the Kids Planet Altofts setting. Since Kids Planet took over the nursery, I've observed a dramatic decline in care, inadequate funding provision, and a noticeable drop in standards. Staff turnover is concerning, leaving parents uncertain about their child's caregivers without any notification or introductions. The overall appearance and cleanliness of the setting have significantly declined, indicating a departure from the once homely environment. Unfortunately, it seems that family priorities have taken a backseat, and there's a lack of evident central support, suggesting potential financial challenges. I now have zero confidence now my daughter is old enough to confirm reality. Consider carefully before placing your child in settings that have deviated from their original values and seem solely focused on financial gains. Although expressing this is disheartening, urgent changes are necessary to rescue this setting.

The staff are the key to this place being as outstanding as it is. They care so much for the children, my kids in particular have special bonds with certain members of staff and it really shows in how happy they always are there. The staff go over and above to make every day different and I feel comfortable going to work and dropping my kids off with these lovely people. The activities they do with them on a daily basis is fantastic. The variety of meals they get is great with fresh fruit always at their fingertips. The holiday club is awesome, they pack in a creative and fun-filled schedule each day which I know must take a lot of work to organise. I couldn't be happier with the settings my children are at.

Hillside has been absolutely incredible for both my daughter and me. They are like family! A lovely personable team who are always striving for my daughter to be the best that she can be! Allowing her to fully explore her questions, grow in her own way and have plenty of adventure! The team keeps me up to date with all that my daughter gets up to at nursery and have even given us books to take home to help her understand difficult topics she has asked about! They are always happy and positive and happy to talk and have even given me help on the type of school structure that my daughter would best thrive in! They take the time to really invest in each and every child individually and are absolutely incredible in what they do! We love them! It's the most fantastic nursery. My daughter has been so happy there (she attended 2 previous nurseries when she was younger and they don't even come close!) Their activities are always varied and exciting and are always so engaging.

My child has been attending Hillside Childcare for 18 months. She attends 4 days a week, and the growth and development apparent in her from day one was very recognisable: personal, educational and cognitive. My child gets excited for nursery and you can see how much she enjoys attending Hillside Childcare when you drop her off, which makes it a lot easier for me as a parent. The staff are amazing; no matter which room they are allocated within, they all know my child personally and she is happy with all of them. The updates are fantastic which makes sending her four days a week at such a young age much easier. They offer such varied activities, healthy meals and their devotion to the children and their development and enjoyment is obvious. They also consider families too: offering many family activities for parents to attend, which is lovely watching my child in the nursery environment. I would 100% recommend Hillside to anyone looking for full time or part time childcare.
