Set in a happy and welcoming environment, Kids Planet Austhorpe provides care and education for babies, toddlers and children up to the age of five years.

The nursery’s team of friendly staff is highly experienced and provides a stimulating and enabling environment to promote children’s learning and development. They work closely with parents to establish the best transition through the nursery rooms for the individual child, waiting until they reach certain developmental phases rather than progressing according to age.

Children at the nursery follow the Early Years Foundation Stage in the activities they participate in, which enables them to learn and absorb effectively in a supportive environment, while also developing softer skills such as communication and relationship building.

The nursery offers out of school clubs, including a before school club, an after school club, and a holiday club, all of which provide children with a fun atmosphere where they can play, draw or complete homework.

I can highly recommend Sunbeams nursery, we have used them for the last 3 years to care for my 2 daughters and everyone has been exceptional. The staff really care about my girls and do everything they can to make their days in nursery enjoyable. They took extra care and gave lots of extra cuddles through
the early days when they were settling in and now both of them love going. They have both come on really well and the staff are very knowledgeable about how to develop them in specific areas when needed.
The outdoor area is very good and they go outside as much as the weather permits, it's a great location with views of fields and the occasional tractor or herd of cows for entertainment!
Thanks to Sunbeams my eldest is already well prepared to start school next year and looking forward to it (even if I'm not!). We will continue to use the holiday clubs for many years to come as it is a great facility, again run by really caring staff.

Excellent nursery with outstanding service. Trust the long standing staff who are trained at a very high level. Detailed explanations of what a child has/ has not done at end of each day. Very good communication between staff/ parents/ children. Was worried when I moved my daughter from another nursery
but she settled in well. When I had concerns that she didn't know her numbers very well, the preschool staff spent time and focused on this straightaway. My son has settled in very well too. The efforts and dedication of the staff definitely show through in the children's development.

My little girl is extremely happy here, she has been going since she was six months old and loves every day there. No matter what mood she is in when I take her, she is all smiles and happiness as soon as she gets in the front door. The staff are exceptional and they have a fantastic balance between
learning and playing. I could not recommend them higher.

Sunbeams have always been fantastic with my son, he has been going to this nursery since April and has never had any complaints or worries, even back in the days of him crying every morning when I would leave him staff were so lovely and take care of parents as well as your precious babies!

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Leanne joined Austhorpe Nursey Leeds in September 2009 as a senior nursery Nurse and worked her way up to join the managers team in 2014. As well as being a mum of two with 19 years’ experience with working in Early years, she holds a level 3 Diploma and Level 4 in Early Childhood polices, as well as a Level 3 Management. She is very passionate when it comes to child development and working with the practitioners to build a rich learning environment for the children.
