My son is currently in the Gildersome setting and the Nursery is absolute amazing. My child has been in there since the age of 1 and wasn't not confident with new people or surroundings. However Muddy boots have really turned it around especially my Sons Key workers his confidence have grown, his speech has come on leap and bounds and its no hassle on a morning to get him to nursery for me to rush to work. The nursery is very accommodating and patient with both parent and child. The communication is brilliant and secure which is a piece of mind for me as In the nature of my work I need to ensure my child is safe and happy and looked after. Recently, I was offered a different setting however due to the most recent visit I was not happy to remove my child from Muddy boots and its the best decision made. Muddy Boots is embedded in our hearts as when im telling my son he has done something wrong at home he gets shoes and says his Key worker name and goes to the door!
My daughter has attended Muddy boots Gildersome since she was 10 months old. I was very nervous but the staff are very caring and you can see they really care about each child. My child loves staff there and talks about them daily. She has recently moved rooms and love hearing the songs she has learnt at nursery and new words etc. I love the famly app updates and I get so excited to see what my child has been doing at the end of each day and show her the pictures and ask about her friends and activities. The activities are so creative and my child has evem started requesting to make her own cereal (i know they teach this independence even at 2 years old at nursery) which is fantastic! She even gets opportunities to take part in external activities which she enjoys singing and dancing etc. Food - has fantastic menu and looks amazing! Would recommend this nursery to other parents!
I have recommended Muddy Boots to friends and will continue to do so
E loves nursery and has so much fun when shes there. She enjoys sharing her experiences with us at home, telling us about her day and singing songs she's learnt. I am really enjoying the chefs updates, its great to see the food (which E loves!)
I would highly recommend muddy boots gildersome to any parent looking for somewhere to place their child. I was a very worried parent putting my child in nursery but the staff are amazing and made me feel at ease straight away and give updates on my child throughout the day & also settled my daughter in very well. They have brilliant food options for the kids meal times , and do a lot of fun and engaging activities with the children to help them progress with their learning .
I've had two children attend this nursery and have both loved it. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They work very hard to accommodate the needs of both parents and children, I would highly recommend.
The activities prepared for the children every day are amazing with new themes and activities to keep them interested and engaged.
The meals are amazing my little girl fussy with her meals but they always make sure she eats something. Never goes without.
Meals are not set for individual children's preferences and needs, even though you get charged for it which means my child misses out on a meal every week and is hungry at pick-up time.
Our aim is that mealtimes at Kaleidoscope are happy, social occasions for children and practitioners. In line with our Nutrition Policy and government guidelines, we encourage healthy eating by providing healthy foods for children. At breakfast time we offer a selection of cereals or toast....
For a very nervous mum and a toddler with sensory issues, the staff at Kaleidoscope Day Nursery at Gildersome have been nothing short of amazing. My little boy has come on leaps and bounds in so many different aspects and always leaves the nursery in the most wonderful mood. Forever thankful for the staff there and what they do for each child individually.
My son has been with Kaleidoscope since he was 9 months old. He's 2 now and can honestly say he loves nursery and has from the beginning. The staff are always friendly on pick up and drop off, they clearly care for and enjoy working with the children. I'm really happy with the activities they do throughout the day and the meals as well.
Both of our children have attended the nursery from 10 months old through to the start of school. We've always found the nursery a lovely, caring setting where our children are loved and well nurtured.
My son has been going to Kaleidoscope - Gildersome since June 2019 and I’m so pleased with my choice after initially being apprehensive about him going to nursery. His key worker has been wonderful, I really believe she has a genuine affection for him. When he first started going he was quite insecure and would cry when I left him, which is heartbreaking, but the staff always took good care of him and gave him lots of reassurance/cuddles, following routines that we have at home. They also reassured me, and are always happy for me to ring during the day to check on him. He absolutely loves going now and resettled really well after ‘lockdown’. I’m kept up to date with his adventures during the day via the ParentZone app and the photos on there give me an idea of what he’s doing which is also reassuring. They keep the activities varied and educational whilst also allowing the children to lead the play. My son also has food allergies and they have catered well for this. I would highly recommend!
Our daughter has been attending Kaleidoscope Nursery for over 18 months. All of the staff are fantastic. She is so happy and contented and we love to hear what she has been doing. The feedback is great and we know she is learning so much and enjoying herself at the same time. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery for any age.
The communication throughout this pandemic has been exceptional! They have made changes to ensure a safe return for all. My little boy can’t wait to go back!
We moved our daughter to this nursery when she was just over 3 years old due to her previous nursery not being up to standard.
We are so happy with Kaleidoscope.
The app is great as it is updated every day with what my child has done and shows where she is in her development. Her speech has also come on quite well as this was behind for her age.
They have plenty of different activities to do during the day and the outside space is really good too. It’s sometimes hard to get her to leave at the end of the day!
My daughter being in the oldest room has also had the chance to go to forest school, which she absolutely loved and was included for free.
My 2-year-old son goes to Kaleidoscope once a week and absolutely loves it there! The staff are so friendly and kind. He loves all of them and is always super excited to go! He is always coming home with paintings/drawings/biscuits he has decorated. Would highly recommend!
Having had such a great experience sending my first child (now at school), I knew this was the perfect place to send my youngest when I returned to work.
All the staff know each child really well and are really friendly at drop-off and pick up. It is lovely that they ask after my eldest child (and talk to him if he is with me) and also my niece who also used to attend.
I decided to leave my job six months ago and we have kept my son in nursery. I think that this speaks volumes for how we value the level of care and education he receives.
The communication with home is excellent - I love the app and social media page. It is so nice to view photos of what they’re getting up to each day. The menu is fantastic and very varied and he eats very well. The activities planned are brilliant and I like how they get to spend lots of time outdoors.
I can’t recommend it enough!
Such a wonderful, nurturing environment with the biggest outdoor space I've seen at a nursery.
The small, homely feel of the house suits our children better than some of the bigger venues we looked around, and the open plan layout encourages the children to mix and ensures good supervision and oversight from the management team.
We are so impressed with the staff who offer very personal care, taking time to listen to our children and what's going on in their lives, and always are engaging with the children when I do pick up. They have been very responsive and worked closely with us when we have asked for adjustments. Our eldest daughter is quite sensitive but all the staff are so caring when she gets upset and comfort and distract her. They also cater to our specialist diet and our eldest has recently done the forest school programme which she absolutely loves.
They deserve their outstanding Ofsted rating.
My son has been at this Nursery now for over a year and he absolutely loves it.
From the staff to the other children, we had a minor issue at one point and all the staff couldn’t have done enough for us and our son.
His speaking, understanding and overall life skills have improved beyond our wildest expectations we sometimes can’t believe how much he’s learnt.
