Banana Moon Day Nursery Mirfield

Our babies love coming to nursery, as soon as they get outta car they know instant where they are, with a big smile on their face. They have settled in really well and all the staff are lovely, it's really good that the app is updated throughout the day and it's a little treat to see them enjoying the activities throughout your workday.

We would definitely recommend Banana Moon to other parents. Our daughter has been attending for just short of two years now, and her key workers in particular have always gone above and beyond to build a relationship with her, tailor activities to her interests and encourage her confidence. There's a wide range of activities that she enjoys and always has fun filled stories to share with us about her days. Management also know the children by name and show a great interest in their development. The home learning activities provided are always a favourite in our house, from the baking bags, to sunflower growing, to craft competitions.

My daughter loves this nursery, she runs in every morning and it's usually hard to get her to leave at the end of the day. She gets up to the best activities, which we keep track of daily on the app. The staff are so lovely and engage with every child to make it a fun and inclusive setting for all.

My child has been attending Banana Moon for almost 2 years and I can't say enough how amazing it is! The facilities are wonderful, with a wide range of toys and activities to keep the children entertained, including regular trips out into the local community. The app is fantastic, providing regular updates (including photos) to keep parents informed on daily activities and is also used to get private or general messages to parents. The menus are varied and through the app you're informed how much they've eaten. Last but definitely not least a comment on the staff - kind, personable, great communicators and somehow able to keep a track of who everyone is despite it being a large setting! It's lovely walking in to collect my little one and being greeted by staff, whether those in reception or just passing on the corridors. Overall I can't recommend them highly enough and have recommended them to every local parent I've come across!!

A wonderful management team take care and look after Mirfield Banana Moons with such care and passion for what they do - smooth transitions from baby moans to now mini moons my little girl has enjoyed learning, growing, exploring with other children and happy, caring, joyful nursery teachers, who create fun and education activities in a safe and wonderful space for young child - we love our nursery!

Fantastic and friendly childcare service, our daughter has been there since 7 months old. She's developed and learnt so much and it's proven in her confidence both at home and in social environments.

I have always been so pleased and appreciative of how much effort the staff at Banana Moon Mirfield. My child always has so much fun when at nursery. They offer such a good variety of meals so the children get to try plenty of different foods and the activities they do with the kids always has an element to help them learn new skills and information.

We were very anxious to initially send our child to nursery, however, she has transitioned really well with the support of the staff and she now misses nursery on her non nursery days! We have noticed a progress in her vocabulary and social skills and hope that this further develops in her time there. The staff are very caring and show alot of support towards the children and we are happy to be a part of Banana Moon!

Lyla recently moved into teenie moons. I honestly cannot thank the staff enough for helping her with her transition. She now comes home shouting nursery on repeat and telling me how much she loves it! The activities are great and very age appropriate and they spend a lot of time outdoors which she loves! Really happy with everything and would highly recommend

Our son has been in nursery since February 2024 and absolutely flourished in his time at Banana Moon. He's built great relationships and friendships in each of the stages. The highlight of our day is hearing stories from the day just gone, and what he's been up to. Such a relief for parents to leave their child knowing they're in capable hands.

We particularly value the excellent communication. Whether it's through the app or in-person chats, we always feel connected to her day. We are so grateful to the team for providing such a stimulating and caring environment!

What can I say about Banana Moon Mirfield, everyone is our extended family! Starting nursery and beginning that journey is always going to be an emotional transition but everyone at Banana Moon is so lovely and caring it makes it easy. They invest in you as a family, not just the child. Every practitioner is passionate about what they do, nothing is too much trouble and there is always a listening ear when you need it. Our little boy is thriving, from starting at 10 months old to now being 4 year old his development has come on leaps and bounds! We couldn't be prouder parent's! It will be a sad day when he leaves in July for school but our little girl will be beginning with them in September and we get to do the Banana Moon journey all over again!

We've had such a positive experience with our 16 month old boys nursery so far.

In just two months of attending, I've seen such a noticeable change in him. His confidence has grown, his communication has come on brilliantly and he just seems that bit more independent. It's amazing what the right environment can do.

The management team are clearly very competent and organised. The days feel well structured and purposeful, which as a parent gives you real reassurance. You can tell there's strong leadership.

His keyworker is absolutely lovely, kind, engaging and genuinely invested in him. He lights up when he sees her and that says everything. I feel completely confident leaving him there each week, which is no small thing.

We couldn't be happier with the setting and the care he's receiving. It feels safe, nurturing and professional.

Excellent, thorough updates and communication. Our Child can't get enough of the activities they do, having fun but most importantly learning and developing every day. Great variation of food and plenty of time outdoors.

I was very apprehensive about sending my little boy to nursery but I can honestly say, I could not be happier with Banana Moon! The staff are so friendly and the nursery has such a warming but fun atmosphere. My little boy has taken so well to the staff and loves attending, he's always in the best mood when I pick him up.

I am very impressed with the app used by staff to update parents throughout the day, I always look forward to seeing photos of my child taking part in different activities when I'm at work.

Food is also fantastic, lots of variety and home cooked meals. Always smells beautiful too.

My little girl loves Teenie Moons at Banana Moon Mirfield. I was very apprehensive about the move from Baby Moons to Teenies (Baby Moons were just amazing!) however it has been an absolutely brilliant transition and my little girl has settled amazingly. The staff are all wonderful with the children, they are so caring and welcoming. I can't ask for any more! The updates on the app are great, there are so many different activities planned each day and the food always sounds delicious. My little girl is happy, safe and loves the staff - I would absolutely recommend Banana Moon Mirfield to anyone looking for a nursery.

Both my children have attended banana moon over the last 6 years. My youngest is in full moons now and has the best time every day he attends. The staff in full moons have always made an effort to learn about my son and made strong bonds with him. They plan activities around his current development stage and use his interests to get his and keep his attention. The management always have time for you and will help with anything they can do. I would recommend this nursery to anybody in the local area. They have good connections with local schools aswell when transiting to school.
