Stepping Stones Day Nursery - Gomersal

My daughter has been going since she was 9 months old (now nearly 3) and my youngest started at 8 months (now 11 months). Both children have loved the nursery and are happy to go over to the lovely staff members who greet them each morning. There is a real mix of experience and personalities within the staff and I think this really helps the children feel at home. I like the responsibility they allow the children to take from a young age and feel the daily roles and routines really help their development. The daily play activities are varied and engaging for the children, I think the outdoors activities such as climbing and balancing really help their physical development. I really appreciate that families are invited into the nursery for play and stays and special events such as Christmas and the sports day, and I think the children really value this too.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery for two and one-twelfth years and has come on leaps and bounds. She thoroughly enjoys going to nursery so much it’s hard to get her to leave. She has so much love for the staff, who in turn also care for her needs. We couldn’t ask for a better place for our daughter and her Henry bear.

After numerous recommendations we came to view Stepping Stones back in 2020 and we never went to view any other nurseries as we were so impressed. My first child has now graduated, but my youngest little boy still attends and he absolutely adores going to nursery and all the staff. Both of my boys suffer with allergies and eczema and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to look after my boys. They go above and beyond to ensure they’re included, and have meals as close as they can to the others so they don’t feel left out. They are also amazing at involving families, they do numerous stay and play sessions, tea parties and trips where close family members are able to join and they’re always brilliantly organised, and really fun. I’d recommend Stepping Stones to anyone looking for a nursery, my boys have come on leaps and bounds whilst attending and I can’t thank the team enough.

An absolutely fantastic nursery. Both my children attended and still attend Stepping Stones, my nephews also attended and I recommend the nursery for anyone looking for childcare. My youngest started out in the baby room at just 1 year old and is currently in pre-school and absolutely loves coming to nursery. All the staff are amazing always on hand to answer any questions, always smiling and welcoming. The children do so much during their day and go out into the community as often as they can. The nursery manager will accommodate any requirements as best she can. The staff have very close relationships with all the children and not just their key children. Sad this is our last year with Stepping Stones but so happy my children had such a fantastic nursery to attend.

I feel totally at ease that my child will not just be safe and well cared for but that their developmental needs are well met; over and beyond our expectations. The team are so creative in the activities on offer and they offer a home-from-home environment allowing children the opportunity to go out on regular trips from nursery and take risks (in a safe and well-managed way). I feel the staff at Stepping Stones Gomersal are down-to-earth, personable and professional. I have total confidence in the management and leadership of the nursery and my usual parent worries about managing the stages of my little boy's behaviour have always been met with understanding, reassurance, and strategies for managing this when I have asked for this. I would highly recommend this setting to any parent looking at nurseries for their precious babies or toddlers.

We absolutely love this nursery. Each morning every staff member is happy to see you. They’re so smiley and welcoming that you’re immediately put at ease. The care of the children is impeccable, the daily activities are so creative and educational, along with the seasonal activities. The food is amazing and it’s so helpful getting a daily diary to know what has been eaten and how much. I can’t thank the staff enough for their care of our child, and we really appreciate the opportunity to be part of some of the activities, such as sports day, Christmas show etc. Thank you all again so much.

My 2 children both attend nursery with my little boy going for nearly 2 years and my daughter starting a few weeks ago. They both love spending time in nursery and they have both flourished especially my little boy. The staff have always been kind and helpful whenever I have had queries. Would definitley recommend.

Gomersal Stepping Stones is an amazing nursery. My little girl absolutely loves going to nursery, she has developed so much since she started attending. All the staff are so lovely and friendly as well so I always feel at ease knowing my baby is being looked after by this amazing bunch! There is always so much going on for the children it’s a lovely environment with great outside space.

I would highly recommend Stepping Stones!

My son has really settled into nursery since starting in April 2023. At first he was a little unsure, however, the team have worked really hard to ensure he is happy and settled! Every time we pick him up we are given a detailed account of his day. I can tell my son has really taken to his key worker! All the team are friendly and even the staff that work in other parts of the nursery know my son's name which is really nice.

Fantastic nursery with great staff. Our child loves going and was made to feel welcome from day one. The staff are all very patient and knowledgeable when it comes to the development of the children. It is always a very happy and welcoming atmosphere to walk into at pick up time. Thank you to all the staff in the baby room for taking care of our little man.

The standard of care and the activities and fun he has are all I could want for him and more in a nursery. From speaking to friends with children at other establishments, I know that they're well above the standard. The staff have also been phenomenal and great help with any support we've needed, and I'm so grateful. If I had my time again, I'd absolutely go to Stepping Stones for my son's childcare. He's a smart, sensitive and happy boy, and I'm certain that Stepping Stones has actively contributed to his development.

They truly are the best and we are really going to miss them all.

My little boy started here in May. The only way to describe the nursery and team is amazing! They put every effort into making you and your child feel at ease with their first days. The communication from the nursery is brilliant they keep you in the loop with everything. The food menu is delicious with such a variety during the week, the activities are not only fun but educational bringing the children on leaps and bounds. They take them out at least twice a week which I think is fantastic! My little boy absolutely loves coming here and I'm so glad I chose stepping stones. Thank you!

Stepping Stones Gomersal has been a fantastic nursery for my twins. They started at age one and are leaving now at age three. The nursery has a warm and caring atmosphere. The staff are friendly and outgoing and show a genuine interest in each child. The manager of the nursery is very caring, trustworthy and hardworking. The nursery put on many events for families to attend. They show genuine care towards all who attend and work hard to put on fun activities and learning for the children.

I can not speak highly enough of all the staff there, my daughter will truly miss everyone and I’d highly recommend Stepping Stones to anyone looking at care for their children.

We moved to Sepping Stones after issues at our sons previous nursery. We have found the staff here to be happy, professional and patient. The setting is quite small and homely, the staff are all regular, no high turn around and no agency staff. Our son has never been happier. They go out almost daily on local walks, to parks and a summer coach/theme park trip annually. I feel completely relaxed knowing my son is in good, caring hands when I drop him off.

We leave at the end of summer for the last time and I know we will miss them.
