A fantastic nursery and staff. Childsplay have shown my child such love at her time at nursery and taught her lots. May we thank each and every one of the staff from the bottom of our hearts for taking care of her, especially when she was in her spica cast after her two hip dysplasia operations. I know
she was hard work then but Childsplay accommodated her and still made her feel part of their family. We are truly grateful for this. We thank Childsplay also for looking after our other child when she was at nursery. As from next week, our children will have left behind an era at Childsplay. I feel like a piece of me will be missing! Lots of love to all the staff at Childsplay and THANK YOU all once again for all the care and love you have shown my children.

My daughter has attended this nursery and is about to finish this summer.

I have to say this nursery is absolutely brilliant. Staff are friendly and brilliant, there are CCTV cameras inside and out, the nursery has an app to keep you updated when they signed in and out, what they ate at nursery,

you can message them and get quick responses and be updated on events.

Staff pick up my daughter from primary school. I drop my other daughter off to which makes it easier for me (they do breakfast club which some children from the school attend too).

They also finished the year with a well-done graduation event for the preschoolers, hired gowns and hats, and presented the show with the children, followed by a small party.

I am very happy I chose this nursery for my child and will definitely recommend to others. Thank you Childsplay nursery.

I just want to thank each and every one of the staff at Childsplay for everything they've done for my son. He settled in really well at Childsplay thanks to the amazing staff, he never really settled in at any other nursery so it was a big thing for us for him to finally enjoy it. He really liked his
teachers and they all made him feel really welcome and comfortable. All the staff always go above and beyond for the children and I can't thank them enough for motivating him to succeed.
My son has come on so much all thanks to them, he's developed vital skills to get him ready for school and he's become so independent. His behaviour has also improved massively since he started.
Also, he now eats most of his fruit and vegetables which he never did before and I think nursery has played a big part in that! Excellent nursery! I would highly recommend the nursery and I will always praise it. Such a pleasant experience.

I cannot recommend child's play enough. I have 2 children attending here and thanks to the staff's patience, understanding and communication with the parents both my children are very very happy here. Unfortunately, one child is an extremely fussy eater but thanks to the amazing cook they are always
finding ways to make sure he still enjoys the food on offer that day.

My son loves going to nursery and I feel safe knowing he is looked after. All staff are friendly and extremely good with him. I would not change anything even though there are closer nursery’s in the area I make the longer travel because of how great this place is and recommended child’s play to everyone.
Thank you for how much you have helped him grow and develop when he is in your care.

Absolutely amazing nursery. I would highly recommend sending your child too. Such caring staff who have helped my son in every way possible, he’s turned into such a clever little man and that’s due to the hard work put in by the staff members.

My little girl's first day at Childsplay was at the age of 5 months and she leaves in a couple of weeks to start her big school journey! There is no doubt in my mind that she is more than ready for the next phase of her journey, she will be starting school in September and is capable of counting to
50, writing her own name and can recite the full phonetic alphabet, Childsplay have played a massive part in her journey and I cannot thank them enough!

The girls at Childsplay have been amazing each and every step of the way, from weening, to potty training to moving house - the transition from home life to nursery life has been seamless and is the main reason I chose to keep my little girl in this nursery despite now living in Leeds. It's a big decision to return to work full time as a mum but knowing that my little girl has been so happy to attend nursery has made the mama guilt much easier to take!

Thank you all so much, I know my child is going to miss you lots! :-)

My child loves going to nursery and I know 100% she is well-looked-after. All the staff are so caring and friendly and if she gets upset I know she will be ok when I leave her. Staff are always easy to contact and speak with either face to face or by phone. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone
who wants a safe welcoming place to leave their child with trusted lovely people.

Absolutely love daycare couldn't be more than happy with the daycare I chose for my 2 kids. My son has asthma and allergies and the staff do everything in their power to look after my little boy and really make my kids feel happy and teach them so well.
From when I 1st brought my kids to Childsplay,
they have learnt so many new things. The staff really make my kids happy, shout out to my daughter's key worker who really loves my daughter like her own. My daughter will talk about her even when she doesn't see her. She loves her keyworker like a second mum will always give her a hug and a kiss before she leaves. Just overall, Childsplay is the best nursery I have chosen for my kids. They settled straight in and had no issues at all. You always have a warm welcome as soon as you go in in the morning and before you leave. You won't find another nursery like this one. So much love for all the staff and they try there hardest day in day out.

Used this nursery since 2013 and one very apparent thing is how much they do to help kids grow from baby to school, taking one of mine from a shy quiet toddler to an outgoing sassy kid!!

Info on what the kids do on a daily basis is excellent and the food is second to none, and above all this the

nursery accommodate for short notice change in plans, in which I'm sure anyone would agree is a godsend.

The nursery is a cornerstone for my family life and I have never had concerns or doubts, would definitely recommend for all local parents!

My little boy loves coming to Childsplay Private Day Nursery. He has created great bonds with his carers and made some friends. It has brought on his development as he is learning new words actions to nursery rhymes learning to share. He has even learned a few numbers at only 18 months old. I never
have an issue leaving him he is always happy to stay and always shows me a few toys when I return to collect him. Even though my job changed and it is now out of my way to bring him, I will be continuing to keep him at child's play. It is also extremely secure and will go above and beyond to ensure that children are safe.

Both my sons have attended here from a young age and have excellent interaction from the staff. My youngest didn't like to talk before he started going and they have brought him on leaps and bounds he is not even too and he knows his colours and sings along to songs and loves going. My oldest only goes
for breakfast club and after school club now but loves it still so accommodating too well done ladies keep you the hard work

My daughter has been attending Childsplay for just over 2 years, starting in the 0-2 years room (Snowdrops) currently in the 2-3 yrs room (Buttercups) and will be moving up to the pre-school rooms (Sunflowers) next month. She has loved her time there and adores all the staff. Each group have been (and
are) wonderful. We are so grateful to them for taking such good care of her - it was so hard to go back to work and not be constantly with her but they took all the worry away. They really are wonderfully brilliant. She has developed and grown up so much under their guidance. Childsplay rock.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.799)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.799) out of 10 for Childsplay Private Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.767 for Childsplay Private Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (47 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 4.767
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.032 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Childsplay Private Day Nursery is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 47 number of registered child places is 9.4. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.4 = 0.532
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Katie joined Child’s Play back in 2011 as a student before becoming a permanent member of staff in 2015. She now has over 11 years’ worth of experience with us, and she is an asset to our team.

From day one Katie became an integral part of the Child’s play team and you would never have believed that she hadn’t done this job before! Katie just got stuck straight in and she was enthusiastic from the very start.

Katie gives her all in everything that she does, she is fun, charismatic and has a fantastic imagination. Katie sets up the most amazing invitations to play and the baby room is very lucky to have her.

Over the years Katie's confidence has grown with us and we have even seen her have a daughter of her own. We are very proud of Katie and her achievements, and we just could not see Child’s play without her.

Katie currently holds a level 3 in childcare, she has completed the latest safeguarding training and she is also first aid trained.
