Kids Planet Fernhurst Court are an Ofsted 'Outstanding' nursery (Nov 2016) with a passionate and caring staff team who have worked at the nursery for many years. Located in an ideal setting, the nursery is surrounded by woodland area and enjoys huge play spaces, which the children adore. The on-site cook prepares the most delicious meals and really is part of the Kids Planet family. Their rooms updated in Jan 21 have lots of exciting activities for children.

There are lots of things about the nursery that make it fantastic but their favourites are:

A Nursery team many of whom are mums themselves.
Rooms made for children – cosy corners to dens, workshops to messy play.

My child has loved being at nursery for the past two years. All the staff are great and give feedback every day. I could not ask staff to do more. I think a great level of care is taken to ensure my child has had the best start to his educational journey.

My son absolutely loves coming to Fernhurst Nursery and also loves the staff in his room (Toddlers), he now calls some of the staff as his 'best friends'. I switched nurseries for him at the beginning of the pandemic and there have never been any issues, he settled in so well which makes me feel at
ease. All the staff from management, nursery nurses to the admin staff are very friendly and helpful. I also like the variety of meals they provide for the children. I would definitely recommend this nursery!

My 4-year-old son started here a year ago after moving into the area. He was welcomed warmly and settled in quickly. When visiting the nursery it was beautifully decorated and had so many amazing activities for the kids to get dug into. They have a large outdoor area with a play area and slides, my
son loves his time playing outside. The nursery staff are polite and friendly and will always do their best to assist you should you have any queries. My son speaks so nicely of them and has bonded with them well. I couldn’t think of a better nursery for my son. I’m hoping my daughter will attend soon when she is old enough. 100% recommend.

I took my son to this nursery after he would not settle and was showing aggressive behavior at a previous nursery. The staff at the nursery have been amazing. They sat down and looked at him as an individual and met his needs. They are more like a family and he has become such a happy clever little
boy. I cannot thank them enough and will be very sad to see him leave, as he now has the confidence and skills he needs to start his school life. I cannot emphasize enough the care which this nursery and staff have shown thank you so much.

I can not recommend this place enough. The staff has been paramount to my son’s social, physical, and mental development. My son is so happy, his speech is impeccable and he is flourishing so well from being here full time. The staff are so compassionate and really driven to create the best environment
for the children and babies, I can’t thank them enough. When there have been incidents, I have been alerted straight away and strategies were implemented straight away. The staff communication is really good and I know my son is kept safe and involved! The nursery itself is in such a beautiful setting and this allows for a lot of outdoor play and natural education that I really love for my son to participate in. My son has been in the baby's room, currently in the toddlers, and he will be attending pre-school. When I am working, the relief I feel that he is in safe, courteous, and in professional hands is second to none. Thank you to all of you for your dedication.

Both my children attend Fernhurst Court Nursery in Blackburn and have been in the baby's room/toddler room and pre-school room. (Current ages 2&3). Staff are fantastic here, making the children feel at ease when handing over to them. Outdoor provision is amazing and the nursery utilises this space as
much as possible. The manager is very professional, welcoming, and friendly and I can see the nursery is well run. I have recommended this nursery to numerous people now.

My daughter has been going to Fernhurst since being a baby. She is now in her last two months. The progress she has made since attending is highly significant I know she will be ready for school. The staff are fantastic and are always so friendly and welcoming. I feel the nursery is going from strength

The manager was so lovely and welcoming and completely put us at ease due to the current pandemic. The nursery feels like a home from home, and my son has settled in really well. The menus are like a 5-star hotel, my son is keen to tell me what he's tried that day. All the staff are wonderful; we're
