Evergreen Early Years - Ladyewell is set in the semi-rural heart of Fulwood, with close links to both Longridge and Grimsargh. With stunning views of the countryside, it offers beautiful areas for the children to explore and go on walks.

Ladyewell has two rooms for children aged 0-2 with their own specific outdoor space to play. Children aged 2-4 have the use of a large open room and landscaped outdoor play area, with allotment patches, climbing equipment and plenty of space to explore. There are also many other smaller spaces for quiet time, like the snug and the sensory room, to help support children's well being and self regulation. Settings are designed to feel like a home from home, whilst also providing the very best care and education for all children.

Evergreen is family run and prides itself on always striving for excellence in its approach to early years education, which in turn positively influences children's daily lives and prepares them for school and their life ahead.

The team has a strong set of core values and principles that they have developed as the ‘Evergreen Way’ and these are fully embedded and drive all that they do at Evergreen. The main aim always being that Evergreen wants all children to be happy, confident and believe they can achieve their potential.

Evergreen enriches the lives of children to laugh, learn, love and grow.

My daughter loves nursery does lots of messy play that I can't do at home and they pay individual care to each child. Her speech has come on massively over the last month and she waves me goodbye when I drop her off. Clearly a sign that she enjoys it. Special mention to Rachel, Holly and Kirsty who
she can't stop talking about.

My daughter absolutely loves Evergreen and cannot wait to get back there each day. The staff are all so friendly, kind and genuinely care about the children they look after.
My daughter only joined last year but has grown and learnt so much since being there, I cannot thank Everygreen enough for looking
after her!

My little girl comes home after nursery with a big smile on her face, which means the world to me.
My partner normally does the drop offs and pick ups, however she tells me the team are caring and approachable. I am informed about her day at nursery, both through the app and a detailed hand over
at the end of the day. My little girl went to sleep during the day in a pram at home and is now sleeping in the little sleeping pods at nursery, which is fabulous. She has come on so much since starting nursery and is willing to try new experiences and activities. I can't thank Evergreen enough for the care and attention they give to my daughter. Evergreen is so much more than just a nursery, it's a place where she can learn, grow and develop into a sociable, happy and kind little girl.

Literally the best nursery ever. I have 3 and half years old and she has been going to other nurseries since she was 9 months old she hated them all and so did I, never had any updates daily on what she did or eaten, teachers couldn't be asked and possibly mistreated the children as my little one started
to throw up every time she heard that she was going to nursery. At Evergreen she literally jumped for joy every day that she goes, she loves all the teachers and nannies, made some awesome friends and just have some much fun! Not only we get updates every day but talking on picking up time but also by messaging, teachers teach them properly, the pre school skills and are very present through the all day.
Also a shout-out to the Nursery Practitioner who went above and behind to helping me settle my little one at the beginning and help me with some personal matters as well, can't recommend them enough!

My husband and I highly recommend Evergreen nursery to other parents. Our little boy absolutely loves attending three days a week. He learns so much everyday and comes home telling us all about his day (he teaches us things sometimes). The staff are absolutely fantastic, greeting him with a huge smile
and welcoming manor every day. We believe he has come on so much in the past few months and we have nursery to thank for this. Our little boy has been able to gain confidence in his writing, speaking and story telling. We are amazed by him. Thank you to all your lovely staff, every single one of them for being the best people for our little boy. It puts our minds at rest knowing how much fun he is having when we leave him at nursery for the day.

Our son loves it here, since he started in September (age 2) he has really flourished; his confidence has grown so much and he's happier around other children now. The staff are great, each day we get a detailed report of what he's been doing and learning.

What a wonderful setting for my son. He's encouraged and cared for as if he's one of their own. His language has come on leaps and bounds since he started at Evergreen. The outdoor facilities are fantastic and they are currently building a dedicated preschool setting. We wouldn't have him anywhere else.

I moved my daughter here in February and I have nothing but positive things to say about Evergreen! She has settled in really well, made brilliant progress and loves her nursery days. All the staff are so caring, hard-working and professional. They create such a positive and nurturing atmosphere and
our daughter has come on so much. The updates we get at the end of the day and on the app are always really in-depth and informative too. I'm so glad we changed to Evergreen, it really is a wonderful nursery and the staff make it.

I would recommend Evergreen Early Years - Ladyewell to everyone. It is an absolutely fantastic nursery. My son has been attending for the past 6 months and our experience has been nothing but positive.
My son absolutely loves this setting and the staff, he is so happy and well cared for. The activities
the children do each day are great, and just weeks after starting at the nursery I noticed my son came on leaps and bounds in his speech, fine motor skills and much more. He has continued to develop so quickly and comes home from nursery with a new word learnt almost every week! The staff are incredible and care for the children like they are their own. We get regular updates and photos, as well as observations for development. I couldn't be happier sending my child to this nursery. He is upset when it comes to home time!! I would recommend Evergreen to everyone, all the staff are absolutely fantastic.

This nursery has been wonderful for my son, who did not find the transition from home care easy.
There are always so many lovely activities for the children to take part in, including messy play, though somehow the space always seems clean and tidy!
The outside space is unbeatable, bordering a working
farm, so the children can enjoy listening to and watching the vehicles and animals.
All the staff are lovely, hardworking, and passionate about learning. That’s why he loves going!

Since our son started at Evergreen at Laydewell in early 2023 I have had an extremely positive experience, and so has he. He settled very quickly in the beautiful setting which is credit to the environment and the staff at the nursery, who have really taken the time to get to know him and his personality.
We always feel like he comes home with a new skill, word, or ability. The nursery is always innovating and providing new experiences to help the children develop, and whenever I collect my son it’s always such a sensory experience inside. All the staff are lovely, patient, and genuinely care about the children in the nursery. They cook fresh and delicious meals and we enjoy all the photo and development updates received on the app. We are so pleased we chose Evergreen to start our son’s education - I never feel he is just one of many, it’s a small nursery which has time for a personal relationship with each and every child. Thank you Evergreen.

The staff are amazing and are all wonderful and caring people. They always update me at the end of the day and take the time to talk over any worries I have about my daughter's development. Everyone is always warm and welcoming and the environment is beautiful. My daughter has strong bonds with all
the staff and I can see this in her play at home. She is always reenacting what she does at nursery with her dolls and with me and Dad. I can see how much of a positive impact her time there has, because she wants to continue this with us when nursery is finished for the day. Staff know my daughter well. They quickly notice small gaps in her development, particularly around emotions, and don't waste time in planning something to build her skills. They update the app daily, so I always know what my daughter is learning and can build on this at home. Staff deserve lots of recognition for the impact they've had on my daughter and other children in the setting.

My little boy has been attending Evergreen Early Years since September. I was very nervous for him to settle in, after the previous nursery he went to closed, but he has settled in really well and I can see how much he enjoys his time there. He's always talking about his friends and the staff, who are
all are amazing with him. He loves being outdoors and the spacious outdoor space Evergreen offers is amazing, this was one of the reasons I went with this nursery. It also has that 'country' feel that I like about the setting. Lovely, clean nursery with lovely staff. I highly recommend this nursery.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.278)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.278) out of 10 for Evergreen Early Years - Ladyewell is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.953 for Evergreen Early Years - Ladyewell is calculated as follows: ( (102 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 106 Ratings = 4.953
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.325 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Evergreen Early Years - Ladyewell is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 72 number of registered child places is 14.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.4 = 0.625
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I have worked with young children for over 20 years, both in the private sector and as a registered childminder.

I have always had a passion for working with children and, after completing my NWOS in 1994, this is the career path I chose and have followed ever since. I became a manager in 2014 and have managed two nurseries, gaining valuable experience in supporting children, families, and staff.

Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, reading, and spending quality time with my family. I especially love spending time with my two beautiful granddaughters.

I have worked in early years education since qualifying as a teacher in 2006. Before having my son in 2011, I taught in Reception, where I had the privilege of supporting many children as they learned to read and began their writing journey.

I am a mum to three teenage children. After taking some time out when my son was at pre-school, I returned to early years and became part of the management team at several nurseries across the Lancaster and Morecambe area.

Before joining Evergreen, I worked as an inspector in the early years sector, a role I held from 2020. I have also had experience supporting children with additional needs, which continues to be an area I am passionate about.

Outside of work, I enjoy singing and playing music as part of a brass band.
