My daughter has been attending Busy Bees at Brooke Street since she was 5 months old. She has an amazing bond with all staff, particularly her key person and is always happy to go to nursery. She has made leaps of progress in her development since going to nursery and having the Parent Zone app to see
photos of her at nursery and receive daily information about her throughout her nursery day is brilliant. I am very pleased with the level of care and service we receive and couldn't recommend the nursery enough.

My child really enjoys nursery and the staff keep me informed of his day.
I struggle that there is a water station for my 2-year-old to help himself to a drink.
He struggles to have a full drink out of a normal cup and I have only found out he can bring a bottle.
I feel that maybe there should be
set times in the morning and afternoon when they have a drink - this would still be with a drinks station still out.

My daughter has attended the setting since she was 9 months old. I have always been more than happy with her care and the learning opportunities available, her individual needs are always catered for and we are always greeted with a warm welcome. We now use the before and after school service catered
for by the nursery and cannot fault this.

My granddaughter has been going to Busy Bees at Brooke Street for a couple of months. She has settled into the nursery family life very well.
The staff are amazing with her, they meet her individual needs daily.
The activities they do with her are phenomenal. She's always happy when I go and pick
her up full of smiles.
Also when I pick my granddaughter up and they tell me what's she's been doing that day it puts my mind at rest knowing she's at the right nursery. Also when they tell me what she has eaten I'm very happy knowing the food is cooked and prepared on the premises and I know she's getting an amazing choice of food and nutrition also she gets her fruit and vegetables.
When I go to the nursery all the staff are very friendly and happy.
I am so happy overall, I would highly recommend this nursery to families and grandparents they make you feel at ease.

Fantastic nursery, fantastic staff. My daughter has some complex additional needs and I cannot explain how amazing the team have been in adapting to these and ensuring she is included at all times. The look on my baby's face when we pull up to the front of nursery makes my heart melt, she loves every
minute of her time at Brooke Street which means I can go to work and relax knowing she is happy and content. The relationship the staff have with her is so lovely to see, each and everyone of them are fab.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.123)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.123) out of 10 for Busy Bees Brooke Street is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Busy Bees Brooke Street is calculated as follows: ( (96 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.123 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Brooke Street is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 124 number of registered child places is 24.8. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 24.8 = 0.323
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Centre Director

Hello, my name is Danielle and I have worked for Busy Bees for over 15 years starting out as an apprentice gaining both my level 2 and then level 3 qualification in childcare. Following this I progressed in my career within the company moving from room manager to senior and assistant manager over 3 of our Centres whilst also completing my leadership and management qualification with Busy Bees.

In January 2023 I became the Centre Director at Chorley Brooke Street and have since enjoyed working with and leading the long-serving and dedicated staff team we have here. We pride ourselves on our passion and dedication to all our children and families and our curriculum focuses on providing every child with the experiences, environments and care that supports them not just throughout their time with us but as they then begin their journey onto school.

The children are at the heart of everything we do here at Chorley Brooke Street and we can’t wait to show you around our centre.
