My eldest child has been attending for over two years and my youngest is just about to start. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. The staff are very welcoming. Whether it is staff who are currently working with my eldest, ones from his previous rooms or new staff, they all acknowledge him
by name and take the time to interact with my youngest.
My eldest has had special dietary requirements due to allergies and the nursery are exceedingly accommodating of this, asking for guidance and advice where appropriate and sharing their knowledge too, particularly the chef.
They ensure where possible that my son is not excluded from any activity, as a result of his allergies, altering cookery tasks to ensure he can taste the results of his efforts.
Even though each child has a dedicated key worker, the staff all have a good understanding of the daily events and each child's needs and I find that I can speak to any of them about how my son is doing and any concerns I may have.

Great nursery. Staff very caring and will comfort my daughter if upset on arrival and throughout the day. When unwell the staff were excellent at responding to high temps etc until I came out of work to take her home.
Management team and all the staff very approachable. Well done xx

My grandson attends full time and everyday he comes away beaming having had a fun filled day with all his friends and teachers.
Management are attentive and caring towards any specific needs and the chef creates some lovely well balanced meals.

My daughter has been at Busy Bees at Preston Hospital for almost a year now. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are amazing: they always seem as excited to see my little girl as she is to see them. My daughter races into nursery every day and I have no guilt leaving her there as I know
she is happy to go.


During her settling in period when she was a bit tearful, they handled us with great care and understanding. They do loads of art and her clothes are never ruined! They take care of her belongings. Nappies are included in the price so I don't have to worry about providing them. She loves the food and she's developed using cutlery really early which I believe is because they encourage this at the nursery. Tricky issues are handled with tact and discretion. The management are unbelievably flexible, helpful and organised. This is the 4th nursery I have used (as I have 2 elder kids) and it is the place that I have been happiest with. There is just a lovely, happy vibe as soon as you walk through the door.

Fabulous setting - both of my children have attended since they were 13 months old. Both settle extremely quickly, clearly enjoy their time there and look forward to going back. Staff are attentive to their needs, especially with medical issues/allergies.

Throughout the December period, I was really impressed with the number of activities and fun experiences my child was involved in. My son has brought home pictures, crafts, and images of the fun he had had in nursery. He told me about each day and the fun times he experienced with his friends and teachers.
He continues to enjoy his full-time place in nursery and cannot wait to move up to pre-school in September.
The teachers went out of their way, each day and week over Christmas to make each child feel special, we also loved our Christmas gift from Santa. Thank you.

My daughter has settled very well into nursery. The managers and staff are lovely and always have smiles on their faces. They are very attentive and always give a report at the end of a session.
There are always a variety of toys and activities set out which help the children to develop and be happy.
The
food is very good and is cooked fresh daily.
This is a brilliant nursery and I'm glad that my daughter goes here.

I am very pleased with the nursery at the hospital. It's great because it is on site and if I need to get to the nursery quickly for any reason then I'm only a 2 minute walk away.
The staff are lovely and my little boy has formed a real bond with quite a few of the staff members who have looked after
him. He looks forward to going and he's always comforted straight away by the staff if he's ever having an off day or a little bit clingy when I'm dropping him off.
I like that the staff inform you of what they have done during their day whilst at nursery and what and how much they've eaten at meal times.
I'm looking forward to seeing my little boy's development with them as he gets bigger and moves up to the older classes.

Busy Bees at Royal Preston Hospital has been our childcare provider for over 5 years, first with our son and now with our daughter who both started at the nursery when they were just 9 months old. We have always been very pleased with the enthusiasm, friendliness and professionalism of all the staff
and have never had any issues with the nursery. My husband and I are confident that our children are being cared for and nurtured constantly when they are at nursery and we never worry that they are unsafe or at any risk at all. Both our children have developed hugely since attending the nursery, both in their drawing and writing but also in their social development too. Aside from the important basics such as safety and cleanliness standards we have always been very pleased with the healthy meals they provide for the children and the little extras like Mothers Day cards and birthday cards that they send home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Busy Bees Preston to anyone.

Every single member of staff from management to the chef, to the room staff are friendly and helpful. They listen to parent wishes and concerns and nothing is too much trouble. They know each individual child and each child is cared for and treated as an individual. The staff are a credit to this Busy
Bees Nursery.
I have and will continue to recommend this nursery to other parents/carers as they fulfil every parent's wishes and the children are their main priority. The children are happy and safe and well, and my daughter asks every weekend to go to nursery.

I came with my sister to view the nursery as I was also looking for my own daughter. The nursery had brilliant resources and lovely staff and such a shame it's to far for my to bring my own daughter as I would have loved to send her with her cousin as Busy Bees was excellent.

My grandson attends nursery full time, since the age of 8 months. I pick him up daily, and he is always happy and socialising when I arrive and he rarely wants to come home. He speaks highly of the teachers and runs into nursery each day. He plays so well at home, and his development has come on leaps
and bounds since January. I speak highly of the nursery to all friends and family and would encourage anyone to attend :)

My child is just about to start preschool and started going to Busy Bees at Preston Hospital when he was 9 months old. From the beginning, the staff have always kept me fully informed of his progress and activities at the nursery and made me feel at ease leaving him. This was really important to me
as a new mum going back to work full time. My son loves going to nursery and telling me what he's been up to that day. He is always surprising me with what he has learnt.

My son has been attending Busy Bees since January this year, he attends full time and loves coming into Nursery. Each member of staff goes out of their way each morning and night to make my son feel welcome and special. I connect is updated each night so I know everything my son has been up to, as well
as seeing beautiful pictures of what he has been creating in the day. He is a very caring child and I feel that has a lot to do with the key staff in his room. We receive pictures each day to show his creativity within the room and the staff displays A3 posters of fun filled activities that go on each day in nursery. Management are attentive and proactive and are always welcoming. I would always promote this nursery to others, and encourage friends to bring their children here.

I am extremely happy with the standard of care that my child has received throughout the one and a half years he has been attended the nursery.
My child has been encouraged and guided in his development, creatively and academically in ways that I would never have thought of. Since joining the nursery
my child has become a lot more socially confident and now enjoys playing in groups of children and
is happy to be left with any of the members of staff.
During his time in the nursery various requests have been made by myself for extra input of care either for medical or personal care reasons and these have always been met by the nursery staff as required.
Also, the menu at the nursery has given my child a healthy varied diet that he seems to enjoy.

Job Title: Centre Director

My name is Sarah Welburn I am the centre director at Busy Bees Royal Preston Hospital.


I have been in childcare since finishing college in 2009. I have a foundation degree in Childcare and Education and have progressed my career within Busy Bees to also achieve a business diploma. I am dedicated to ensuring every child has the best start in life. I am passionate about training and personal development and strive to provide the best environment for children and their families in our centre.


I have two daughters who keep me very busy whilst I am not in our centre, going on adventures and exploring the world around us.


I look forward to welcoming you into our centre.
