Our child really enjoys going to nursery and has developed well since starting. The staff are lovely, supportive and genuinely caring, and you can tell they really want the best for the children in their care. They're always positive and proactive, and we really like that they focus on developing the whole child - supporting their confidence, independence and social skills as well as their learning and development.

They're also really good at acknowledging and celebrating special days throughout the year, which is lovely and makes the nursery feel even more like a little community.

Communication via email can sometimes be a little slow, but whenever we speak to the team over the phone or in person, they are fantastic - always helpful, approachable and happy to listen.

Overall, we're really happy with the nursery. We feel completely comfortable knowing our child is really well looked after, and it has a lovely home-from-home feel, which is really important to us.

I attended the graduation of the pre-school before leaving for school. It was a wonderful afternoon. He has been so happy at Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery. All the staff are excellent, caring & nothing is too much trouble. Thank you all for the last 4 years.

My child absolutely loves Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery. He really likes the staff who work there and both my husband and I do too. They have great communication, are friendly, and really do care for the children. The nursery provide high quality food and really do try to cater for each child when it comes to food, sleep and development. I would 100% recommend Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery and would not feel comfortable with taking my son anywhere else. Thank you to the team.

Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery is an amazing place! The care and attention our children get are second to none. We’re extremely happy with everything the nursery offers our children and are lucky to have such a wonderful nursery available to us in the area. We currently have our eldest two boys at the nursery, who are 4 and 3 and will also be sending our baby girl to the nursery in May. The staff are amazing; they go the extra mile to look after us as a family. The children always say how much they enjoy nursery, and our boys love the show and tell sessions! The extra work that goes on behind the scenes to bring special occasions to life such as Christmas time is unbelievable; the staff, children and parents of the children are all one big family. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic nursery. My older teenagers attended this nursery, my toddler now attends and some of the fantastic staff who taught my older two are still at the nursery. Well run, always welcoming. Wonderful tasty food menu. Could not fault this nursery.

My children have loved this room and the carers who have helped them reach their full potential in a kind, considerate and caring way. My 3-year-old has made some lovely friends and thoroughly enjoys his days at Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery. The carers have a good balance between being fun and firm, expecting good manners and behaviour from the children. The outdoor explorers is amazing, my son loves being able to learn in the outdoors and the big room garden is fantastic for him. He learns soo much in nursery, when learning numbers, letters and colours it’s all achieved in a fun way, he loves the arts and crafts and has a lot of fun with his friends. The carers are very loving if he is ever feeling sad and they’re full of joy to laugh with him when he’s happy. I couldn’t recommend the nursery and staff enough.

The nursery has been fantastic for my daughter - the staff are the real shining stars; they approach everything with such enthusiasm and warmth that my daughter would be skipping into nursery every day. There is also a real variety of activities that are done on a daily basis, and the development in my daughter's speech, language and overall mannerisms has been great. The nursery is bright and cheerful and a real learning environment - also, the fact they pride themselves on being a small, independent day nursery is evident - the fact they are smaller than some other nurseries definitely enables my daughter to build some real relationships with the staff, but also with the parents too.

Having been through lockdown, missing key socialisation and not having been in a “nursery” environment before, he was very shy and fretful of being left alone without me there.

I was extremely nervous about him starting but knew it would be for the best in order to prepare him for school.

After a couple of sessions, the transformation was incredible, he was asking to do more days, and when out and about, he was no longer the child clinging to me - but excited and confident to mix with others!

The most comforting part of this development was the fondness in which he spoke of his room leader - speaking of her on a daily basis and excited to see her again, demonstrating the utter trust he has so quickly developed for someone outside of our family.

Most mornings start with “is it preschool today?” - a true testament to the quality of care at Sir Leslie Martin.

She is now in the toddler room and throughly enjoying it. She took a little bit to adapt but I think it was just the change. The girls were fantastic with settling her in and every time I pick her up she is smiling from ear to ear saying what a fun day she has had. Any issues that have ever arisen have been dealt with promptly and efficiently. I have complete faith in everyone that works there and I know my daughter is in great hands.

My daughter has been at the nursery since the age of 14 months and in the short time she has been there, I can honestly say she has flourished! Naturally, we were anxious about her starting nursery after spending so much time as a lockdown baby but the smaller class size has suited her so well allowing her to rapidly develop in confidence and social skills. The staff are warm, friendly and very approachable. I would highly recommend the nursery to other parents.

I am extremely happy with the level of care my baby has received since he was 11-months of age. All the staff are amazing, and he developed incredibly well in the past 5-months. He really enjoys the 3-days a week he stays at Sir Leslie’s, and he’s always willing to stay there in the morning without even crying. Don’t hesitate if you want to choose this nursery for your child. Amazing people, amazing activities, and genuinely nice and emphatic staff. Thank you all.

Lovely setting. Our daughter has come on significantly in her development since starting. The staff are wonderful and take excellent care to make sure the children are safe, stimulated and have fun. I would recommend it to my friends.

Our daughter has attended Sir Leslie Martin Day Nursery twice, first when she was very young and latterly in the year and a half prior to her starting primary school. We chose to return to the nursery due to their high level of personal care and attention to the children in the nursery. From both the management and care staff they are very friendly, and the children always look to be having fun. All staff are great, and we would have no hesitation in strongly recommending the nursery to anyone with children in the area.

We have had to take our two out of nursery for a period due to having to shield, the nursery has always accommodated our requirements. The kids have sometimes found it hard to settle in due to the time out of nursery but the staff have always made a special effort to help their transition back to regular attendance.

We recently started our daughter in the baby room at the nursery, and in doing so, transitioned our 3-year-old into the preschool. We have been so delighted with the move, and thanks to the amazing, happy and helpful staff, the transition and new start have been seamless. My son is like a new boy after starting; he loves it there so much, and his confidence has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are all so welcoming and really supported us, going out of their way to help with any concerns and settling in. We noticed how truly passionate and caring the staff are treating each child uniquely and really getting to know them rather than them being lost in the numbers. It's a true home from home feel. We're so happy we made the change and would really recommend the nursery. Additionally, I'm always amazed by the quality and variety of the food, and how they make the most of the fantastic outdoor space they have.

I could not recommend Sir Leslie Martin enough! The staff are all wonderful, and my little one loves going to nursery. They are caring and support their development to accommodate each child. They create an inclusive and happy environment for the children to develop. Thank you for looking after my little one.
