My child attended this setting from the age of two until she left to go to school. She was very happy at the nursery and made lovely relationships with the staff and children there. Since she has been attending school I have had several comments from her new teacher about how well prepared she was when she started school. She had developed really great phonics skills so has taken to reading very quickly and adapted to the routines of school as the teacher in 'Little School' at the Old Vicarage had worked really hard to get the children ready for this.
My daughter is very happy at this nursery and talks about the children and staff a lot. They have been instrumental in helping me with some difficult toddler times and I feel they are a great source of information and influence. They have fresh ideas all the time and I am glad that we made the decision to travel a bit further to have such a good outdoor space.
Staff within the setting are always friendly and polite, they go out of their way to acknowledge both parents and children on arrival and when leaving. Our little man loves attending nursery and has grown in confidence since starting. He comes home shattered after a busy day of learning.
Shame as it could be a great nursery. However staff turnover is high, changes are made without proper consultation and children are labelled by some members of staff.
Management is poor at responding to complaints and do not handle things correctly and according to the procedure. Communication is also poor.
I wish I had removed my child sooner.
Looks great on paper the reality is somewhat different, unfortunately!
My son seems to have settled so quickly at The Old Vicarage Day Nursery, I put this down to the lovely caring ladies who work in the Rainbow room. It is a supportive and nurturing environment where I am sure he is going to thrive.
Moved here from another nursery and my son has settled in so well and has been made to feel like he has always been here. Management is so friendly. My son loves to play outside and this is really encouraged, he loves Forest School.
Both my children attend The Old Vicarage. They both happily go into their rooms each morning and talk about their teachers and friends often at home. Our eldest transitioned over at three-years-old and settled very quickly. A lovely, family setting.
All of my children have been to the nursery and really flourished in the environment.
Our son loves the nursery and genuinely looks forward to coming each day. They have a little school to prep kids for school, forest school for outdoor activities and a varied activity schedule.
I think it’s outstanding personally, and would recommend it to anyone who wants the best for their children.
Our littlest has done well at the nursery and they have really worked to ensure they built on confidence and character, not losing sight of the fact each child is different and needs different focus.
My son has started school this September but still talks about the nursery fondly. He had a wonderful time at the Old Vicarage nursery and made a lot of friends. My daughter now goes one day a week and she really enjoys it and I’m hoping she will have a wonderful time as her brother did.
My daughter has been attending The Old Vicarage since January of 2016 and really loves her nursery. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the facilities at the nursery are wonderful allowing each child to develop at their own pace and actively encourages their individual interests. The nursery setting is ideal with wonderful outside space and in a quiet village location where the children can go for walks/buggy rides and explore the world around them. Special events are always celebrated whilst also allowing the children to learn about different cultures and traditions. I would highly recommend this nursery to all parents as our own experience has been exceptional.
Both of my children have attended The Old Vicarage over the last 2 years and both really enjoyed their time there. The staff are always helpful and make the facility a safe environment for children to develop in.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. The Old Vicarage.
He is coming on leaps and bounds and loves learning with his friends and the staff. He is so proud of everything he does at nursery and the staff are genuinely proud of him too. They are so easy to get along with and made any worries I had about him settling after the issues at his last nursery disappear instantly. He loves telling me what he has done each day with staff and his friends. He has the opportunity to do many activities during the day either as part of a group or free play and gets the chance to spend a lot of time outside in the large outdoor area (weather permitting). So glad I chose to move him to this nursery. Couldn’t recommend them more!
Thank you for your lovely feedback.
