About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 51 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 51 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 22.4 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

Our 3 year old daughter loves going to nursery here. Since the change in ownership late last year there has been a lot of investment in the nursery with new toys, computer and a bright new spacious baby room. Staff are happy, friendly, always busy interacting with the children and the children love them all. When I go to collect my daughter the staff are very informative of what the children have been doing which allows us to talk more about it in the car on the way home.
They make the most of the large outdoor area whatever the weather. The addition of a mud kitchen outdoors has been greatly welcomed by my daughter who often comes home filthy from making ‘mint chocolate chip cakes.’
Around once a month they hold event such as Den building for father’s day, breakfast mornings, family fun days to name a few. These events are allows fun and a great way of finding out even more of what my daughter likes to do at nursery as she drags me around proudly showing me everything.
Thanks for the review.

The staff are all lovely - and give great feedback about what the children have been doing all day, and how they slept and eaten etc. It is amazing the variety of food that they eat at nursery - they have the usual, but also feta salad, moussaka etc. there are loads of messy activities and the mud kitchen. Outdoor space is fab, mature garden area, playground area and cricket pitch for nature walks - they go out in all weather!
Our son is going to school in Sept and the nursery has bent over backwards to prepare him - both educationally and socially - and liaising with the school.
Cheapest in Knutsford , opens at 7.30am as standard (no extra fee). Loads of parking too for pick up/drop off.
Thanks for the review.
As my little girl is about to leave nursery to embark on her school journey, I can safely say that Mere Day Nursery is a wonderful setting and my little girl has been extremely happy there. The staff is a wonderful and caring team, gelling together so well and genuinely working towards with the...
I have enjoyed taking part in the many workshops and events organised by the nursery and I have felt valued and listened to as a parent . All in all, I recommend Mere Day Nursery wholeheartedly.
The facilities are wonderful, the outdoor space and equipment is fantastic, with plenty of resources catered for the children's abilities and interests. My little girl has loved making use of this great facility and has thrived at the nursery.

My husband and I have been extremely impressed with his settling in process and are very happy with the care being provided by the centre.
The manager, my son's key worker and the rest of the team have been focused on finding out about my son and getting to know him as a little person. My husband and I have both had the opportunity to spend time at the nursery and get to know all of the lovely staff.
The level of knowledge of my son's key worker is a cut above our experience with nurseries in the past and we feel he is being given a lot of personal time and attention.
We are very chuffed with our experience so far and would recommend to people thinking of enrolling their kids.

Our twins have attended The Mere Nursery for the past two years and we can genuinely say they love it here! The team have brought a fresh approach, some much needed investment and a fabulous balance between learning and play. We've been very impressed, our twins have flourished and we would strongly recommend to other parents of young children. Meals are healthy and nutritious, the staff are excellent and the environment feels safe and caring.

My son has been attending Mere Day Nursery since he just turned one and in that time we have seen it change hands twice. I can honestly say that since the manager and the team took over the nursery it has improved no end. My son has always been happy in the setting otherwise I wouldn't have kept him there, but the changes that the Village Group have put in place have been fantastic. The children are very well looked after and have a great structure for the day. Parents are well informed of what their children have been up to each day and the food is great, quite often its better than what I give him at home! All the toys are clean and well laid out, and I particularly like that they seem to spend so much time outside. My son always comes home tired, happy and with filthy clothes; the sign of a great day for a three year old! I would definitely recommend Mere Day Nursery, the facilities are great, the staff are fantastic and most importantly my son is very happy there.
Thanks Vicky for this lovely review.

The Mere welcomed my daughter to their nursery in April this year, the welcome we received from all the staff was more than I expected and it didn't take her long to settle right in as a result of such a warm welcome. The facilities at the nursery are well equipped for children and I feel that my daughter's development since attending Mere has flourished. I am so pleased with the progress she is making in her development and would highly recommend the Mere to any parents looking for childcare. I am truly happy that I have found exactly what I would expect from a nursery for my child to attend but most importantly she loves it there too. Thankyou all for your hard work, care and continued commitment with the children's important stages of their child development, keep up the excellent work.
Thank you for the lovely review Nicola.

On the journey to nursery the other day my 2 year old daughter excitedly called out the names of all the children and staff that she was going to say hello to that morning - just one of the indications that she loves going to Mere nursery and treats it like an extended family. The staff are kind and very professional, the outdoor play area is far bigger and greener than many nurseries, and the cook's food is delicious (tried it myself!)
Thanks Rebecca for this lovely review.

This is a fantastic nursery. Both my daughters are very happy there. The staff are warm, enthusiastic and organised! They have a great relationship with the children and I was amazed at how much my daughter's key worker knew about her when I met her to discuss progress. The nursery is one large space divided into smaller areas according to age group, which means that if you have more than one child your children do see each other during the day, which was a real comfort to me when my younger daughter started. At Mere there is lots of space for the children to have fun without feeling like they're lost in a sea of other children. Last week my elder daughter came home bursting with pride, carrying a box of scones she'd made with Mere's cook. It was lovely that she'd been able to do an activity all on her own and that the cook had taken the time to do that with her. I know this is such an awful cliche but it really does seem like they treat each child as an individual. Highly recommended!

We moved house and our little boy had to move nursery. We chose Mere was the best one and easiest to get to. We heard it had been taken over and most times that's a good thing. In this case it was. The new owner is lovely. She showed us around and said I'm doing this and I'm doing that and all fantastic things she was doing to improve on the nursery. When our little boy started he settled straight in. At his old nursery he used to cry when we dropped him off and ran at us when we picked him up. At Mere he loves it and waves goodbye to us and keeps playing when we collect him. The food is all homemade and looks fabulous. The staff are so friendly and he always makes lovely things to take home. One great thing is they spend time outside. We are so happy he is there and wouldn't think of moving him.
I think Mere nursery has improved after being taken over last year. My son has grown up so much and is learning so much more.

There are lots of activities for the children. They will never be bored. The food is always very healthy and they eat a lot of fruit and veg too.
I would recommend Mere Nursery. I am looking forward to seeing the new baby room. The designs look great.

Hi my name is Stacy and I have a BA Hons in Childhood Studies. I have 11 year’s experience working in early years. I enjoy using my knowledge and experience to support and mentor new practitioners to provide high quality childcare and exciting new opportunities. When I am not at nursery, I am usually spending time with my wife and our family, taking our dog Buddy for a walk in the forest or getting cosy at home with a book.

Mary has a wealth of early years experience and is very hands-on, she enjoys supporting children to reach their full potential.
