Since joining Mere Day Nursery our son settled in immediately thanks to the warmth, and individual attention from the staff who made him feel safe and secure in this totally new environment.
Creative play plus activities within his group have been crucial to his early year's development.
The positive
and progressive attitude of all the staff is exceptional, helping to make our little boy confident and assured.
His time at Mere Nursery is filled with fun, laughter and learning, he has made many new friends which in turn teaches the children how to share. He is always happy to go to nursery and join in the activities with his friends.
On a more practical note, the meals, which are prepared on site, are healthy and nutritious, while being seated around a table promotes his social skills and interaction with other children.
Outside nursery hours Mere hold creative events throughout the year where parents are encouraged to attend, this is something we greatly enjoy doing as a family.

The Mere nursery is an outstanding nursery with an excellent staff who are caring and supportive of my son's development. Every week I see him develop physically and intellectually as well as enjoy a growing number of games and activities. I am confident that his time at The Mere has a positive impact!

Lovely setting, lots of space. Staff are flexible and responsive and the management team equally so. Access is difficult presently if you are approaching the nursery from the south, but that is set to change with the new road opening later this month.

Our son has been attending Mere Day Nursery for over 5 months now having moved from a different nursery which closed down. Our biggest regret is that we didn't send him to Mere Day Nursery from day one. He settled really quickly into the Nursery which was thanks in part to help from the very professional
staff during the transition. His development has been progressing rapidly since attending as has his social skills. We are often amazed by the new skills he demonstrates when he comes home. He generally goes straight into the action when he is dropped off and occasionally continues to play when we come to pick him up (hopefully this isn't his review of our parenting). He enjoys nursery and as a family, we all enjoy the extra family activities that happen on a regular basis. Very highly recommended.

Great nursery with lovely staff and very flexible. All the staff get to know your child well and are always updating parents on your child's progress. They are very keen to make sure your child settles in well and will arrange stay and play sessions as part of the settling in process. We looked at a
few nurseries but we chose Mere Day Nursery as they were the only nursery that actually interacted with our child and the baby room is a nice friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Since our son started at Mere Day Nursery his development has excelled. We are very happy with the care he receives and the new exciting things he gets to try. The staff genuinely care and take the time to learn about the children in order to adapt daily activities to suit their learning. We really
enjoy being able to see what our son has been up to on the nursery app. The menu regularly has a good variety of new foods for the children to try. The management are very approachable, open and honest, answering queries as swiftly as possible. Having viewed several nurseries before choosing the Mere Day Nursery we are confident we made the best choice.

The Mere Nursery is excellent. I viewed a number of local nurseries and the mere really stood out. From the moment I walked in, staff were very friendly. My daughter was assigned a key worker who has been excellent. All staff are friendly and show a genuine interest in the children. My daughter gets
to participate in a wide variety of activities that are both educational and fun.

The food is excellent and the staff are always willing to accommodate requests. The rooms are one and spacious and the outdoor space is fantastic. The opening hours (7.30-6.00) mean I can get to work on time. The staff are always smiling and interested in my daughter and how she is every morning and after the weekend. The give a really good account of the day and she has developed so much in the past few months.

I have 2 children at the Mere and they both love it. My 1-year-old boy particularly loves the access to the outdoor space which the practitioners use brilliantly to help him develop. The nursery are great at tapping into my children's interests and helping them learn through play. They also do a much
better job than me at getting them to eat a huge variety of new foods. When I drop my children off I know they are in safe hands, happy and cared for.

My husband and I are so happy that we have chosen The Mere Nursery. Our little girl (11months) loves going in every morning. She gets so excited when she recognises the drive in and is so desperate to get out and play that she really wriggles and shouts in her car seat. It makes it so much easier to
leave her knowing she is so happy with the setting and the people who work there. The staff are fantastic with her and obviously have a genuine affection for the children.
I can't speak highly enough of the communication either. The use of online journals is a brilliant way to share what the children are doing, and knowing that the staff take the time to read and respond to the things I share makes my input feel valued. The regular parent involvement events that are held in Nursery are a fantastic idea, and always look so lovely.

Our son started Mere Nursery at the age of 12 weeks. As one of the youngest babies, the staff at the nursery were fantastic at easing our baby into the nursery environment. They provide us with a daily log of what he has been up to and they have uploaded some pictures showing us what he has been up
to on the online tapestry system. Nappies and milk are provided and they offer continued support to ensure that our son is as happy as he can be.

As a working mum, I appreciate the fact that I can email the Nursery Manager at any time with any queries or questions and get a response, quickly and efficiently. The nursery is also very flexible, being able to accommodate our requirements for additional ad-hoc days whenever they can.

We are looking forward to our son being able to utilise the lovely grounds outside.

Thank you.

I would very much like to say a big thank you to The Mere Nursery team for the warmth and standard of care my child has received since he first joined. The whole team works collaboratively and keep the excitement alive for the children. My son has received so many inspirational learning techniques through
various outsourced personal teams, of which many nurseries don't offer as an inclusive package.
All of the team are professional, warm, friendly and understanding of my needs as well as my son and it has made being a working mum so much easier. Knowing that my child is safe, cared for and really happy has been a weight off my mind. I cannot recommend this wonderful team enough - Thank you!

I'd like to say a huge thank you to The Mere Nursery team. We have recently relocated from Hong Kong and I was really nervous for my son and concerned with how he would adapt to the change. The team were fantastic, friendly and professional and ensured he had a great summer learning and playing. I
can't recommend the nursery enough! Space is wonderful and a great place for children to explore and grow.

My daughter thoroughly enjoys her days at nursery and the variety of activities that are put together. Staff are excellent, being positive, friendly and very responsive. I feel they know my daughter very well and are able to target appropriate activities at her that match her needs and her interests. The
menus are varied and manage to get a good balance between the tried and tested and encouraging the children to try new things. The outside play areas are spacious and every opportunity is taken to enjoy them. I would recommend the nursery fully and am grateful to the very hardworking staff for all they do.

Our 3 year old daughter loves going to nursery here. Since the change in ownership late last year there has been a lot of investment in the nursery with new toys, computer and a bright new spacious baby room. Staff are happy, friendly, always busy interacting with the children and the children love
them all. When I go to collect my daughter the staff are very informative of what the children have been doing which allows us to talk more about it in the car on the way home.

They make the most of the large outdoor area whatever the weather. The addition of a mud kitchen outdoors has been greatly welcomed by my daughter who often comes home filthy from making ‘mint chocolate chip cakes.’

Around once a month they hold event such as Den building for father’s day, breakfast mornings, family fun days to name a few. These events are allows fun and a great way of finding out even more of what my daughter likes to do at nursery as she drags me around proudly showing me everything.

Our kids have been here for 2.5 years/1 year and are extremely happy there. Daughter was initially upset and cried every time she was left - but staff were very helpful and caring and just whisked her her up, gave her cuddles and helped me manage to get to work without feeling too guilty!

The staff

are all lovely - and give great feedback about what the children have been doing all day, and how they slept and eaten etc. It is amazing the variety of food that they eat at nursery - they have the usual, but also feta salad, moussaka etc. there are loads of messy activities and the mud kitchen. Outdoor space is fab, mature garden area, playground area and cricket pitch for nature walks - they go out in all weather!

Our son is going to school in Sept and the nursery has bent over backwards to prepare him - both educationally and socially - and liaising with the school.

Cheapest in Knutsford , opens at 7.30am as standard (no extra fee). Loads of parking too for pick up/drop off.

As my little girl is about to leave nursery to embark on her school journey, I can safely say that Mere Day Nursery is a wonderful setting and my little girl has been extremely happy there. The staff is a wonderful and caring team, gelling together so well and genuinely working towards with the child's
best interest and complementing each other in what they offer to the children. The meals offered are great and my little girl often mentions the yummy cooking!
I have enjoyed taking part in the many workshops and events organised by the nursery and I have felt valued and listened to as a parent . All in all, I recommend Mere Day Nursery wholeheartedly.
The facilities are wonderful, the outdoor space and equipment is fantastic, with plenty of resources catered for the children's abilities and interests. My little girl has loved making use of this great facility and has thrived at the nursery.

My son has started with Mere day nursery in the last couple of weeks.

My husband and I have been extremely impressed with his settling in process and are very happy with the care being provided by the centre.

The manager, my son's key worker and the rest of the team have been focused on finding

out about my son and getting to know him as a little person. My husband and I have both had the opportunity to spend time at the nursery and get to know all of the lovely staff.

The level of knowledge of my son's key worker is a cut above our experience with nurseries in the past and we feel he is being given a lot of personal time and attention.

We are very chuffed with our experience so far and would recommend to people thinking of enrolling their kids.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.178)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.178) out of 10 for The Mere Nature Kindergarten is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.940 for The Mere Nature Kindergarten is calculated as follows: ( (79 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.94
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.238 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Mere Nature Kindergarten is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 number of registered child places is 13. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 13 = 0.538
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
