Kids Planet Widnes was rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted in October 2018 and is in a purposely-converted Victorian building which makes for a charming and spacious environment for the practice of childcare and early years learning. The facility includes a sensory room, secure outdoor play with rubber soft surfaces.

Staff are fully qualified and up-to-date with all aspects of the EYFS, taking pride to be approachable and supporting freedom of play and learning throughout all the age groups. Good health is also supported by a freshly prepared food menu.

Couldn't ask for more from a nursery. The staff have all been amazing and have bought my son out of his shell. He has learnt so much and has made so many friends. They have also always catered for his dietary needs. Thank you all so much!

I can not fault the staff, always warm and welcoming. It's also so good to see familiar faces after 12 years of last having a child here. Any problems and issues you have are resolved with no trouble at all. There is plenty of different activities to bring on our child's development.

Thank you so much for all the love, care and learning you have given my daughter. She has absolutely enjoyed every minute of nursery and preschool. All of the fun, cool activities but mostly the people. Shout out to all the staff but mostly my daughter's second Mummy/fairy godmother! You've given her

Both my children enjoy coming to nursery. Since moving into preschool, my little girl has been so happy. She comes home and talks to me about all of the activities she has done and she tells me about all of her lovely teachers and friends. I have really seen my little girl's confidence develop over
the last few months. All of the staff give my little girl lots of care and attention, and I feel that she is in safe hands. Thank you for everything you do for both my little girls - it is much appreciated.

I can not fault the nursery at all. My child has attended here since she was 10 months old and starts school this year. They have given her so much love and happiness over the last 5 years that I'm forever grateful. She's the person she is today because of the staff. They go above and beyond and have

My children started at Kids Planet at the beginning of the year and they have enjoyed every minute of it they have made amazing friends and both myself and my children have been had to feel welcome.
There is nothing to small/big that the staff will not help with, each and everyone of them are lovely.

We have been using the nursery for around 9 months now and it's truly wonderful.
The staff have all been great since day one and it's evident when our son shows clear affection for them.
The most important thing for us other than safety obviously is the development and it's absolutely clear he has
been given ample opportunity through games, activities and socialising to develop. He has come on leaps and bounds since joining the nursery and I'd highly recommend this place.
Couldn't comment on value for money as we've not compared with anywhere else but assuming costs are similar elsewhere then, of course, it's good - albeit I'm sure all parents would want a little cheaper childcare.
Little clarity on scores - 4 stars for food and resources:
- Food seems pretty good but sometimes appears like a little more veg would be great.
- Resources; they have lots there just a little used in terms of appearance but that I suppose should be expected in a room full of babies.

Excellent nursery, we've already noticed how it's benefiting our child with their development. Our first child went to a different nursery in Widnes and we thought that was good, the difference already after only 4 months is huge. The app is fantastic in keeping us informed of progress each day and
a development plan is scoped out to suit your child to assist with their learning. Would very much recommend to anyone considering a nursery.

Coming to the end of our time at this school,

I would recommend Kids Planet second to none.
They have always been so friendly and kind,
They have developed my child's body and mind.
They have taught him to

They've taught him so many quite funny songs.

Since starting at nursery my child has developed really well. You can tell her attendance has helped her to grow in confidence and her speech has come on well. The staff are really approachable and will support with any development needs eg: potty training. It is really good to see her regular assessments

I have built a relationship with this nursery over the past 6 years with both my children starting there at 8/9 months old. They are absolutely fantastic with the children, the children absolutely adore the staff and their time there and the managers are some of the most personable and accommodating

We have sent our son to Kids Planet from the time he was around 9 months old until yesterday when he left pre school ahead of joining his first school. Overall we couldn't be happier with Kids Planet for all the care and support they have given our son. Coping as best they could through Covid they have
always been able to deliver a fantastic level of service. From the varied meals to the little day trips here and there that they go on it all aids in creating a fantastic experience for the child. We are so sad to see our son leave behind some amazing people but we know he goes to his next school a happy and well developed child as a result of the great work that the Kids Planet team have done. I couldn't recommend them enough and would trust them with my own or family children at anytime.

Great supportive staff.

Plenty of experience to be passed on.
Fast moving staff for sudden changes in routines really helping parents out. All staff need a massive pay rise for coping so well with tiny humans. Heroes, the lot of them.

My first child came to this nursery and I sent my second without a moments hesitation. All of the staff are attentive, kind and knowledgeable and we love it here! I can’t recommend Kids Planet enough. My granddaughter gets very upset when I drop her off at nursery as she knows I’m not staying with her and it causes her real anxiety. However on our initial trial visits, she really enjoyed her time and attached herself to a member of staff who is absolutely brilliant
with her and with whom she feels safe, and as a result, she follows him everywhere. It’s really important to my granddaughter to feel safe until she is over her separation anxiety, so the fact that the staff acknowledge this and try to accommodate this is really helping my granddaughter to settle into nursery life. All of the staff are lovely and very considerate towards the individual needs of the children, which is very reassuring. Although my granddaughter gets upset when I leave, she always tells me what a lovely time she’s had and what she’s been doing during the day and that she likes it. Thank you to all the staff for helping my granddaughter to develop and grow, you do a great job.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Originally qualifying as a Primary School teacher, I spent several years in Primary Schools before transitioning into the Early Years sector. Over time, I have taken on a variety of roles within Early Years settings, gaining valuable experience and deepening my understanding of early childhood development. I took over as Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Widnes in March 2023. I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a Master’s degree in Disability Studies, and a National Professional Qualification in Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL). In September, I will begin studying toward a Doctorate in Education (EdD), further deepening my expertise and commitment to driving excellence within Early Years.
