Hartford Old School House Day Nursery

We can't wait to start our journey with you all.

My son has been attending this nursery for the past 3 months and has loved his time here so far. We have never had him cry when we have dropped him off he always lunges to go to the staff for a cuddle each morning. He has settled so nicely here which is a testament to how welcome and at home he feels with the staff and his surroundings. He loves his food here which I have to be honest when I visit the nursery it always smells amazing from the chef preparing it. The feedback, app and communication are lovely and even though my eldest son has never attended this nursery they always greet him and ask him about his classes etc. Lovely warm environment would definitely recommend.

They are the most kind and caring nursery! Every time I come in they make my little girl feel so special and welcome. So professional and approachable, amazing facilities and even better staff. I wouldn’t take my daughter anywhere else and I also didn’t go and look at any other nurseries as I knew that this was the one. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since being at Hartford, nothing is ever too much and the updates you get throughout the day make you know they are safe and well cared for.

My little one is so excited to go into nursery every day. Every single staff member is friendly and will always go the extra mile to show compassion and care to the children. I wouldn’t trust anyone else!

I love this nursery and all the beautiful staff that work there! After experiencing a terrible event at my son's previous nursery that left him in hospital I was so scared about sending him to a new nursery but knew he needed it for his development. But after visiting the nursery and seeing how homely, warm and friendly it is and chatting with the nursery manager who went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and make my son transition into this nursery as painless as possible I was sure it was the right nursery. 6 months on and my son loves it there, he happily skips into the nursery and is met by such lovely warm staff who he adores, and they adore him, he comes home and tells me what a good day he’s had and all the fun stuff he’s done, I genuinely couldn’t ask for more! I’m so happy I found this nursery, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the manager and her amazing team for what they have done for me and my little boy, it really is home from home and I believe the best nursery.

Our two boys attend the after-school club at the nursery. They really enjoy their time there. They are well looked after, fed very well, and given lots of activities to do and the staff and other children are great with the boys. Would highly recommended!

All staff have played a huge part in both our children’s lives. Highly recommend!

Old School House is a home-from-home nursery setting. Staff are warm and friendly and have such amazing bonds with the children. My little girl loves going into preschool each day and has a really close relationship with her key worker. She’s attended the setting since she was 14 months old and has loved all the rooms she’s been in. The outdoor space is also brilliant and the managers are so approachable and accommodating.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 9 months old and from the minute she started we have felt at ease. The staff who work there are all so professional, friendly and approachable. The facilities are exceptional and everywhere feels very safe for children. Communication is fantastic and the use of the online app system to keep me updated about her day helps to put my mind at ease. The food is amazing and my daughter enjoys every meal that she is given (all homemade!). My daughter loves going to nursery and the progress I have seen in her since she started has been huge.

A great nursery.

Excellent. My little girl loves nursery. It has such a lovely family feel, every staff member knows us when we drop off and pick up. The updates throughout the day are brilliant, really puts our minds at ease.

Catering is brilliant with an onsite cook who makes everything fresh.

We couldn’t have asked for a better start in life for our daughter and we will be forever grateful to the staff and management.

They provide varied and stimulating activities for the children and always have their best interests at the centre of their practices. All three of my children have loved their time at Old School House over the past six years!

Excellent nursery, my daughters absolutely love their nursery days. I particularly like that a lot of the events, eg Christmas party are at the end of the nursery day so working parents don’t miss out.

From day one my daughter has run into nursery with a smile on her face and not looked back. The staff are supportive, nurturing and very experienced, offering a homely, safe and comfortable experience. Food is all cooked fresh in-house and sounds delicious. The range of activities available each day is imaginative and varied, and the nursery engages external personnel to offer additional activities too. We also use the out-of-school provision which is absolutely fantastic!

In my opinion, this setting is truly exceptional and I’m so grateful my daughter is able to flourish and develop in a safe and playful environment.

An outstanding nursery with very caring staff. They do plenty of activities to keep the children entertained and genuinely bond with the children to make it a nice experience for them. We're very pleased that we sent our daughter here.
