Their extensive play resources excite and inspire children to learn together or independently. With music, dance, art, design, cooking, sport and imaginative play offered, every child can learn naturally through enjoyment.
The curriculum is delivered by qualified early years’ teachers following the EYFS framework, ensuring that learning is fun, rewarding and effective, and a highly qualified team use creative approaches indoors and out to develop key skills such as numeracy, literacy, or fine motor skills which works towards school readiness.
Children are individually supported to reach their full potential, with activities tailored to their stage and learning style, nurturing confidence and happiness. Parents are closely involved with parent sessions, weekly menus, news and achievements and daily updates from their child’s key worker via the Tapestry app.
The children’s food is prepared using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and menus are approved by a registered dietitian.

My daughter has very recently started attending nursery here and is in the Owl room. Every morning we are greeted by smiley welcoming faces and my daughter has a cuddle with her key worker upon arrival as she is always reluctant to walk into her room. Staff take the time to ask if there’s anything they need to know about my daughter during drop off which I find very attentive. Occasionally I’ll ring the nursery during the day and I am always reassured that she is happy and participating in the day to day learning and activities provided. At the end of the day when I go to collect my daughter, I always walk in to find her extremely happy and engaged in activities or conversations with her peers and staff members.
The nursery have been great in catering to my daughter's dietary needs. She has always loved yoga and participates in this every Thursday. I receive detailed observations twice a month and feedback at the end of the day is very informative. It’s just a really lovely nursery.

My son has been attending Elmscot Hale Day Nursery since he was 9 months old, he loves going and we're delighted with his progress since attending and we trust the team 100% with his care. His dedicated key worker greets us every morning with a smile and has formed a brilliant genuine bond with him. He has different activities and classes planned and they're always special events. There is a large play area outside also which includes their own animals which live at the nursery. I'm jealous of the menu he gets served from the on-site kitchen, it always smells lovely when I walk past. We're provided a summary sheet every time we pick him up and we also get in-depth reports through the online parent system which includes a written piece by his key worker with photos of what our son has been up to. There are also development checks against how he is progressing.
I would, without a doubt, recommend this nursery and we're very happy with our choice, as is our son!

Our son loves coming to Hale Day Nursery. The staff are so lovely and welcoming and they always give me detailed updates on how my son's day has been. They always make me feel welcome and my son is always happy when I take him in/pick him up.

Our son loves coming to Hale Day Nursery. The staff are so lovely and welcoming and they always give me detailed updates on how my son's day has been. They always make me feel welcome and my son is always happy when I take him in/pick him up. I love seeing photos and videos of him enjoying himself and playing with all of the different toys and taking part in activities. The range of activities they do is fantastic, it’s always something new! His development has really progressed and we couldn’t be happier with how confident he is becoming.
I, especially, am so pleased with the bond our son has with his nursery nurses. I can tell that they love having him too.

We are so thrilled with the progress and happiness of our son at Hale Day Nursery. We did a lot of research around nurseries, reading numerous Ofsted reports and were immediately impressed with the nursery even before even viewing.

We are so thrilled with the progress and happiness of our son at Hale Day Nursery. We did a lot of research around nurseries, reading numerous Ofsted reports and were immediately impressed with the nursery even before even viewing. Our little boy has been at nursery now since September, he has settled so quickly and is showing his true personality (which is a sign he is comfortable and happy, the most important thing to us). The management are outstanding and always friendly. The staff in his room are so kind-hearted, warm and fun. They listen to us every day when we arrive to get our little boy and praise him and his behaviour each day. They are all so positive! Thank you! They are consistently there and I am impressed by this as the staff are clearly happy at work. The feedback we receive is in line with EYFS standards and is consistent with whoever produces the reports.
We really love the nursery and so does our son, the magnificent outside space most of all.

Both of my daughters have attended Hale Day nursery from babies right through to the pre-school room, Owls. I can't recommend the nursery highly enough. Both of my girls have thrived in the setting and have been so happy there. It's such a comfort knowing that your children are in such great hands....

Both of my girls have thrived in the setting and have been so happy there. It's such a comfort knowing that your children are in such great hands. Everything from the amazing level of care, the lovely meals they have, the amazing outdoor settings, activities and all that they learn, it's all of such a high standard, which is consistent throughout all rooms. All of the staff are wonderful and it's clear that their work is a vocation. They really go above and beyond to help the children thrive and grow. But it's their warmth and care that they give the children that really stands out.

We love Hale Day Nursery and highly recommend it. Our son was there from the age of 12 months until he started school in September. Our daughter, who is nearly three, has also been at the nursery since the age of 12 months. The setting is lovely, all the rooms are really welcoming with loads of age-appropriate toys and activities. The garden is a wonderful space and the children spend a lot of time outside which was important to us. We really like the staff, many of whom have worked at the nursery for some time. They really care about the children and know them well. They also build good relationships with parents. The meals are also excellent, made by on-site cooks.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. The ladies in all the rooms are wonderful and so caring. My daughter has been here since about 8 months old and moved through the rooms, now she is 3 years old.
The staff really care about the children and make such efforts to ensure they feel safe and loved each day. My little one has food allergies and she is in safe hands with the fresh food here, they make her specials meals to suit. Amazing place!

All of the nursery staff are friendly, welcoming and excellent with our son. He has been so happy and settled at the nursery and enjoys all the different daily activities they organise. The outside space is lovely and well used in all weathers which is great because my little boy loves the outdoors. My Child has been at nursery for the past 2 years and is now in the Owl room, the room before joining School. All the staff are welcoming, pleasant, helpful and always make time to give feedback at the end of the day. The outdoor space is large which is perfect for my little boy as he loves to be outdoors! All the rooms on the ground floor have constant access to the outdoors all day. My son now attends Forest school sessions as he is now in the Owl room, which again he really loves.
The nursery holds lots of parents events including Mother's Day, Father's Day celebrations and parents evenings which are really nice to attend. I can't recommend the nursery highly enough.

Hale Day Nursery is a wonderful nursery. My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 11 months old and she is now 4. She leaves in August 2017 to start school in September.
The staff in her current room, owls, are amazing! The staff have such a great attitudes towards the children and it is clear to see how much they care about the children and their development. I think they are truly wonderful and my daughter will miss them terribly.
