Hale Day Nursery & Nursery School

An amazing nursery, with caring, supportive, excellent key workers who give everything to the kids. Time, energy, patience and focus. Our children are thriving at this nursery and they love it. Never an issue being dropped off and we know they're treated with great care, respect as little humans and attention.

My twin sons have been attending Hale Day Nursery since June 2025 and we have had such a positive experience. The grounds of the nursery have been recently renovated and provide a lovely environment for children to explore and thrive. The staff are so caring and as a twin mum I was anxious about negotiating drop off and pick up particularly before my sons were able to walk, Rhia has always been so understanding and helpful with this which is something I have appreciated so much. Updates from the nursery are provided regularly throughout the day and I love receiving the photos showing what my sons have been doing each day. I would highly recommend Hale Day and am so thankful how they have made the transition to starting nursery so smooth.

Everyone has been so attentive and accommodating to our child's needs during the settling sessions. As parents, we are assured that our child gets well looked after at Hale Day. Really appreciate it.

As many parents are, we were nervous about our child attending nursery for the first time, especially considering they were very shy and were often visibly uncomfortable being around people they didn't know. After just a few weeks, they had built a great relationship with their key worker and now 6 months later they walk around the house saying their key workers name and dragging around their nursery bag wanting to go. All of the staff are very friendly and our child has clearly developed well in all areas, but especially socially. They absolutely love going to nursery and get excited every time. The nursery have also been great in catering for our child's dietary requirements. The facilities and location are great, with lots of outside space and they're always taking part in a range of activities that appear both engaging and educational. I would highly recommend Hale Day Nursery to anyone seeking attentive, professional and stress-free childcare.

Our son loves nursery so much. We are always so impressed with all the activities and outings that are available for the children. They have such fantastic variety and even the garden set up is such a plus as a lot of nurseries don't have that much outdoor space!

The staff at Hale Day Nursery have been incredibly accommodating of our son and the many questions we've had during his first months at the nursery. He has struggled at times with not wanting to leave parents for the day but the staff have been great at building up his confidence in spending the day away from home. Regular updates help to give an insight into the trips and activities they all get up to.

My daughter adores the team at Hale Day Nursery and talks about her key worker on the days she isn't there! She settled in so quickly and happily naps there. She's always cheerful at drop off and excited to go. The food is also amazing - so fresh, balanced and healthy!

All staff are very nice and friendly. They have a clear curriculum for the children which obviously involves lots of play. The teachers are knowledgeable and have a variety of experience. The different classes all the way from baby to preschool have been great. They have a lovely outdoor area and have extra activities for the children to do. I would like to see more information and photos of the meals provided, something that has been asked for but not currently done.

Hale Day Nursery has been amazing for my daughter. She started at the beginning of September and has taken some time to settle in but throughout this time the staff and in particular her key worker, has been fantastic. They have been very kind, caring and loving with her and very supportive to me. It is not easy having a child that is taking time to settle into nursery however having the staff being reassuring but honest has really helped. I have really appreciated them taking my daughter in their arms and giving her a cuddle if she is upset at drop off and my daughter's key worker always hands over at pick up time and gives a good amount of information. The updates on tapestry are great to see too. Overall I would highly recommend the nursery.

My little boy has been here a couple of months now in the baby room, he has settled so well and is always so happy to be handed over to the staff in the room. The activities are always exciting and stimulating and the variety of healthy meals is great also.

Great experience with this nursery. The staff in Hedgehogs are brilliant. Our daughter has really warmed to the staff who have gone to great lengths to cater for her needs. They are clearly very knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. Their attention to detail is always appreciated and this is reflected in the quality of daily handover about how the day has been spent. It is a pleasure to drop off/pick up each time and I'm convinced our little one really enjoys her time there. On the occasion that she has not been herself, I felt the staff have dealt with it appropriately and called me to give updates as required. Very reassuring.

In terms of constructive comments, I think more needs to be communicated to parents in terms of tailgating as I've experienced it a few times and when grandparents pick our daughter up they haven't been asked for the password on the first occasion.

We love this nursery.

My daughter has loved going to this nursery, she is so happy there and the staff are all amazing. The range of activities they design and deliver on a daily basis is brilliant and it is a real testament to all the hard work of the staff that they create such a great environment for the children to grow and learn. I also have to say a massive thank you to the kitchen team as the food and menus they create each day are great. My daughter gets a wide variety of things to eat that are nutritious and as she says really yummy.

My daughter has had a lovely experience at Hale Day Nursery, she will be very sad to leave in September. She has made some great friends and the staff have been brilliant, she always comes out with a big smile on her face. Her key person has been wonderful, she is really engaging, patient and teaches her new skills really effectively. I enjoy reading about the weekly activities on the app and looking at the pictures too, it is so lovely seeing what she's been doing. They always do such fun activities with them as well as learning vital skills to set them up for big school. Very impressed and thank you for the experience.

My son is very happy and settled at the nursery. All the staff are great, they communicate well and consider the needs of the children they work with. I have been impressed by the daytime activities and creativity of the team in Bears. It is lovely that the children get to do additional activities such as dancing and yoga and the children share photos at circle time. The nursery makes an effort to involve parents and I have attended some of the parent and child days at the nursery which have been lovely. Thank you.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. The staff have been so nurturing, caring and really taken the time to help my son settle in. The communication has been wonderful and extremely reassuring for a worried parent. The day to day activities are great and really cater to the children’s individual interests. I've been extremely impressed with the extracurricular activities offered, the outdoor space and amount of time spent outdoors and the amazing food they serve! Highly recommended!

Staff have helped my daughter settle in from 10 months old. I felt like they really cared and listened and worked with her individual quirks rather than mould her to conform to a schedule. I really appreciated that and felt like she was in the best of hands from day one. The settling-in sessions also really helped.

Lovely warm nursery, I never worry about whether my child will be well looked after and happy, in fact, he usually doesn't want to come home! Very low staff turnover so get to know all the staff and all staff know the children even if they are in different rooms plus children have consistency in their key workers. Really good planning and activities based on children's interests, food is also healthy and cooked fresh every day from local suppliers. Just an all-around wonderful nurturing nursery that I never hesitate to recommend. This is my second child to attend.
