My son has attended Busy Bees since 6 months old, I had been looking at numerous nurseries around the area and the moment I walked into Busy Bees I knew it was the one! I had so much anxiety returning to work but the staff made me feel at ease during the whole process. I cannot thank the manager and
the team enough for the care and professionalism and a big thank you to the chef for filling his tummy with delicious food. Two and a half years later and he's still loving every session, he runs up to nursery doors each time and it's such a nice feeling to see that my son enjoys it so much. I can highly recommend Busy Bees to families, I trust the girls so much with my son.

This nursery has been excellent from the first day I had a look around. My daughter has settled well here. Initially, she was unsure but the staff took their time and really made the effort with her. The staff are amazing! I can see how much she has developed in the four months she has been there. Would
definitely recommend it!

This is a clean and fully equipped kindergarten. I am quite satisfied sending my children here. Especially here, there is a very friendly manager. Although childcare costs are quite high, they are well worth the cost.

My daughter has been going to Busy Bees from 8 months old. As a first-time mum and going back to work full time, I was nervous and anxious about leaving my little girl. The nursery staff have always been very friendly and so welcoming. They made me feel at ease from the first day she went.
The nursery
itself is always clean, organised and the staff should be proud of the work they do every day. My daughter is now 17 months old and she smiles and runs straight in when she gets to the nursery gate which is reassuring. She always has such a fun and enjoyable day! More importantly, she has come on leaps and bounds. The updates are key to any parent and Busy Bees always ensures they ring parents if needed and the app helps you track how your baby is that day. Also, the picture updates are adorable! Overall I couldn't thank all the staff, they are all a credit to the nursery.

Both my LGs have attended this nursery. My youngest is still there and will attend preschool in the next 12 months or so. I honestly can’t fault it. The setup, the communication and most importantly the staff are wonderful. Both my girls talk about the wonderful days they had/have at nursery. It has
a real family feel with the same nursery staff looking after both of mine with a 5 year age gap. The building itself is purpose built not converted and has such a nice feel. The food is first class. I am a working mum that works out of town so also really benefit from the 6.30pm close time.

My little girl has been going to Busy Bees for a few years now and she loves it. The staff always seem very friendly and helpful. My child has never had any problems since she's been going and the building is very secure which is a must in childcare. Highly recommended.

My son has been coming to the nursery since he was 1 and he's always enjoyed the activities on offer and he has always interacted well with the other children and the staff. At age 2 Health workers picked up on my son being behind on communication so the nursery worked hard with myself and authorities
to offer him extra help. I think the nursery staff have helped him a lot more than the authorities to get his confidence out and improve his skills. He loves the football every week and has his friends now who he talks about. I feel that he is ready for primary school because of the time spent at nursery, so I am very happy with his progress and the nursery, in general, is a very clean, warm, welcoming place to come to. The staff are very friendly to both myself, my family and my son.

This nursery is amazing. All the staff are welcoming and refreshing. My child has been here for 3 years now and without the help, guidance and development techniques my son wouldn't be the independent young man he is now. Thank you Busy Bees for being a massive part of my son's early years!

Fantastic nursery, my child has learned so much since he started 2 years ago, the staff are amazing and so friendly, I recommend this nursery to all my friends and family. The staff do a lot of activities with the children and have also started a football session one day a week that my child absolutely
loves. They have also started to use an app where you can keep up to date on your child's meals and they also do a child observation where they upload photos of your child that only you can see.

My niece has attended Busy Bees for approximately 2 years. When I collect her she is always happy and the staff are always friendly and approachable. The nursery is clean and the resources on offer are exceptional. In addition to this, I love that the nursery has its own chef and all the meals are
freshly prepared on site.

My son started this nursery when he was 9 months old, I felt very confident in the staff when he first started to attend, they were welcoming and had great knowledge. My son is now nearly 3 years old and looks forward to his nursery days, naming all the staff and telling me he is going to play with
all his friends. I love how much my son has grown and developed in the years he has been at this nursery and couldn’t fault this nursery at all. My son has grown into a very confident independent little boy and that is down to the dedication of the staff that have looked after him.
I would defiantly recommend this nursery to anyone who asks.

On dropping off my goddaughter for the first time, I have to say how impressed I was with the nursery. The staff were extremely professional, kind and caring. The room I dropped her off in had loads of activities set out ready for the day and she was very excited to get started.

Busy Bees at Wigan, Scholes is a nursery I would recommend to everyone I know. The staff are excellent.
There is a welcoming feeling as you walk through the door which allows myself as a parent to trust the staff with my child.
My child’s motor skills and confidence have grown throughout her time
at Busy Bees and more recently she has been coming home singing songs and rhymes and also counting very fluently which is brilliant.
I am very happy with the service provided and my child loves attending nursery.

The staff are very friendly. The nursery has just had a new manager take over. I have noticed that there seems to be new staff a lot. It would be better for the children and reassurance for the parents that the staff are permanent so both children and parents can get to know them. The nursery is very
clean, child friendly and is very welcoming. I feel very comfortable letting my child stay there while I'm at work.

Current Review Score: 8.2 (8.216)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.216) out of 10 for Busy Bees Wigan, Scholes is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.4 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.806 for Busy Bees Wigan, Scholes is calculated as follows: ( (29 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.806
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.41 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Wigan, Scholes is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 94 number of registered child places is 18.8. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 18.8 = 0.16
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
