Ambrose Day Nursery Reviews (15)
Over all time Ambrose Day Nursery has 15 reviews.
Our son started aged 3 in the September of 2020. At first, he was cautious but the team at Ambrose Day Nursery made him feel at home. As the nursery is only 15 at a time the staff really get to know all of the kids and can support them on a much more individual level. Our son now can't wait for his days at Nursery and talks about his teachers and friends a lot when he's not there even. Great nursery.
My 4-year-old daughter loves going to nursery here at Ambrose. She has made so many friends and wishes she could go every day. The staff are so friendly and kind, you always feel welcomed when you arrive. They are a very supportive second family for my daughter and me and I can’t thank them enough for all they have done for us. Really have given my daughter the best start in life.
Both of my children have attended Ambrose Nursery. They are 2 completely different characters yet Ambrose have met their individual needs. Not only are they fully supportive of the child, but the family too. My children have always been happy to attend and I have had no doubts when dropping them off that they will have a good day and I am leaving them in more than capable hands.
My daughter has been going to the nursery for nearly 2 years. From the moment we looked around, we all knew Ambrose was the right nursery for her. She skips in every morning, which she has done from the start, and comes home with stories of all the wonderful activities she has done. The care and attention given to the children is brilliant. The personal touch the staff give reminds you that your child is in safe hands. The progress my daughter has made with her speech and language, self-care, and independence is fantastic. We could not recommend this nursery enough.
Being a lockdown baby, my child hadn't met many people so we were nervous about her starting nursery. Ambrose were fantastic with settling in and spent so much time speaking to me beforehand that I felt like I knew them, it felt right. It's so good knowing she is happy, safe, and cared for whilst I'm at work. I see pictures on the private Facebook page and can call anytime. The pickup/drop-off service is a godsend. She adores the staff and happily goes to them it's lovely seeing the relationships develop. How quickly she has settled is a testament to how much the staff care for the children. In the short time she's been at Ambrose she's been to the park and spent lots of time outdoors which was really important to us. Everyone is happy, down-to-earth, trustworthy, and reliable. I’m certain that being in such a positive environment will help her to develop into a confident, self-assured little girl. I really believe Ambrose is the best nursery around, I'd wholeheartedly recommend.
I cannot recommend enough how incredible the nursery is, my now 2 years old loves to go, he really enjoys his days and is so well looked after and cared for. From the initial contact during a pandemic to increasing his days at the nursery, every single member of the nursery team is just fabulous. Nothing is too much trouble and he can't wait to go. From varied menus to a daily diary, to even getting a phone call when there's a bump as well as a verbal handover at the end of the day it is absolutely the best nursery setting we have come across and wish we had requested a place for our older child.
My daughter first attended this nursery when she was 2 through to her starting primary school. This was after her attending 2 other nurseries previous to this as she just wasn't settling. I was recommended Ambrose by a friend as it was a smaller setting and more like a home from home. My daughter soon settled in and came on leaps and bounds and I feel this was because of the smaller number of children than your average nursery. The owners, the manager and all nursery nurses were fantastic and made me feel at ease and more importantly, my daughter loved it. The place and the people. I would highly recommend this nursery.
What was most important to me is a nursery where my children would feel safe and loved and that’s definitely what Ambrose provides.
Outdoor area isn’t huge but it’s well set out with lots of activities and they go for walks and make sure the children get out into the fresh air all year. You clearly see the children enjoy lots of fun, build great friendships, fun learning and home-cooked food daily, it’s like one big extended family. I highly recommend if you are looking for a fantastic family feel nursery, go have a look you will be so glad you did!
My child has been at Ambrose since September 18, from the offset she was welcomed in with open arms into her new extended family, they made sure she was happy and settled in (she’s never even cried when being left there she feels that safe, happy, and settled there). She has excelled so much since being there and is very clever for her age thanks to their support with her development. She absolutely loves going, all of the staff are friendly, warm, and approachable. If we have another baby they will also definitely go to Ambrose.
Unfortunately, when our little girl was at nursery she had a bit of an accident and the professionalism and love both management and the nursery ladies showed in ensuring she was safe and also managed appropriately was outstanding. We could not fault them one bit!
Our little boy has come on leaps and bounds which can only be down to the time and effort that the girls put in. I was so anxious in regards to development as our little boy was premature but they spend lots of time explaining the milestone/targets and it means a lot.
The food is varied and I find their little daily diaries very helpful to see what your child has been up too and also what they have eaten.... nappies etc.
Fantastic nursery.
My daughter went here in 2010 and when my son was born in 2017 I knew there was nowhere else I wanted him to go but Ambrose.
Because it is small they really know the children inside out, my son loves his key worker looking after him, his little face lights up when he sees her.
I know he is looked after so well as it’s like a big family.
When you leave your child in someone else’s care you need to feel happy, you need to see your child happy, you need to see your child being well looked after and having lots of fun and learning so much as they grow up. You definitely get this if your child goes here. I would recommend to anyone.
Always attentive to my daughter's needs, with her having allergies I was apprehensive about her going to nursery but all the staff at Ambrose Day Nursery have been brilliant with her and they keep me up to date on her progress, very happy with them.
Both my children have always loved going to nursery, always talk about the staff, other children and their day. The staff are amazing at keeping us informed of the children's progress and I can honestly say that within a matter of weeks, I could see how much the children had developed in themselves and they still amaze me now when they come home and do something I haven't seen before.
The nursery is only small but personally I prefer it as the children, in my opinion, get more attention and focus as opposed to being in a large nursery. I would recommend that anyone looking for a nursery pays Ambrose a visit to see for themselves how happy the children are and how knowledgeable the staff are.
She loved it that much I kept her in when she started preschool.
Lovely staff and couldn't think of a better place too have sent her.
My daughter loves her time here. It's is a lovely, friendly environment. I would not send my daughter to any other nursery. The staff are absolutely amazing and they are always doing something fun with kids, they also have a fab food menu for them to choose from! Definitely the best nursery around!
