Woodlands Day Nursery & Nursery School

Woodlands is a fantastic nursery. Our daughter started in 2017 and has grown in confidence significantly, largely thanks to the amazing care provided by the team. The nursery provides a homely feel and has a fantastic outdoor space, which the children spend a significant amount of time in exploring, playing and having fun. In addition to the fantastic care provided on a daily basis, the team also put on a variety of trips and events from forest school to workshops for parents. Would highly recommend.

My daughter started at Woodlands nursery in September 2016 when she was just 10 months old. In the last 3 years, she has learned so much and has taken part in so many creative activities and has grown in confidence and made fantastic friends. My son started attending in February 2019 and he loves it too. The staff are very welcoming and the management team listens to what parents have to say and takes their feedback on board. Their outdoor play area is amazing and the children are spoiled with that space. I would highly recommend Woodlands Day Nursery to anyone looking for nurseries for their children.

Staff are amazing. They are very supportive and approachable. They are also qualified and experienced. It is nice to see how my child looks forward to go to nursery every day and enjoys his day learning and playing with his friends. The environment at Woodlands encourages learning and development. Children also have activities like ‘forest school’, yoga, zoo lab. The nursery offers a variety of healthy food which is cooked fresh every day (using high-quality ingredients). There are other Ofsted outstanding nurseries much closer to where I live (meaning much less traffic morning and afternoon) but I still chose Woodlands because of the exceptional standards.

We moved our daughter to Woodlands in September. We can’t thank the staff enough for the outstanding care they have given her since she has arrived. I was very anxious about moving nurseries as she struggles in new situations, however, I haven’t regretted our decision once. The staff have completely changed our nursey experience and I’m very grateful for the support they have given our daughter and myself since her move.

Over a year ago I moved my son to Woodlands and straight into the preschool class. It was a big decision to move him from his previous nursery but I haven't questioned my decision even once. A year on and he is in his final year before he starts primary school and he loves going to Woodlands - on the weekends and days he's not due to attend, he asks to go. All the staff at Woodlands are simply excellent at what they do and have the most lovely relationship with the kids, whereby they focus on developing independence and other key skills which will help them as they develop. The children drive the direction each of their days take them, some of the activities they participate in are simply fantastic. They use every opportunity they can to take the children outdoors, it's such a lovely setting. I would recommend Woodlands as a nursery to any new parent - I'll be sad when my son's time in such a kind, caring and fun, learning environment comes to an end in August next year.

The whole atmosphere of the nursery is fab, from the friendly staff to the nutritional meals, I really wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Woodlands to anyone.

This is such a wonderful nursery, my child absolutely loved the setting in each room and the progress he made over the years was excellent. I can’t recommend the nursery enough the staff are very attentive, kind, caring, go out of their way above and beyond. Even the food choices for the children is excellent. Every day was packed with different activities, different ways of learning. This nursery and all of the staff certainly made the transition to school a breeze.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Woodlands, the whole staff team genuinely care and go above and beyond daily to provide the best care for the children. My little one started reception in September and was so well prepared he is thriving. From forest school sessions to activities planned for his interests, he thoroughly enjoyed his time at Woodlands and has many happy memories and photographs we will forever cherish. Thank you team Woodlands.

My son has just started at Woodlands and over the last month, he is flourishing with the support from the team. His tapestry is full of activities all tailored to his interests and he has already formed a lovely relationship with his key worker. The staff at the setting from the first settle put my mind at ease and really welcomed my little boy. He loves the outdoors so the garden and all the outdoor learning that takes place is just perfect for him, combined with the menus that are amazing, where he gets such a wide variety of yummy food. I wish I could eat the meals.

My daughter is very happy here, staff are well trained and children learn through play. The activities they do are fantastic. The food is locally sourced and of nutritional value.

My son had such an amazing time at Woodlands. The staff in otters room really got him school ready and he went to school, this September, with some solid foundations for us to build on. Thanks to the team who really got to know his interests and needs. They tailored his learning to really engage him each week. The app is amazing, I loved the insight I got every week and being able to see all his adventures, while I worked. Thank you.

My son has delayed speech. He has been there two days and he is coming out with new words every day, more confidence and very happy. This is a brilliant nursery with cameras inside and outside, security with parental fingerprint systems so I know my son is safe. I would recommend highly.

My son started at Woodlands in January 2017 and the staff were amazing with him. He settled quickly and has already made some great bonds with the team.

In only 3 months, his language and understanding have come on leaps and bounds and he's even learning 'baby signing' which he uses daily, along with words, to communicate his needs. As a full time working mum, I feel happy and safe in the knowledge that my son is in the best place and more importantly, that he's happy.

The team are always very helpful and supportive. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since attending nursery. She is showing signs of progressing above her years. Cannot recommend enough.

A wonderful nursery with fabulous staff who truly care about the children at nursery. My child has specific dietary requirements and the nursery staff have been incredibly supportive, working closely with us to ensure our needs were met. I really cannot recommend this nursery enough!!
