Woodlands Day Nursery & Nursery School

Very happy parents!

My son went to nursery at 2 and a half years old and settled in approximately just over a month. I saw him progress little by little and become more and more happy in the nursery. I am very happy about the nursery because firstly I think they have very good management and teamwork, for example, their carers system that not only the main carer gets familiar with my son but other carers also do. Secondly, the cleanliness of the nursery is great. I expected my son would get sick very often for his first few months but actually, he is not. The carers look after him really well. I am very thankful for the team and I am so glad that I chose Woodlands Day Nursery & Nursery School for my son.

Two of my grandchildren have attended this nursery. One of them is currently. Both were happy, looked forward to attending and learnt so much from their time spent there. All the staff are fantastic. I feel they are enthusiastic and provide the children with stimulation and encouragement. They are all caring and considerate and my grandchildren have spoken about them at home. There are lots of activities going on within the nursery for the children to engage in, both indoor and outdoors. It's spotlessly clean and healthy nutritious food is provided also. All the staff are absolutely amazing including the manager who is very helpful with the behind-the-scenes running of the place. Nothing is too small to approach any of the staff with.

We have been so happy with the nursery provision at Woodlands Day Nursery & Nursery School since our little boy started. It's such a hard thing to entrust your baby into someone else's care and we have been so impressed with the staff at Woodlands Day Nursery & Nursery School. Everyone got to know our little one and his interests and personality. They take the time to inform us about his day at pick up and he has progressed loads in terms of eating (the food is great!), sleeping and speaking since joining! He clearly loves nursery and all of the staff! We love it and I would recommend Woodlands Day Nursery without reservation!

My daughter has been going to this nursery for over a year now. I am extremely happy with the care she receives. The staff are all so caring and friendly. My child absolutely loves it and she always goes in happy and excited for the day. The progress I've seen in my daughter since she started has been excellent. I am so pleased with the care and service from Woodlands. Within weeks, my son has developed good relationships with the staff. The manager and staff are very caring, friendly and supportive. I would recommend it to any future parents. My child eagerly runs to the door for the staff to let him in each morning and leaves with a huge smile on his face. He is flourishing under their guidance, especially his key worker. Communication with staff before and after every session helps us feel very supported. Furthermore, communication from the nursery (as a whole) is frequent and informative. I have been impressed with the activities that the children do and there are plenty of opportunities for them to play in the fantastic garden area. You’re doing a fab job Woodlands!

The outdoor area is beautiful and the kids get taken outside a lot. It's a great nursery all around!

The staff are really supportive, I love the fact the food is home-cooked and healthy too.

Our daughter has been going to this nursery for over 2 years now. We are extremely happy with the care she receives. The staff are all so caring and thoughtful and are always looking to introduce new activities that are tailored to our daughter’s interests. The staff were particularly brilliant (and continue to be) in their handling of the ever-changing circumstances around Covid.

My son had never been to any setting before and settled really well at Woodlands, thanks to the lovely, friendly staff and manager. He looks forward to his days there and talks about what he has done and the staff all the time at home. He has been telling me about his trips to forest school that he has recently enjoyed them. I would definitely recommend Woodlands. My little boy thoroughly enjoys his days there.

My son has settled well in the preschool room and enjoys all the fantastic activities on offer. He has become very ‘clingy’ during lockdown but wakes every morning asking to go to nursery, even on weekends. I love the online observations so I can check on his progress and show grandparents. Excellent.

Finding the right nursery for your child is never an easy task, but from the moment we saw Woodlands, we knew it was the place for our daughter. Me and my husband were both anxious about our daughter starting nursery. She was extremely shy and anxious around new people, but within a few sessions, she was like a different child. Now she happily runs into nursery with open arms. It is so lovely to see how happy and content she is at Woodlands and the staff are all so lovely, approachable and so caring. They all take the time to know your child completely and know their interests and find activities that they know they will love. I love sitting down after she has been to nursery and looking at her online journal to see what she has been doing and talking to her about it. She has made friends, not only with the children, but the staff too. My daughter's confidence has come on leaps and bounds and I couldn’t be any happier, knowing I am leaving my child in very capable hands.

This is the second time that we have used Woodlands. Our first child had an amazing experience there and what is so lovely, is that all those things that we loved about Woodlands seven years ago are still there and more. The setting itself is beautiful, clean and really well equipped and the staff are amazing. The management go above and beyond to ensure that both parents and children are happy and reassured. I always recommend it to my friends, as I know that they will be as impressed as I am.

Both of my boys have attended Woodlands. Our eldest is now in school but still talks about the nursery, the staff and the friends he made there. Our youngest started Woodlands at 9 months old and has grown into a very happy and sociable boy, who literally runs through the door with a huge smile on his face. The setting itself feels warm and welcoming, where all staff know every child and their families. The garden is a wonderful place, both my boys love this space. Activities inside are reflected outside too so the learning continues as well as the fun. The staff are very professional and friendly. They are a huge support to families, especially in this last difficult year. The team work so hard and always encourage parents to get involved in nursery life. Woodlands often hold events to give parents the opportunity to see their children having fun within the setting, offering Mother's and Father's Day parties and Christmas events. My boys have so much fun at Woodlands, thank you so much.

Everything from the organisation of children’s activities, to hygiene and food, has honestly exceeded my expectations. Thank you to the fabulous team of remarkable people at Woodlands nursery that leave me at ease when my kids are with them. They even soldiered on the entire time during the covid pandemic to stay open for parents that had to work with the utmost safety and professionalism. True heroes!

I cannot recommend Woodlands nursery enough. The care my daughter has received has been amazing! I returned to work when my daughter was 6-months-old so it was quite difficult for me to leave her, but the Woodlands team put my mind at ease straight away with the way they cared for her. She is always very excited to see the staff in the mornings! The team here really know the children, and they are always setting up personalised activities related to her current interests, which are really lovely. The management is also fantastic, and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The staff also upload lots of pictures of her, which is great to see what she has been getting up to, and she is usually grinning in the pictures!

We really couldn't recommend highly enough. Our son is full of smiles when he arrives and all of the staff always make him feel welcome and seem really happy to see him.

My daughter started at Woodlands at eleven months old. It was a journey that was difficult for both my daughter and myself to commence. Leaving a child is never an easy thing to do but the girls who so tenderly cared for my daughter made it easy. She transitioned from the Rabbits to the Hedgehogs smoothly. The Hedgehog ladies were fantastic and have treated me like family. They have supported not only my daughter but my family and myself through a very traumatic loss journey. I will forever be indebted to the ladies who looked after my child when I physically couldn’t and made sure that my daughter was none the wiser about the loss and for that reason alone I would recommend this nursery to everyone. The level of care, kindness, empathy and support along with an excellent learning environment for the children that they collectively provide as a unit makes them truly outstanding.
