Woodlands is the only nursery in Trafford to hold the coveted daynurseries.co.uk regional Top 20 award 2020, which is based solely on parent recommendation. The nursery is located within a green belt in Timperley, surrounded by open fields, with artificial safety-grass, separate baby area and a covered area for all-weather play.

They have an abundance of adventures and experiences for children including music, dance, art & design cooking, sport and imaginative play.

The curriculum is developed by qualified early years’ teachers following the EYFS framework, ensuring that learning is fun, rewarding and effective. Woodlands has a qualified team delivering EYFS curriculum framework developed by early years teachers.

All parents of the nursery children are able to access their child’s updates daily via their key worker on the Tapestry app, this ensures that parents are involved every step of the way.

The food at the nursery is all approved by a registered dietitian and Woodlands uses fresh, and also importantly - locally-sourced ingredients and exposes the children to the most amazing foods and flavours.

My daughter has been going to this nursery for over a year now. I am extremely happy with the care she receives. The staff are all so caring and friendly. My daughter started Woodland nursery at age two and a half years old. She loved it from day one. She was a very happy and confident child at the nursery, having a great relationship with her main carer and other staff and the management team. I am very grateful to the management team and the staff at
the nursery. They definitely went above and beyond supporting our family and our daughter. I can not thank them enough.
It was amazing to receive detailed updates and pictures about my daughter and her day from the website and during the pick-ups. I have received lots of helpful advice from the management and the staff during the last one and a half years.
Woodlands Day Nursery was definitely my daughter's second home where she felt safe and loved and she developed beautifully under your care. You are simply superheroes. Thank you so much for everything.

I am so pleased with the care and service from Woodlands. Within weeks, my son has developed good relationships with the staff. The manager and staff are very caring, friendly and supportive. I would recommend it to any future parents. My child eagerly runs to the door for the staff to let him in each
morning and leaves with a huge smile on his face. He is flourishing under their guidance, especially his key worker. Communication with staff before and after every session helps us feel very supported. Furthermore, communication from the nursery (as a whole) is frequent and informative. I have been impressed with the activities that the children do and there are plenty of opportunities for them to play in the fantastic garden area. You’re doing a fab job Woodlands!

We decided on Woodlands before our daughter was even born. Compared to other nurseries that we viewed, it just gave us the right feeling of a home away from home for our little one.
Our daughter started nursery being just 10 months old, but all the worries that you have as a parent were addressed
and she settled amazingly quickly after just a few sessions. Now she loves going and enjoys the amazing variety of activities (even for the young babies in rabbits) and the delicious food that's on offer every day.
The staff are outstanding, everyone is so nice and professional and even the staff looking after the older kids all know the young ones too. It's like one big family.
It's brilliant to see all the pictures of what my daughter has been up to on the app.
The admin team are great too, you always get a quick response to any queries.
The outdoor area is beautiful and the kids get taken outside a lot. It's a great nursery all around!

My son has settled well in the preschool room and enjoys all the fantastic activities on offer. He has become very ‘clingy’ during lockdown but wakes every morning asking to go to nursery, even on weekends. I love the online observations so I can check on his progress and show grandparents. Excellent.

Finding the right nursery for your child is never an easy task, but from the moment we saw Woodlands, we knew it was the place for our daughter. Me and my husband were both anxious about our daughter starting nursery. She was extremely shy and anxious around new people, but within a few sessions, she
was like a different child. Now she happily runs into nursery with open arms. It is so lovely to see how happy and content she is at Woodlands and the staff are all so lovely, approachable and so caring. They all take the time to know your child completely and know their interests and find activities that they know they will love. I love sitting down after she has been to nursery and looking at her online journal to see what she has been doing and talking to her about it. She has made friends, not only with the children, but the staff too. My daughter's confidence has come on leaps and bounds and I couldn’t be any happier, knowing I am leaving my child in very capable hands.

This is the second time that we have used Woodlands. Our first child had an amazing experience there and what is so lovely, is that all those things that we loved about Woodlands seven years ago are still there and more. The setting itself is beautiful, clean and really well equipped and the staff are

Both of my boys have attended Woodlands. Our eldest is now in school but still talks about the nursery, the staff and the friends he made there. Our youngest started Woodlands at 9 months old and has grown into a very happy and sociable boy, who literally runs through the door with a huge smile on his
face. The setting itself feels warm and welcoming, where all staff know every child and their families. The garden is a wonderful place, both my boys love this space. Activities inside are reflected outside too so the learning continues as well as the fun. The staff are very professional and friendly. They are a huge support to families, especially in this last difficult year. The team work so hard and always encourage parents to get involved in nursery life. Woodlands often hold events to give parents the opportunity to see their children having fun within the setting, offering Mother's and Father's Day parties and Christmas events. My boys have so much fun at Woodlands, thank you so much.

I don’t think I could be happier with any other team to look after my girls. The staff are extremely caring and professional. They go above and beyond to provide the children with such a high level of care and attention. My girls left with so many happy memories and confidence. Confidence that even
their reception teachers would praise them for.
Everything from the organisation of children’s activities, to hygiene and food, has honestly exceeded my expectations. Thank you to the fabulous team of remarkable people at Woodlands nursery that leave me at ease when my kids are with them. They even soldiered on the entire time during the covid pandemic to stay open for parents that had to work with the utmost safety and professionalism. True heroes!

I cannot recommend Woodlands nursery enough. The care my daughter has received has been amazing! I returned to work when my daughter was 6-months-old so it was quite difficult for me to leave her, but the Woodlands team put my mind at ease straight away with the way they cared for her. She is always
very excited to see the staff in the mornings! The team here really know the children, and they are always setting up personalised activities related to her current interests, which are really lovely. The management is also fantastic, and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The staff also upload lots of pictures of her, which is great to see what she has been getting up to, and she is usually grinning in the pictures!

Myself and my son's dad couldn't speak highly enough of this nursery and their staff. They are so friendly, interested, caring and really approachable.
They do so many great activities with the kids and my son really enjoys his nursery days.
They care a lot and give really great feedback for the
parents to see what their child has been up to in the day.
They also have an app where the parents can upload what their child has been doing and they can do the same so the parents can see what their child has been up to at nursery. We personally find this invaluable so we can keep up with the things he's enjoying (some of which we would never have thought of) and it helps with his development.
They also have a great outdoor garden where they grow their own veggies and have play equipment for all ages.
We really couldn't recommend highly enough. Our son is full of smiles when he arrives and all of the staff always make him feel welcome and seem really happy to see him.

My daughter started at Woodlands at eleven months old. It was a journey that was difficult for both my daughter and myself to commence. Leaving a child is never an easy thing to do but the girls who so tenderly cared for my daughter made it easy. She transitioned from the Rabbits to the Hedgehogs smoothly.
The Hedgehog ladies were fantastic and have treated me like family. They have supported not only my daughter but my family and myself through a very traumatic loss journey. I will forever be indebted to the ladies who looked after my child when I physically couldn’t and made sure that my daughter was none the wiser about the loss and for that reason alone I would recommend this nursery to everyone. The level of care, kindness, empathy and support along with an excellent learning environment for the children that they collectively provide as a unit makes them truly outstanding.

Woodlands is a fantastic nursery. Our daughter started in 2017 and has grown in confidence significantly, largely thanks to the amazing care provided by the team. The nursery provides a homely feel and has a fantastic outdoor space, which the children spend a significant amount of time in exploring,
playing and having fun. In addition to the fantastic care provided on a daily basis, the team also put on a variety of trips and events from forest school to workshops for parents. Would highly recommend.

My daughter started at Woodlands nursery in September 2016 when she was just 10 months old. In the last 3 years, she has learned so much and has taken part in so many creative activities and has grown in confidence and made fantastic friends. My son started attending in February 2019 and he loves it
too. The staff are very welcoming and the management team listens to what parents have to say and takes their feedback on board. Their outdoor play area is amazing and the children are spoiled with that space. I would highly recommend Woodlands Day Nursery to anyone looking for nurseries for their children.

Staff are amazing. They are very supportive and approachable. They are also qualified and experienced. It is nice to see how my child looks forward to go to nursery every day and enjoys his day learning and playing with his friends. The environment at Woodlands encourages learning and development. Children
also have activities like ‘forest school’, yoga, zoo lab. The nursery offers a variety of healthy food which is cooked fresh every day (using high-quality ingredients). There are other Ofsted outstanding nurseries much closer to where I live (meaning much less traffic morning and afternoon) but I still chose Woodlands because of the exceptional standards.

We moved our daughter to Woodlands in September. We can’t thank the staff enough for the outstanding care they have given her since she has arrived. I was very anxious about moving nurseries as she struggles in new situations, however, I haven’t regretted our decision once. The staff have completely
