Extremely poor communication from the nursery. My daughter did not receive any of her free childcare hours, after four months a refund payment of 42 hours was given out of a calculated 21 weeks owed. Been trying to arrange a meeting to resolve this but just been repeatedly fobbed off with that they are unavailable when I am.
With regards to education, the nursery has also done very little to progress my daughter in this area. I was given a promise that they would focus on developing her phonics and reading skills to which I saw no active work on this in her final year at the nursery.
They have little understanding about culture and diversity and proceeded to teach children during their week learning about the world that my daughter's heritage is pirates. As they did no research into the history or culture of the people of the Caribbean, they decided to teach the children about ‘pirates of the Caribbean’ which is causing misrepresentation of people of colour from a young age.
My child has enjoyed his nursery experience throughout May 2021. We continue to be impressed by the staff's enthusiasm towards the children every day. It seems a lovely place to enjoy developing and learning. We think the nursery is clean and resources are a good standard. The app is an excellent tool when it is used consistently. Thank you for all your hard work!
Since joining Nina’s Davenport our son has come on immensely in terms of development. We selected this nursery has we had concerns regarding communication but they immediately made us feel supported and he has improved greatly with their support during his time with them so far. He loves nursery and is desperate to get there each time. The team are all lovely and the nursery and the outdoor space are brilliant. Highly recommend.
Our daughter was very shy after the Covid lockdown. We are thrilled with how quickly she settled into Nina's Nursery. She bonded with all the staff quickly and they supported her to build up her confidence with other children. It is a testament to the fantastic team that our daughter is now a much more confident child around other adults and happily plays with children. After viewing over 10 nurseries, what stood out for us is the caring staff who all have a calm, warm approach that made us feel safe to leave our daughter in their care. The facilities are also lovely and the children look happy to be there. Nina's is by far the best nursery we have come across.
I have two children that go to Nina’s Nursery and they both absolutely love it. It is a very friendly place where the staff are very caring. I feel lucky to have found such a lovely place for my children to be cared for.
An amazing nursery where my little girl has fitted in without looking back. The staff are all amazing, it's like home from home for the little ones. The facilities are brilliant, always clean and well presented and she comes home each day completely worn out after having so much fun. I would highly recommend this nursery to all.
The staff are amazing, treating the children like their own. The activities are so much fun for all of the children and it is amazing how time is taken to photograph their daily journey and sent to parents so you always know what they have been doing each day and despite not being there, never feel left out.
The facilities of the nursery and its garden are brilliant, everything is well looked after and always clean.
I am so pleased we chose this nursery for our little girl, we have had a fantastic journey so far and are really looking forward to what comes next. I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone!
Nina's Nursery have been wonderful at creating fun activities for the children despite the continued challenges of COVID-19. The staff are conscientious in all aspects of child care, paying particular attention to our son's likes and dislikes, such as getting the dinosaurs out 'specially after they saw 'real' dinos in Blackpool Zoo. Activities for Halloween were great fun.
I/we consider the staff at nursery as extended family. I feel that they have contributed well to the development of my son and on a daily basis create imaginative activities to develop many skills. The safety of my child is, of course, paramount and I feel the measures that have been implemented post-COVID have been exceptional.
My daughter has been attending Nina's Nursery since the age of 11 months (she is now 4). She thoroughly enjoys attending and gets upset at weekends when she can't go! She had learnt so much from self care to numbers and the alphabet. I will be sad when she leaves to go to school and she will miss all the great staff. Thank you!
Staff here go above and beyond for my son. He has attended Nina's Nursery in Davenport since he was 11 months old, he is now 2.5 years old. The staff are caring and considerate and tailor learning towards my son's interests. They were especially helpful and flexible during lockdown as I am a keyworker.
My son has been attending from 9 months old, it took me a long time to find a nursery I liked but as soon as I went to see Nina's in Davenport I knew it was the one. It is such a homely calming environment. The staff are exceptional. My son was exclusively breastfed when he started until he turned 1. I dropped off milk daily and they were extremely flexible and knowledgable. I'm surprised every day by how he is learning and developing in leaps and bounds and he is so clearly loved and cared for as an individual. I don't think he'd be the confident happy buy he is without Nina's.
Since my son started Nina's Nursery (Davenport) in 2018 the nursery has put 100% effort into his speech and wellbeing. I have never had a bad word to say about any of the staff or the way of learning he is the most polite loving, smartest little boy and it’s down to the nursery and their unique way of teaching. My son loves spending every day there with the staff and children and it will be sad when he leaves in July. Thank you for everything!
Our daughter has started at Nina's Nursery recently. We first were offered to look around the nursery and meet the staff. The nursery manager was very knowledgeable and eased our anxieties. The staff were friendly with them carrying out activities with the children. We chose Nina's because of the small groups of children with calm rooms and happy children. Our daughter who is only 16 weeks old has settled really well with the baby staff and we liked how the nursery manager greeted us at drop off time. My daughter always has a smile on her face when she goes which shows to us she is well cared for and feels secure. We also love the fact that the nursery use an app which we get regular updates on what she is doing. I would recommend this nursery to any of my pregnant or parent friends an amazing nursery which our daughter loves.
My Son and I have both been struggling with the settling in process, but it has been made so much easier due to the help, support and care we have both received from all the staff at Nina's. He is now happily settled and loves his time at Nina's and it means I can go to work reassured he is happy. I receive constant updates on the app about my Son throughout the day and when I pick him up I am always given a full detailed handover of what he has been up to.
Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, clean, tidy, fabulous garden for the children to play in ..... I couldn't ask for anything more. I am one very happy Mummy.
My boy has now been attending the nursery for 10months and I can’t praise it enough. All the staff are fab, and he loves his keyworker.
The nursery is very accommodating to my requirements, which I very much appreciate.
I would definitely recommend this nursery.
Highly recommend Nina’s Nursery, all the staff are amazing cannot fault them, my son loves going every day and his development has improved so so much since he started. Cannot thank you enough for all you do.
My two daughters love to go to nursery. They really love the Spanish teacher that comes once a week. They encourage healthy food and surprisingly my daughters eat all their meals and veg that it is offered to them. This nursery has a great atmosphere as everyone knows everyone. The thing that I love the most is the fact that the garden is big enough so in the hot days of summer the kids stay all day out.
We are so pleased that we chose this nursery for our daughter. She has recently started in Pre-school and the staff have gone above and beyond to help her settle in. They are so friendly, warm and caring and always have something to tell us about what she has been doing at the end of each day. The garden is a fantastic outdoor learning space and the children do so much both inside and outside. We couldn’t be happier with the choice we made when selecting a nursery and would highly recommend it.
Our daughter absolutely loves every member of staff and they are all really good with her, all the way up to Preschool. They are helping to ensure our little girl is a happy, independent and well-rounded child.
