Kids Planet Woodlands in Rochdale provides a caring, stimulating environment for children

Situated in the Children’s centre and part of Woodland’s Community School, the nursery fosters confidence, independence, kindness amongst children and boosts their social skills and physical development.   

Children are independent and eager to learn. They serve their own meals, help to clear plates and wash their hands and faces.

The layout of the nursery allows children to self-select resources and direct their own play.

Children's physical skills are well promoted in the outdoor area and they have lots of opportunities to run, climb, and exercise while having lots of fun.

I am very happy with the nursery my daughter's needs are always met and she is very happy with all members of the staff. My daughter looks forward to going to nursery and is excited when seeing auntie.

My son loves the nursery, he is always playing outside, which I love, and doing activities to help his development. The staff are always helpful and polite. The food is always varied which is good, my son loves the staff he works with.

Our daughter attends the nursery and we can't fault the staff or the care given. Our daughter who is 2 years old started at the age of 7 weeks and enjoys going to nursery daily. She always takes part in many daily activities which are available to view on the app. The only issue is the rules the school
have implemented regarding access to the car park.

My son has been attending since he was 12 months old now 3.5 years old and still loves to go each afternoon. Being a first-time mum I had lots of worries, these were quick to disappear and never returned. I can't recommend this nursery enough. For my son, it's a home-from-home.

My son is 7 and attending to the afternoon school club in Woodlands since year 1.
He loves going there, they're offering a range of activities for the kids. The meals are good as well, he never complains. The staff are very nice and friendly, they're always smiling. They always inform me about his
day at pick up.
I recommend them 100%. I have peace of mind with them.

The staff are always polite and friendly when picking up and they always check that I am who I say I am via a password. My Nephew always seems happy when he comes out to me and tells me about his day at nursery.

All the staff in the after-school club are amazing! They make my son feel welcome and safe and educate life skills he will need growing up.
The manager is absolutely fabulous and always goes above and beyond in the care of our son and all the children but also supports us as parents when we are struggling.
My
son has been coming since he started in reception.
Now in year three, and still loves it like he did when he first started.

My granddaughter is 5 and has attended during the school holidays. She looks forward to going daily which is unusual for her, if she didn't like it she would not be keen. We received a weekly itinerary of the activities daily and these are varied, with a nice selection of different subjects and fun
days. The staff are very welcoming and professional and a good connection between staff and children is clearly observed. Lots of new friendships have been made too. Meals are provided by the club which appear to be healthy options too, a nice varied diet. I would definitely recommend Woodlands Holiday Club if you want your child to be stimulated in the long weeks.

The best nursery, the staff are amazing, and my daughter loves going to the nursery daily, she's come on so much and the management and staff here are so supportive and helpful. My son attended the nursery a few years back before starting school also and loved it I would never have sent my daughter
anywhere else!

The nursery have been really accommodating with my maternity and looking for a new job coinciding with my baby joining the nursery, along with my eldest daughter moving from nursery to school and preparing her for that change. The staff are also so lovely and friendly.

Lovely nursery, offers a range of opportunities and activities for my child, always delivered by happy, smiley staff who are always professional and caring. I feel my son has come on massively in his time with Kids Planet and he loves coming to nursery every single day.

Michelle Tarpey (Shelley) is our Nursery Manager and has worked in childcare for 23 years, she is passionate, caring and dedicated to making children's nursery life fun-filled. She has worked at Woodlands for 10 years and has been the manager for 8 years. She holds an NVQ Level 3 in childcare.
