We have found the staff at Holyrood to be extremely friendly and professional. My son really enjoys the time that he spends at nursery and would I would recommend the nursery to friends and family.
Our daughter started at the nursery at the beginning of the year. She has really settled and enjoys it here. She walks in confidently and goes straight to her carers and the activities she sees. The staff are lovely and very helpful, answering any questions you have. She is really happy here!
I assume the food is fantastic because she eats everything, every day and often has seconds!
The children spend lots of time outside in the garden which contains lots of toys/activities for them (a bike, a sandpit, water stuff, a tunnel, a bridge, a balance beam).
The fact she runs to the door every morning because she is looking forward to another day I think shows how great they are with the children.
The only thing I would like to see is her bringing home more paintings/crafts she has done during the day -- she often comes home covered in felt tip pen or glue but very little in the way of her creations gets handed over at pickup time.
The newish manager is very approachable and they initiate change based on feedback which is great to see.
My son clearly has fun every day at nursery and has excelled in confidence in recent months and I believe that this is due to his nursery days. He has become explorative and clearly learns a lot when he is away from us as parents. The nursery gives him a safe environment where he is free to roam and explore (and make a mess of course). The fact he knows the name of every child and staff member says a lot too.
Great nursery with excellent staff.
I have noticed great progression with my child since he started coming to Holyrood and look forward to seeing him progress even further.
All the other children appear happy and well cared for.
My daughter started at Holyrood Hope at the beginning of June and has settled in really well, the staff were very helpful during this period. The manager answered all of my many questions and was very good at making me feel at ease about leaving my child. All of the staff are very friendly, smiley and approachable and my daughter gets very excited when we enter the nursery building. She also looks like she has had the best day when she leaves, she always has a fresh nappy and dry clothes. The nursery provides a slip with information regarding nap times, nappy changes and food/milk consumed during the day, which is useful however I think maybe if this was recorded in a book or file it would be better to keep all the information together. There are lovely displays in the baby room with photos of all the babies and the activities set out each day are varied, the room is welcoming and safe. I would highly recommend this nursery.
Since joining the nursery my son has become more socially active and loves to go the nursery everyday. Highly caring, supportive, understands individual needs. Would definitely recommend to others.
Overall I am really happy with my daughter's progress since starting at Holyrood, the social interaction and development has been great to witness. Nursery has contributed to some milestones of hers, for example learning to self-feed. She loves it here!
Thank You
Our little man has been going to Hope for 9 months or so, and has made great progress. Rooms are always set out well and imaginatively, and there is a varied programme of activities and events. The home cooked food is really good, with a varied menu and fresh ingredients. Our little man seems to enjoy it very much judging by his daily report card. Staff are very friendly, and always greet the children by name. Long standard hours and open every Monday to Friday except Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Overall a friendly place, with good standards, food and activities.
The nursery has been through some changes recently which I believe are now beginning to bear it's fruits. The transition in relation to practical things (not the care this has never been an issue) as a parent, has been hard at times in particular around delay in room developments following reconfiguration which made it less homely than before.
The staff are always friendly although there can be quite a lot of new faces which may be confusing for the children. The management always appear approachable and listen to concerns and comments with respect and empathy.
I have sent both my children to Holyrood and have always been very happy with the care they have received. Both of my children have developed into well balanced, happy children and I believe their time at Holyrood has been integral in this development.
He loves to play (especially outside) and the staff always entertain the children well.
Staff and management are so friendly and helpful and know everything about my child.
Having happy children seems to be a main priority.
I don't think my son is a very good eater but he seems to eat well and try new things better at nursery, the food given to him is very good.
An excellent nursery. Both of my children have attended and have progressed impressively. The staff are very professional and friendly and polite. They always make you feel welcome and encourage parent participation.
