Aunt Mary's Day Nursery

All my children have been through Aunt Mary's and I wouldn't have sent them anywhere else. The staff are friendly and are happy to give advice if needed. The manager is very flexible with shifts and will always try her best to accommodate our needs. Now my youngest child is going to school I am going to miss all the staff and will always recommend the nursery to others. I will also make sure my children remember all of the fun times they had during their time there.

My daughter has been coming to the nursery since she was 10 months old and she loves s attending and has really settled in well. The staff are great very reassuring and so is the nursery manager. She is excellent with reassuring and talking you through things even if it is a few times. We are really happy with this nursery.

Excellent nursery, my daughter has come on so much since being at this nursery. My daughter has been here since 18 month old and has had a great experience. I would highly recommend sending your child to Aunt Mary's Day Nursery.

Our son absolutely loves going to nursery, the team at Aunt Mary’s are so kind, compassionate and brilliant with all the children. Our little boy has progressed so much since going to Aunt Mary's Day Nursery, in all areas of development. He started when he was 14 months old and as a first time mum I was nervous about my baby starting nursery so young, but the team are brilliant and keep you updated through the day, which was a real comfort.

Aunt Mary's Day Nursery is such a lovely warm atmosphere, every morning everyone is so lovely, it feels like home from home. Our boy is progressing so well and we enjoy getting his regular progress reports. We love the focus on outdoor play and the children get the opportunity to explore outdoors. I feel the nursery work really well with parents in getting the best for the children. The use of flexible days is also brilliant for us as a family and this benefit is great to have, especially being on shift work, it works perfectly for us.

Since my daughter has started nursery at St Mary’s she has really developed her confidence, language and her motor skills. The staff have been amazing and really welcomed her, making her comfortable at leaving me when I go to drop her off. We really do love it here and would highly recommend placing your little ones here. The meals always sound delicious and I feel safe that my child is in their care. Also, it is based in such a beautiful area with plenty of nature around the nursery where they tend to go for walks and learn about nature.

Value for money is definitely something you get at Aunt Mary's. From the range of food to the care and education they provide - top-notch in every department.

During his time at Aunt Mary’s, our son has thrived and absolutely loves it, as do we. We particularly love that the nursery is in Healey Dell and that the children are encouraged to explore nature and the surrounding environment. If you want your child to come home looking pristine, this might not be the place for you. But for us, the grass stains and muddy wellies are a sign of a day well spent. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this setting to prospective parents and will be sad when the time comes for our son to leave. Aunt Mary’s has definitely set him up for his next step into big school.

My son absolutely loves his nursery. The children spend a lot of time walking and exploring the Dell. The policy of the nursery is to spend an hour (at least) outside every day come rain or shine, which I think is fabulous! The "Aunties" are all fabulous, every time I pick my son up they are singing, dancing, playing with them or making artwork or playing in the garden. Send your little one in clothes you don't mind getting messy! Their help with potty training has been invaluable and I'm always kept up to date with what my son has been up to during the day. Couldn't recommend more!

My child loves going to Nursery and enjoying both indoor and outdoor play. It is in a great setting and my child loves to explore the surrounding area. The staff encourage and praise the children when they have done something well but are also strict when it comes to behaviour which is not acceptable, giving the children learning skills in understanding right from wrong and preparing them for reception. Also, my child loves the food prepared at the Nursery and eats better than at home!

This is a fantastic nursery, both my teenagers went here so when I had my son, there was no doubt he would be attending here. Extremely flexible with days and hours which is a godsend. They keep us up to date about everything with him. The best thing about this nursery is the location and all the outdoor adventures the children get to go on. He absolutely loves going to nursery and all the staff.

My 3-year-old started Aunt Mary’s in May, he has autism and when he started had very challenging behaviour and was nonverbal, in the short time he's attended he has made superb progress in all areas. He is socialising with other children, he is saying full sentences and the improvements in his general behaviour is remarkable. He loves the nursery and I can not thank the staff enough for the amazing work and care they have given him. An outstanding team, the time, care, attention, and understanding of each child and their individual abilities is priceless.

Our son absolutely loves his nursery and his Aunties, they are fabulous with him. They support him with his education and emotional growth but also us with advice and support. I love how he can go on nature walks or have water days when it's hot, there is a great focus on nature and being part of it which is one of the reasons we chose this nursery. The app allows me to know what his day has been like and what he has eaten so I can plan evening meals. We can also communicate with the staff or management so easily with the app. I would highly recommend Aunty Mary's, it lets children be children but also grow with independence.

My son attends this nursery 4 days a week and he absolutely loves it (sometimes would prefer to stay at nursery than come home haha which speaks for itself) the girls in pre-school have been fabulous with my son and do what they can to meet his needs. The nursery setting is in the heart of Healy dell and a very homely environment that puts the children at ease. Staff go above and beyond with the children in their care. My son is due to leave here soon but my second son will be following as will my youngest very soon. Staff are very friendly, approachable, and welcoming. The managers run the place great and if any queries or issues they are spot on! I honestly couldn’t ask for a better nursery to send my son. Special thanks to members of staff in preschool for just being amazing with my son, he idolises you all!

My child has been attending this fabulous nursery since they were a small baby and it’s lovely to see the friendships blossom. The staff are very friendly, firm but fair and it’s plain to see they all care about each and every child. The location is amazing and all the children get to experience this with nature walks, etc. Communication is good and the food sounds and smells amazing, with great variable menus, this has helped my child develop a wonderfully varied and nutritious diet. I know they are in safe hands here and I’ll be sad when it comes time for them to leave for school.

My little girl loves going to this nursery and all her aunties. She has got good spoken language development due to this nursery and has got so many friends. The staff are caring and always helpful. I have had a good experience in 2 years.

My son left Aunt Mary’s in August 2021, after being there for over 4.5 years. As a first-time mum, I was a little bit nervous when it came to looking for a nursery, as I had no experience of what to check for, but from the moment I walked past and enquired about a place the manager instantly put me at ease. He started when he was only about 6 months old and stayed all the way through until he started school. My son loved his time here! He still likes to hello to the staff members if he’s ever with me to collect his sibling. It’s lovely that they all remember who he is too, as it makes it feel more like a community rather than just a business. He also has friends from this nursery that are now in the same class as him at school. I asked him what he liked most about going to Aunt Mary’s and he said he “liked going outside in the yard and playing in the play shed.” If you are looking for a local nursery in a great outdoor location I would definitely recommend Aunt Mary’s.

My son can be very shy, especially around children and people he doesn't know, the aunts at nursery have always been so good with him, make him feel part of everything even when he would rather just hide under a rock! Can not thank them all enough for the love and support they have shown to him, and me! Brilliant nursery and highly recommended.

I currently have my grandson at Aunt Mary's. He will be leaving this time to go to big school, and I will then bring my 2nd grandson to you guys, I can't thank you enough for how well you all are with not just my grandson but all of the other children at Aunt Mary's. The location is fantastic for all the little ones. You do so much with them from potty training them to taking them on little adventures in the dell. I will recommend Aunt Mary's to everyone I know. Thank you to all of the staff at Aunt Mary's and to the person who prepares the meals for the children.

Before I even had my little one, I had already had my heart set on her coming to Aunt Mary's, mainly due to the beautiful location and the fun adventures I knew the toddlers got to go on. It just seemed like such a unique and perfect setting for a child to go to. Fast forward to my little one turning 1 and she has now been at Aunt Mary's for a month and the difference I have seen already is amazing. She is becoming such a confident girl and can tell she loves her two days a week here. All the Aunties are wonderful and so caring, which is a great reassurance to a first-time Mummy. My girl gets to play outdoors and take part in messy play, which she loves. They update you throughout the day on their app, which is brilliant, as I feel that tiny bit more connected to her, when I'm missing her whilst I'm at work. Thank you for being so wonderful and I'm looking forward to watching her continue to grow in your amazing nursery.
