Oberlin Street Nursery

My son absolutely loves nursery. He has been attending since he was just over 1 year old (he's currently 16 months old). I was initially nervous but was instantly put at ease when meeting the staff. They are very informative, trustworthy and friendly. I have updates about him throughout the day via the app and feel very comfortable leaving him in their care. He has since been undergoing tests for a possible neurological condition which inhibits him from meeting his milestones. They are more than happy to help accommodate his needs, liaising with external bodies (physio/occupational therapy etc) to try and get the best care for him, even acquiring suitable equipment for him as he is unable to sit unaided. He is always included in all activities even if it means he requires a little more care. Communication is absolutely fantastic. I want to give an extra mention to one baby room staff member, in particular, who my son adores, he always has a smile on his face for her which is a testament to how great they are.

My nephew attended the nursery and was welcomed and made to feel at home. They accommodated to his halal diet with ease and ensured he is always well looked after. His speech has massively improved since attending this setting he is always extremely excited about attending nursery and is always talking about the staff there I would highly recommend!

My daughter is quite shy and anxious with new people but she loves going to nursery. She's always talking about her friends and teachers when at home and that's lovely to hear as it shows she has lots of fun with them all.

My son has been there since he was 1, never had a problem or a bad word to say! All staff are lovely! He is familiar with all the staff, he has lots of friends which have been there since day one with him. He’s always coming home telling the family what good fun he’s had at nursery. Highly recommend!

As a child care practitioner and trainer, I have extremely high expectations of any child care provider. This setting has very standards and constantly strives to achieve outstanding. They are passionate about children and this shows on their interactions with them! My son loves nursery and is keen to go in the school holidays. Excellent communication between staff and parent, and appreciative of the time that is given to me when I pick my son up.

Really good nursery my daughter has been in this nursery since January but before that, she was in the other branch. Staff are really nice and look after my daughter really well and they feedback to me on everything that she has done in the day. I can call whenever to see how she’s doing. If I need extra days to put my daughter in they can which is really helpful.

My daughter has only recently joined this nursery due to a closure at her previous one and I can’t praise them enough for how well they have helped her settle in. She’s always smiling every time I pick her up and seems very well looked after. They are prompt with posting updates on the app so that I can see how she is doing. Overall really happy so far!

Had my son in since he was 6-months-old, and he loves it. Staff are friendly and always on hand to assist. My son enjoys going - he has lots of friends, who he has been with since he started. Food is excellent and has a wide variety.

My child loves going to the nursery every day and is always so excited to tell me about his day. The staff are friendly and always welcome my son with open arms and a smile in the mornings. Couldn’t fault the nursery at all! Absolutely fantastic nursery.

My son has been attending before and after school club, as well as the holiday club, for a few years now, after trying a few other local settings that offer a school drop off and pick up service. This place is by far the best, and my son loves it!

The staff are very friendly, caring and have built a relationship with both me and my son. Management is amazing; they are very accommodating in regards to adding extra sessions at short notice due to the nature of my job.

My son, who is now 5, started coming to the nursery when he was 17-months-old until he went to reception. He absolutely loved it, and the staff are fantastic. He now goes to the holiday club, which he says he likes better than school. My 2-year-old daughter has also been going for a few months now, and she also enjoys it. I always get updates sent each day of all the different activities she's been doing. I trust the staff 100%, and the work they do is amazing. All the staff a friendly and always willing to help. I would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents.

My daughter enjoys going into nursery and has made some new friends. She likes playing with the toys and get involved with all activities that are on each day she is in.

My eldest daughter has been at Smart Start morning and after school club for three years, due to relocating from the south of England, she had anxieties however the staff enabled my daughter to feel comfortable in her new setting. They have always collected her on time and if an emergency occurs they will try their best to accommodate. When I had my second daughter I knew there was no other place to send her. Smart start ensured me my baby would be loved and cared for in the correct way. I have so much trust in the staff at smart start, my baby has settled into her setting and loves the staff, she has blossomed and continues to grow and explore. I am kept up to date via an app and able to call to check how she is doing if I ever feel the need to check on her. The staff here are friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy.

Excellent nursery! My son was very shy starting nursery and staff have been very welcoming and patient. He is now coming out of his shell and is loving going thanks to the staff. Also, a good thing I found was getting a daily log of what he gets up to and pictures every day which I find settling.

My son started nursery here last month and he has learnt a lot already. He has just learnt how to hold a spoon and feed himself, I get pictures and updates about what he's been up to on the app and he also enjoys the lovely meals he gets there. The workers are all great and update me at the end of the day to let me know how he has been and help me if I need anything.

My baby who is almost two has been going since he was 10 months old. He goes three days a week and absolutely loves it. The staff are all fantastic and he is very familiar with them all as they all great a lovely bond with the children as they care for them day in day out as if they were their own. My eldest son who is now five also went from being 10 months old and now goes to holiday club there. He still has such a great relationship with all the staff and loves going back in school holidays. Both my children have both been ahead with their speech, confidence and learning at Smart Start and are both very social children because of the way the fantastic staff have encouraged them in every step of there development. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parents looking for a great nursery with fantastic long-established staff.

My son has been here from being a young baby, he is now 7 and my daughter has been here since a young baby, she is 3 next month. It is an extremely excellent nursery, so much for the children to do, both nursery and before and after school club. Both my children absolutely love coming here. The staff are so friendly and professional and really do put your mind at ease. My children have come on leaps and bounds due to coming to the nursery. My daughter has a rare need from birth and they have put my mind at ease with her. I would highly recommend this nursery. I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else.

My son feels so comfortable here. Couldn’t ask for a better start to his learning. Staff are very welcoming and information between staff and parent is great. Outdoor activities are amazing for not just fun but learning too.

I would fully recommend Smart Start nursery to anyone looking for an outstanding childcare provider. The staff are very friendly and always have a smile on their face; my son feels very comfortable with them. He often says how he enjoys his time at nursery and it's great to see the way he's progressed over the months. They seem to know my son and his interests/needs very well and staff are great at communicating personal updates particularly via the app. The extra precautions taken during Covid-19 are very reassuring. Would 100% recommend.
