Paintpots Newall Green Day Nursery is located in Newall Green, Wythenshawe and is in an ideal location with easy access to major transport and commuter routes both into Manchester and its also very close to Manchester Airport.

Paintpots Nursery operates from a purpose-built nursery building which consists of three age groups split into three different sections. The under two's space has lots of sensory items as the babies begin to explore and discover their senses. They have their own separate sleep space. Toddler and Preschool rooms have different areas such as sand and water, construction, art, home corner, role play and dressing up, physical ramp, music area, maths and more! All rooms have direct access to a dedicated outdoor area as well as smaller areas that can be divided to be more age specific. The nursery has its own onsite sensory room.

They achieved 'Good' on the recent OFSTED inspection in August 2023.

Paintpots team consists of a mixture of qualified and experienced staff and up to three modern apprentices, all enthusiastic and motivated with every child’s best interests at heart. Experienced staff set a great example for the apprentices who are eager to learn and develop further. All staff have a detailed understanding of the EYFS and carefully observe and plan activities for all children to continuously learn and develop through play based activities. All staff are first-aid trained.

To ensure best practice the team has regular staff meetings and use parent questionnaires and meetings with professionals to ensure 'best practice' as well as being able to call upon the support network of the other Paintpots settings.

Both my children have attended this nursery from being six months old, they are now 8 and 4. They currently attend the holiday club and love it. The staff are friendly, polite and approachable. The manager is very professional and is approachable and there to discuss any query’s also, both the owners
have been brilliant over the years. My eldest has additional needs, and they respond to him in a caring and understanding manner and have made every adjustment to cater to his needs and what makes him feel comfortable. I honestly couldn’t rate this nursery highly enough. It’s why I’ve been using them for the last 8 years!

My son has now left for school, however, he enjoyed his two and a half years at Paintpots immensely and I would recommend them to any local parent. We have another on the way now, and no doubt will be using Paintpots again.

The nursery has grown from a few children and staff to nearly fully staffed and occupied. Preschool has a fully qualified teacher who is lovely and very experienced. The teacher and nursery have made extra efforts to care for our autistic child and have provided additional resources and training for
staff at no extra cost to us. Authority rating and all staff are either level 2/3 NVQ trained. Simply brilliant.

The team at Paintpots nursery made my little boys transition into nursery life a very pleasant one, I was always apprehensive with regards to leaving him somewhere new as I work 5 days a week, however, the nursery nurse and her team are extremely friendly, caring and clearly passionate about their job,
making my little boy feel secure from day one. One month on and my little one is so happy when I drop him off at nursery and full of smiles when I collect him, the detailed daily sheet tells me everything I need to know and there's always a team member from his room ready to greet me with information on his day. Daily walks and trips to the park, farm, zoo also make this nursery a brilliant choice for any child.
I find their online learning journals 'Tapestry' a great way for me to keep track of my child's progress, I often log on to it at work and check out any new observations and pictures that have been added.
I opted for Paintpots nursery purely on the feeling I had on my show around as well as the friendly staff and facilities i.e. separate sleeping room, individual outdoor play areas and a dining room.
I also discovered that most nurseries charge an extra for food for the day, on top of theire daily rate, however, Paintpots don't do this.
Overall I would highly recommend Paintpots nursery to any parents.

Beth

Beth McGrath

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2015

Beth is currently the nursery manager. Beth is based in the office but spends lots of time in the rooms and loves taking part in activities with the children. Beth is our Behaviour Management Lead and Communication champion, supporting team members to complete all relevant assessment paperwork.


Beth has a 7-year-old daughter and 1 year old daughter, and enjoys spending time on family days out at the weekends, and watching films.

Lauren is our nursery deputy manager. Lauren joined us in 2020 after her maternity leave. She has 15 years of experience working within childcare settings.


Lauren loves messy play and supporting the children to meet their developmental milestones. She enjoys supporting the nursery's quality and sharing new and exciting ideas with the team.


Lauren loves to spend time with her daughter during her time away from the nursery.

Shauna works in our Toddler room and joined us in 2021 after she decided she was ready for a career change.


Shauna is Level 3 qualified. Shauna has fantastic bonds with her key children and families and has a particular passion for supporting children with additional needs.


Shauna loves to spend time with her family and friends and tries to visit family back home in Ireland as much as possible.

Ashley works in our preschool and has been with the company since March 2021. Ashley enjoys being outdoors, joining in with lots of messy play activities and singing and dancing with the children. Ashley has three children of her own and enjoys spending her time on family days out and socialising with her friends.

Carla is based in our Toddler room and is spending some time as a one-to-one, working with children with SEND. Carla has worked in childcare for 14 years, across a number of different settings.

Stacey works in our Baby room and is Level 3 qualified. Stacey has 17 years of experience within childcare and has worked across all age ranges.
