Brighter Beginnings Newton Heath is an exceptional nursery, providing outstanding care and education for children. In their most recent Ofsted inspection on 29th March 2023, the nursery was awarded an "Outstanding" rating, a reflection of the excellent learning environment and care provided. Ofsted praised the nursery, noting that children are immersed in their learning experiences, spending significant time engaged, excited, and in awe of the activities and opportunities available to them.

This nursery has a warm welcome. The staff are lovely and make you feel welcome.
When settling my little girl into the nursery, the staff were very patient and loving. I was very nervous of leaving my little girl with total strangers but they made me feel at ease and even gave me a cup of tea while
I waited. My little girl settled fine and is still there a year later. She loved going to nursery and tells me lots of good things. The staff are really good and always feed me information when I collect her. I can't ask for a better nursery for my little girl. They offer so much, like trips to zoos and swimming once a week. Well done to the staff here.

My son transitioned here from another nursery (not a Brighter Beginnings) when his nursery suddenly shut down! The staff was very compassionate towards this delicate situation, very understanding and approachable.
My son settled in very and thoroughly enjoyed his time here.

Our daughter transitioned here from another Brighter Beginnings nursery. They made sure her settling in process was smooth and child centred.
She has been at Brighter Beginnings since she was 9 months old and still loves it 3 years on.
The bond she creates with her key workers is amazing. She loves
them all deeply and that makes us having to leave her there a smooth process.
The nursery offer a clean lovely nurturing environment. They supported us through getting her to sleep in the day without me being there (breastfeeding), supported us with our baby led weaning, potty training and now with her preparation for big school next year.
The online learning log and parents evenings allow us to get an idea of her development in their setting.
The food is lovely and caters well for our vegetarian diet. She gets plenty of sessions of physical activity, IT sessions, singing, art and craft and independent learning. I would recommend Brighter Begininings to all.

I would highly recommend this nursery to all my friends. It is nice and tidy, there are lots of activities for my baby. She is very happy, and from the front door of the nursery, she runs to her group. The staff is very friendly and is responsible.

The staff at this nursery are very helpful and make me feel comfortable leaving my son with them on a daily basis. My son moved from another nursery and they made the transition easy and worked hard to help my son settle in. I find the staff at the nursery polite and they're all approachable by both

My child has been at this nursery since 9 months old. I cannot recommend it anymore. Not only had my child come on leaps and bounds but my child has learnt the utmost respect and politeness and I believe this is down to the nursery. The manager of the nursery has always gone above and beyond not only
to meet my child's needs but my family's. I have never had any worries since my child is in their care, from the key worker in the baby room, to the key worker in the preschool room. I have no bad words to say about the nursery and all the staff. I would recommend this nursery to anybody I know as I believe they could not do better for the children they care for.

My son started at this nursery when he was 6 months old and is starting his transition into school this September. The settling in process was done at my son's speed and he formed a great attachment to his key worker. The nursery regularly goes on days out/trips to the park. So much exploring and learning
through play. My son will come home and tell me how much he's enjoyed his day. I enjoy the open days/mornings they do, such as mother's day breakfast and stay and play. I feel my son is more than ready for school and has learnt a lot to give him a head start in big school! Thank you to the brilliant team!

My daughter started at Brighter Beginnings Newton Heath when she was 5 months old meaning she needed some one to one time for feeding etc, the staff were more than happy to accommodate this, meaning that my daughter now has secure attachments with staff. There is lots to do for the children including
a range of activities, stay and play sessions and trips into the local community and beyond. The online learning journey is a great touch and helps me stay up to date on her learning and development. Thank you all for making my transition back in to work an easy one.

My little boy started nursery at 6 months and the staff made me feel at ease from day 1. From the personal touch of the home visit, to tailored settling sessions to suit his routine. He settled really well and has a great bond with all the staff in his room, especially his key worker. I can't thank
the staff and the manager enough for making this transition a pleasure. I would also like to add how much I enjoy seeing his online learning journey. Just a quick click online and I have the pleasure of viewing what my little boy has been doing throughout the day, which helps me to relax and not feel guilty leaving him as I can see he's having lots of fun. I would 100% recommend this nursery to everyone.

Hello, my name is Louise and I have worked within the early years sector for over ten years and joined the Brighter Beginnings team in 2023. Over my decade of experience, I have worked my way up from an apprentice to becoming a nursery manager. I have gained an array of knowledge during my time as an early-year practitioner, beginning with a level 2 apprenticeship and more recently graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University completing a degree in Early Years and Childhood studies.


My passion for early years has been something that has driven me to ensure all children and families have a sense of belonging during their time in our setting and feel that they are listened to and understood. As a parent myself, I aim to give support to all families and hope to build strong partnerships with parents and carers. At Brighter Beginnings Newton Heath we love to arrange lots of different special events across the year which we open up to the whole community, some of our most recent events have been a Halloween event in our outdoor provision ‘Brighter Blossoms’, summer and Christmas fairs and stay and play sessions.


It’s a wonderful way to reach out to families and the wider community.

Hello, my name is Imogen, I joined Brighter Beginnings in 2021.


I began my career as an apprentice achieving a Distinction grade in my level 3 qualification.
Since then, I have been given the opportunity to be Newton Heath’s 16–24-month (Little Explorer’s) room leader.


As a room leader, I take pride in all of my work and I am determined to do whatever I put my mind to. I feel confident when leading my team and ensuring children’s and family’s needs are always met to a high standard. I ensure a high-quality provision is provided to the children in our care, and ensure the playroom is fun, inviting and welcoming to all!


I am always looking for new ways and activities to engage the children. I enjoy working together as a whole nursery to create a happy, engaging space for children to grow, develop and establish a positive sense of self.

I am level 3 qualified in early years and also hold level 2 and 3 in play work.
