The committed and friendly team of practitioners provides children with a variety of learning opportunities which follow the early years foundation stage (EYFS) and they are encouraged to learn through play.
The nursery is open from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm during term time.
The nursery is fortunate enough to be situated inside a previous Children's Centre where they have lots of lovely space including an outside area to play in.
The nursery is split into three rooms. The first room is called "The Little Stars" where the children age from 6 weeks to 2 years old. The second room is the 'Little Treasures' room where they take children from 2 until 3 years of age.
Then when staff feel the children are ready and parents are happy they move them into the 'Little Explorers' room where children can stay until they are 5 years of age.
Environments are very welcoming with home from home style and lots of natural resources that are used to create inviting, exciting, imaginative and explorative spaces to engage all of the children.
The focus is on the children's own interests and staff work closely with all families all of the time. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always on hand to help whenever they can.
There is also an after-school club and staff do a school pick up from Crabtree Farm Primary school next door.
There is restricted parking however you can park on Clayfield Close which is just a road next to them.

Out-of-school care is priced as follows: £8 for 1 hour, £12 for 1.5 hours, and £15 for 2 hours.

Refundable Deposit
The nursery does not charge a registration fee. However, families who are paying fees are required to pay a deposit to secure their child's place. This deposit is fully refundable and will be deducted from your final invoice, provided the required notice period has been given and all terms of the agreement have been met. Full details of the deposit and notice requirements will be provided during the enrolment process to ensure complete transparency and peace of mind for families.

Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery applies funded hours during term time only. You've selected 30 funded hours.
This nursery applies up to 6.5 funded hours per day, used only during term time. With your selected funding, 19.5 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. We have found the team is professional and competent in the last 5 years of using them. They supported us through being first time parents, offering support and reassurance when we freaked out. Nothing is ever to much for the management team to deal with. It now feels for us we're sending our children to a nursery who considers them like family. Our children are happy to go there, even on weekends our son wants to go to Nursery. It shows me that we made the right choice all those years ago.

My daughter goes here! She looks forward to it everyday and even wants to go at the weekend! Absolutely guttered we have just moved and have to change to a different nursery to save on travelling cost! She sure will miss all staff! They all do a brilliant job and make everyone feel welcome

I have a son as well as over 10 years of experience in the Early Years sector. I gained my NNEB certificate in 1998 and have loved working at Bulwell Childcare and being a part of building it up to a reputable nursery where all our children and families love coming each day.
I have a fantastic team all with various skills that together we make it a home from home, a happy place to be and where all our children flourish. Hi, I have a National Diploma in Early Years & Education which I gained in 2016. I have been working with Bulwell Childcare ever since and with the support of a good team, I have grown in confidence and knowledge. I have a child of my own so understand how hard it can be to leave them in childcare. I am a passionate worker who just loves being a part of the development of all the little ones we are involved in within the nursery. I am a mother of one boy and one girl and can speak Slovak, Polish, Czech and English. I qualified with a level 3 Diploma in Childcare in 2012 and haven't looked back. I have enjoyed working with all ages and am pleased I have had the chance to use my languages to support some of our families in Bulwell Childcare. I am a very conscientious worker and always go over and above in anything I do. Being a part of each of our key children's lives is a real privilege and documenting their progress to share with families after is something I really enjoy too.
