The nursery features spacious rooms, a dedicated sand room, an outdoor playroom, and an expansive garden with a Forest School site, mud kitchen, and vegetable patch. Children benefit from an educational blend of the Forest School ethos, Curiosity Approach, and Reggio Emilia, encouraging exploration, independence, and creativity.

A highly qualified team supports every child’s development, including Level 3 SENCOs and Forest School leaders. Regular community outings are made possible by the nursery mini bus, and families are kept engaged through the nursery app, stay-and-play sessions, lending library, and open days.

Staff are engaged and genuinely care for the children. Provide an excellent range of activities and opportunities to learn. Feel our child is well supported, cared for and loved.
The facilities are one of the best features, we really like the outdoor space and opportunity that provides for children.

We always feel comfortable and safe leaving our son at the Ruddington Day Nursery. It is great to see him with other kids and doing different activities on the photos and videos they send us through the app. We would highly recommend this nursery.

Lovely nursery with caring and engaged staff. They provide a wide variety of age-appropriate activities and lots of outdoor active play. Good at responding to the individual child’s needs and parental concerns.

Nursery is simply amazing. They follow all routine and additional requests and instructions. Staff always keep us updated through the app and are just so friendly. I've found that the staff here really go above and beyond for all of the children in their care, doing crafts, sensory activities and having
plenty of outside time each day. My daughter also has a few dietary requirements and they cater for her perfectly and are always willing to provide another option if she doesn't eat the first thing offered. I truly could not think of a better place to send my daughter. I am so grateful for all of the staff and the amazing care they provide, can't recommend them enough.

We absolutely love Ruddington Nursery. We have recommended it to all friends and family. The staff seem very caring and kind and help to communicate with the children and have their best interests at heart.

The nursery is Excellent in general. My kid returns home very happy so they must have been doing a really great job for our children.
I have only one request if they can put in mind - In pre-school, we don’t get a detailed feedback on what the kid was doing throughout the day.
The application is
so deficient or even doesn't say anything other than the child going from one room to the other, nothing about meals, interactive or learning activities, and it is not satisfactory to just speak with the childcare provider during the pickups. There’s always a long waiting queue and everyone is busy with his schedule, and almost many things are left unsaid.
So if it is possible to just give us complete feedback regarding this in the app, we will be more than grateful especially if the child doesn't know how to speak or narrate what happened with him during the day.

Overall I am very happy about this choice. I think they can improve the variety of the food and use more seasonal fruits and vegetables.
All staff are really good, they do a lot of different activities and we love the huge space outside not close to a busy road.

My children attend Ruddington Day Nursery and have a great time. They always come home with lots of stories to tell of what they have been up to and come home messy which I love to see! They have learned so much from going here and made lovely friendships with other children and staff along the way.
The staff seem to really care for the children which makes me feel so at ease leaving my children here in their care.

My daughter settled in here so beautifully thanks to the warm, professional staff. Communication has been excellent and she has progressed well with milestones and socially. She has built lovely relationships with the staff and is always happy going to nursery. We are moving to a partner nursery soon
as we are moving house, which they have been supportive and flexible with. A fab nursery I would highly recommend.

Amazing from the start. They arranged settling in sessions for my daughter and she warmed to them all straight away. The staff put me at ease and gave me a mug, tea bag and kitkat to take home while I waited to pick her up! They genuinely care about the babies and look after them so well. The food seems
great and the menu very varied. The babies sleep outside which my daughter loves. The staff are so accommodating and happy to use reusable nappies, give medications etc. Can’t recommend Ruddington Day Nursery highly enough.

Staff are caring towards children.
Activities are well thought out and build upon learning.
Good opportunities for play based learning.
Children are encouraged to try new things and celebrated.
When you have built a good relationship with a key worker, good communication is given on pick-up
and drop-off, but this is not always consistent.
With the new electronic system. Communication, observations and diaries have improved.
The amount of time for exploring outside is outstanding and helps build for a love of being outside with nature.
More community events could be offered to bring families together and share magic moments with the children.
Overall this is a good nursery and I would promote it to others and send future children here.

My son loves the outdoor space and his development and learning has been incredible. The staff are so friendly and helpful and they really care about the children. They get to do lots of different activities and always seem to be having lots of fun.

Lovely rural setting with an outdoorsy ethos. Staff are caring, helpful and imaginative, and have a wonderful rapport with the children. Both of our children absolutely love going to nursery there and have had some fantastic experiences.
