The Secret Garden provides high-quality childcare within a warm, friendly 'home from home' setting.

They have a team of dedicated and enthusiastic staff who tailor every activity to the development of each individual child. This ensures the development of every child to their full potential through fun and stimulating play, making confident, happy children.

The children progress through the West Bridgford nursery from the Ladybirds room (babies), Butterflies room (toddlers), Dragonflies, Honeybees and Bumblebees (pre-school).

A private garden to the rear with a dedicated area for the babies means that the children are outdoors enjoying nature and physical activities on a daily basis and a free flow system means that at certain times, children can choose to play indoors or outdoors.

Each child has a key person in each room, enabling the staff to form a strong bond with every child and to get to know them extremely well.

Secret Garden Childcare is a small, family-run business with a focus on nature and the environment. They focus on using natural materials and accessing the outdoor environment to maximise learning opportunities.

Extra-curricular activities include French lessons and forest school for the pre-school children, regular walks to the local park, shops and feeding the ducks, taking full advantage of local opportunities for learning about the world.

No learning opportunity is lost; even a rainy day can make for a fun learning activity, kitted out with wellies, brollies and waterproofs!

We have loved having our child at Secret Garden Nursery. The staff go above and beyond to get to know your child and plan their next steps. Communication is top notch and I always feel like I know what my child does during her day.

I recently enrolled my two year old son and he settled in very well and loves nursery. The staff have been incredibly welcoming and caring. My son was able to form a close bond with his key worker very quickly. Every morning he runs into his classroom and is always very excited for his day in nursery

Secret Garden is great, the staff who work with my little one are friendly, professional and caring, and that’s all of them, they all have a high standard of caring in place and my little one likes all of them. The nursery also endorses multi-culture and gives the kids really good experiences of different
cultures by celebrating different holidays, putting a lot of effort in arranging different activities and decorating to suit the holidays. And also, the food provided in the nursery is also great, freshly prepared and my little one enjoys eating there too. And being awarded the top 20 nursery has shown that the nursery has a high standard across the board which makes the parents think and feel the same that the kids are safe and happy with them. Overall, we really enjoying Secret Garden and would really recommend it.

Outstanding nursery! The staff and the management are excellent and have really helped both children settle into nursery life. We love that the children get outside playtime everyday and the food is varied and homemade.
The rooms are bright and the activities are creative and fun. The staff keep us
up to date with everything that is going on via the app which is really useful.

We chose this nursery for our son when he was a month old, just prior to lockdown. We felt it had a lovely atmosphere and the children and staff seemed happy (and many had been there for years which is a big plus!). By the time my son actually started, we were nervous since he had barely had a chance
to socialise, never mind being left with anyone before due to COVID! We needn’t have been though, we were cared for as much as our son! Nothing is too much trouble.
We now have our daughter at the nursery too and we are still very pleased we made the right choice. We love how the staff greet the children with a big smile and as though they are family.
There always seems to be lots of fun activities for the children to take part in, as well as plenty of free play.
Would definitely recommend The Secret Garden to anyone. Thank you!

A brilliant nursery that is very focused on personalised activities for the children. Lots of topics focus on the children’s interests, and the staff gives suggestions on extra ways to engage the children at home to continue learning.

My son started nursery a couple of weeks ago, and it was such a hard transition for both of us! But he absolutely loves it! This nursery has made him feel so comfortable, and the staff have been amazing with keeping in contact with me and making my son feel at ease! I can’t thank the staff enough for

It’s all about the people that work there. They create a wonderful experience for our little one. He loves going to nursery: he walks in in the morning and just shouts ‘bye daddy’. At the end of the day he is excited to tell me all about the things he got up to during the day.

The staff at The Secret Garden Private Day Nursery are absolutely wonderful! My daughter has been going for two years now, initially very shy and unsure owing to the lack of social interaction during the pandemic, but she has absolutely come on leaps and bounds during her time there.
She is a happy
and confident child, with excellent speech and manners all confounded by her time with the staff. I definitely recommend The Secret Garden to other parents!
