Cherubs pre-school staff are amazing! Our daughter loves attending and always has lots of fun at nursery. She has had lots of support with potty training.

My second child currently attends Cherubs Ruddington and enjoys his time there. The setting/staff provide a wide range of activities; messy play, crafts, outdoor play as well as external agencies such as the sports coach.
There have been issues with staffing in the last 12 months and some extremely
valued members of staff have unfortunately been let go. Despite this in recent months staffing seems more stable and this has enabled additional activities such as frequent trips off site.
The new app enables us to see what our child is doing/eating/sleeping during the day and having photos of him playing is lovely to see. Overall we are pleased with our experience of the nursery.

My oldest went here from the age of one and absolutely loved it. Now my youngest started in November and she loves it also and has come on a lot since being there. Learning more and gaining more confidence. I would recommend Cherubs Ruddington and have done to some people recently and in the past.
The
only thing I have to say negative is we pay extra fees for covering consumables and food but on a little trip out recently we were asked to give some money for a snack/drink (wasn't a lot of money) but I would have expected this to be covered by the extra fees/charges we already pay.

The Cherubs Nursery brand, doesn't really invest in retaining the best quality and caring staff members, constantly changing, or letting them go, putting the children interest at last. Due to this reason, the setting had to close on Mondays from June 2025, with only 2 weeks notice. This has put working
parents in a very difficult position. The managment team, relay a lot on head office, due the young age perhaps, making harder to voice children and parents needs or requests in an effecting way. A big positive, is that with the setting being small, children are looked after well and closely. The biggest value is given by each individual staff member (the remining ones) that seems taking really good care of the children. Because of this, kids seems all happy to attend. The branch also organize a lot of nice activities and Stay and Plays for parents to get involved with the children, which are always so lovely. Overall is a really lovely setting, exept for the staff retention issue...

My boy is in pre school here and we are really happy with the experience. His development has improved, he does lots of activities and he comes out every day full of joy.
The management and staff are great, each and every one of them.
As soon as we viewed the place a couple of years ago we knew it
was right.
Will be sending our 2nd born here without a doubt. 3rd born as well if the missus wins that argument and we have anouther baba.

My daughter is 2 years old and attends Cherubs Day Nursery in Ruddington, and I couldn't be happier with the care she receives. From the very first day, the staff made us feel welcome and reassured, and my little one settled in quickly thanks to their warmth and professionalism.
The team are fantastic
- they genuinely care about the children and go above and beyond to make sure each child feels safe, happy, and encouraged. I've seen my daughter grow in confidence, learn new skills, and make lovely friendships. She comes home excited to tell me about her day, which says it all.
The nursery itself is bright, clean, and full of engaging activities. Whether it's creative play, outdoor fun, or early learning, there's always something stimulating and enjoyable for the children. I especially appreciate the regular updates and communication from staff, which keep me involved in her progress.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Cherubs Ruddington. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive and caring. Our child has grown so much both socially and developmentally since starting here and we appreciate the regular updates and photos. The communication is excellent and any concerns/questions
are always handled with care and professionally. Our child always really enjoys all the activities he gets up to, indoor and outdoor.
Thank you to the team for creating such a nurturing environment and filling us with confidence that our child is in the best hands.

I can only speak so incredibly highly of Cherubs Ruddington. They go above and beyond and do so much for your children. My child previously had an allergy, and they were so supportive and understanding and put everything in place. Also helped me hugely with weaning off formula. My child loves coming
and gets so excited. He has learnt and developed so much since coming, and this is only coming once a week. All the staff are so wonderful, and it's so magical seeing my child gain close bonds with them. I am so thankful to all of them at Cherubs Ruddington.

Lovely nursery, modern, clean and beautiful garden for children to play outside. Few staff issues recently left us feeling a little un settled leaving our baby, however, it seems this is now being rectified and I now know who our key worker is. Nursery safe, great app online to view child's progress
with constant updates on the nursery.

My child enjoys going to Cherubs Ruddington. The food menu is varied and my child likes the meals. Outside play and inside games are great. The nursery could do with a bit of updating to the building maintenance. Preschool toilets are damaged and in need of repair and the building needs a bit of paint
overall but that doesn't hinder the experience. Recently staff turnover seems to be high but all staff is friendly and available to answer any queries.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.634)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.634) out of 10 for Cherubs Ruddington is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 19 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.684 for Cherubs Ruddington is calculated as follows: ( (168 Excellents x 5) + (52 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 228 Ratings = 4.684
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cherubs Ruddington is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 55 number of registered child places is 11, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
