Tiny Talkers is a small, friendly day care provider, offering the highest possible standards of care and education within a fun, stimulating and homely environment.

At Tiny Talkers they believe all children are unique and follow a ‘Reggio Emilia Approach’ to children, families and learning.

They recognise children’s individual interests and developmental stages and build on these to plan and provide activities to develop their confidence, creativity and independence.

They are inspired by the poem 'The one hundred languages of children', which goes ...

The child is made of one hundred.

The child has a hundred languages, a hundred hands, a hundred thoughts, a hundred ways of thinking, of playing, of speaking.

A hundred always, a hundred ways of listening, of marvelling, of loving, a hundred joys for singing and understanding, a hundred worlds to discover, a hundred worlds to invent, a hundred worlds to dream.

The child has a hundred languages (and a hundred, hundred more) but they steal ninety-nine.

The schools and the culture separate the head from the body.

They tell the child: to think without hands, to do without the head, to listen and not to speak, to understand without joy, to love and to marvel only at Easter and Christmas.

They tell the child to discover the world already there and of the hundred they steal ninety-nine.

They tell the child: that work and play, reality and fantasy, science and imagination, sky and earth, reason and dream, are things that do not belong together.

And thus they tell the child that the hundred is not there.

The child says: No way. The hundred is there."

Tiny Talkers over the last four years has been consistently excellent. My child has thrived in the environment and has developed relationships and friendships which have offered confidence and security. Personally, as a working parent it is with real conviction that I know there is a real connection
between the staff and children arguably unrivalled to a day at home!

Our daughter went to Tiny Talkers for 4 years up until she started school and we knew we wanted our son to go there too. We love the fact that it's a small nursery and all the staff know all the children and parents really well. They are really big on early years development and confidence building.
Our son has just started going to Tiny Talkers and we've seen a real difference in his cognitive and physical development.

Myself and my daughter have loved our experience of Tiny Talkers. As a parent I feel listened to and supported, especially as a single parent - there is so much understanding. My daughter's development has come on leaps and bounds. She's so happy to walk in every morning.

We like this nursery and our children have had a good time here. The outdoor space is good and we like that the children get taken out on trips/walks etc. We like the home like environment and think it works well, particularly for younger children. It's a shame that it isn't bigger (i.e. some of the
rooms for the bigger children) as this would allow for a wider range of facilities/activities for them, but I appreciate that this can't be helped.

As we are from Hong Kong and my daughter doesn't speak much English, we were very worried. But everyone in the nursery is very nice and considerate. They helped my girl settle really quick and nice.

We love Tiny Talkers. We have felt the staff have encouraged and supported our daughter from when she was a baby. Our daughter has thrived and is a happy, sociable child. We're really pleased with all aspects of the nursery. All the staff are wonderful. We feel it's expensive, compared to other nurseries,
but we feel it's worth paying for the quality of care. We would recommend the nursery to anyone who wants a play-based focus for their children.

Our son is very happy at Tiny Talkers nursery. We love the caring atmosphere and feel very comfortable leaving him there now that he is settled in. At home, he loves talking about his time at nursery and his friends and carers there. The general approach to learning and the range of child-led activities
also really appeals to us. The staff are really friendly and helpful and have been very flexible about our changeable working hours as well as fitting in half days around nap times, which we really appreciate.

Absolutely love Tiny Talkers, my son is becoming a very independent boy thanks to the staff. I am so glad I have chosen this nursery, very happy and positive experience. My son has been attending nursery since he was 9 months old and he loves it. All the staff are friendly and amazing also dedicated
to their work, balanced healthy meals are provided every day. My son does a variety of different activities at the nursery, now when he comes home he talks that he had fun at nursery. I am very proud off the progress and confidence my son has. Communication with staff as a parent is excellent.
Thank you all so much and Keep up the good work!

What I can I say about Tiny Talkers?! Honestly, the best place that you can choose to take care of your child as if they were their own. Our son has been going to Tiny Talkers since he was 4 months old. During that time, he has absolutely thrived in every aspect of his development. This is all down
to the absolutely wonderful staff at Tiny Talkers. Special mention to two members of staff who have been there from the start with him for the last 17 months. Thankfully Tiny Talkers have a low turnover of staff which is a huge benefit.
It is a very relaxed but at the same time, an extremely stimulating and safe environment.
Thanks again everyone at Tiny Talkers.

My daughter has been attending Tiny Talkers for 13 months now and absolutely loves it! She amazes me every day with something new that she’s learnt and I’m always in awe of the activities she does on a daily basis- from frequent trips to the park, library, fire station and Canal, to singing and dancing
and so much art. No wonder she never looks back when I drop her off!!!
I’ve already recommended Tiny Talkers to friends and will continue to do so in the future.

My children are very happy here. Staff are caring and very friendly to parents too. Children's interests are followed in what is being planned for them and all rooms have a home-like feel, no bright displays like in many pre-schools, still, children's work is displayed well. Toys are very imaginative,
lots of loose parts so children can explore and use their creativity a lot. There's a dedicated sleep room for the little ones. Outside space is lovely, lots of play opportunities, although no space for trees. My children like the food that is cooked on the premises and the nursery have listened to parents and reduced how often children have sweet biscuits/cakes etc for pudding. There's the flexibility of booking extra sessions in advance if needed.

Fab nursery, very accommodating with ad hoc hours -which I need because of my job. The staff are lovely and I really don’t know how they do their job. I couldn’t do it! The only downside is some occasions where the staff have told me information which is clearly wrong, such as “He ate all his breakfast”
when he only did a half-day in the afternoon. I’d rather they say they don’t know. Otherwise brilliant. I know my child is safe and happy which is all I want really.

We could not have chosen a better nursery for our child. From day one we all felt included and part of the Tiny Talkers family. Their ethos built around the Regio Emilio approach is not simply an ideal, it’s a reality. The activities are carefully planned, communication is open and effective, but best
of all there is a genuinely nurturing atmosphere - I would happily spend the day there if I could. Highly recommend it.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.973)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.973) out of 10 for Tiny Talkers Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for Tiny Talkers Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (55 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.056 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tiny Talkers Day Nursery is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 number of registered child places is 9. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 9 = 0.556
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
