Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Abington Park, Northampton, provides a warm and welcoming Early Years environment for babies from six weeks to five years. Rated Good by Ofsted (August 2023), the nursery offers six calm, well-resourced rooms and four large gardens with spaces for climbing, mud kitchens, gardening, and quiet reflection.

The experienced team delivers a holistic, child-led curriculum inspired by the Curiosity Approach, Hygge, and Reggio Emilia. Activities like Boogie Mites, Sing and Sign, and regular trips to the library and neighbouring care home enhance children’s learning. Located opposite Abington Park, the nursery enjoys regular outdoor outings. The team includes two SENCo practitioners, and strong parent partnerships are maintained via the Famly App, stay-and-play sessions, and a lending library.

My son has been at this nursery since he was 14 months old and is now nearly three. His development has been incredible, and his experience at this nursery has been nothing but positive. As a first-time mum, it was daunting knowing I’d be leaving him to go to work; however, the staff, app updates and
nature of the nursery supported this change, and knowing he loves attending and doesn’t look back once the door is open is so heartwarming. Not only that, the things he is learning and doing there are invaluable to his progression. We look forward to his little sister starting there in the next few weeks.

Kiddi Caru Abington Park is an excellent nursery. We moved my son from another nursery due to lack of care. It is the best decision we ever made regarding our son, who we felt was behind his peers at the time. The fantastic nursery setting, along with the amazing staff providing excellent care, is what
any parent would want when they leave their child at the nursery. From the moment we first met the manager at the nursery, we knew we were at the right place. She put our fears at rest and assured us of the quality of care. What I most like about the nursery is that so far I have dealt with so many members of the staff and every single one of them has been excellent. I would praise them all for their dedication and hard work. They actually care about my child and are aware of the issues when you raise them. I know that my son is in good hands and I no longer need to worry (which I did a lot of before). We'll continue to stay with them as long as they will have us. Thank you all-we cannot appreciate you guys enough!

Had to take my son out, he was there for 4 months and would not settle, screaming and shouting when we dropped him off, standing outside in the rain waiting 10-15 minutes for them to collect our son.
When we collected our son he wasn’t wearing a nappy as they didn’t put one on him after they told us
earlier that he had loose bowels though out the day.
Had cuts and bruises and when we collected him and they never notified us about them on handover as I had to point out to them why he had a cut on his face and no accident form was filled out.
We mentioned to the staff multiple times about these issues but nothing was resolved.
I wouldn’t recommend you sending your children to this nursery.

Good facilities for children to learn on speech and interaction with other kids. Good care is given to kids, very friendly and caring staff. All communication with management is very good. Child is always looking forward to attending classes as they’ve made friends.

My son has been coming to Kiddi Caru Day Nursery for a year now. He looks very happy when I drop him off in the morning and when I pick him up. He seems to learn lots of things here because I can see him at home when he surprises me with new things that I have never shown him before. I love the parent's
evening where we discuss if I have any concerns about my son so the staff can improve it and work more on these needs with my son. Last but not least, I do appreciate that is a clean nursery and I can tell this was the first thing I have checked when I have visited the nursery on the open day.

My child has been with the guys at Abington park for 7 months, and it's exceptional. As a working mum, there is always guilt and worry when you chose to return to work. But from the minute we signed up (when I was pregnant!). Have been put at ease. My little girl is unbelievably happy, she gets excited
when we arrive, and is often sad when I collect her.
This is down to:
The fantastic staff
The amazing activities
The delish food
The high-quality location and facilities.


Every little thing is thought about, the key workers know my little girl inside and out and I trust them implicitly with her. They are fantastic with me when I have questions I love the updates through tapestry.

My little one is happy at nursery. Well looked after and cared for.
Good communication with parents.
Plenty of out door space, multiple rooms so they get to move around more and change leaving environment over the years.

Kiddi Caru is a warm, friendly and approachable setting. The staff go above and beyond at meeting the needs of each child as individuals. My daughter has struggled with drop-offs since the day she started (almost eighteen months ago), she’s fine once she’s there but I really wanted the drop-offs to
become a more positive experience. The staff have been fantastic in supporting this and are very empathetic, they understand that one size doesn’t fit all and are very open and willing to take on board my thoughts and suggestions to help with drop-offs.
I’ve found it so important to build a relationship with the nursery and have transparency as a parent too, as a result, this has made the whole experience a wonderful one and I’m so grateful that my daughter is much more settled and has built such strong connections with the staff at Kiddi Caru.
They really are a lovely bunch!

The staff are so kind and fun, my little boy always goes in with a smile on his face and dances when I come to pick him up. They feed him well, make sure he has lots of activity time and keep in touch with me about anything going on through the day that I need to be informed about. My only complaint
is the sheer amount of dirty clothing that comes home but that’s because he does so much messy play which he adores. Smiles all round! I would definitely recommend.

Both of my children have attended the setting and I found the staff to be brilliant and very caring. I'm totally comfortable that they are in safe hands and are challenged and stimulated.
Since starting with the nursery, I have seen my youngest develop new skills and I am impressed at the things she's
learning; colours, counting, shapes, patterns etc.
Most importantly, I know she has a lot of fun and is well cared for!

My child has been attending this nursery for almost two years and has experienced every room and most of the staff. He is always welcomed with care every morning. He is so happy to go and so happy when he's collected (apart from when he wants to stay). He has absolutely thrived here and even though
we have just moved across the other side of town, I won't be moving him as he absolutely loves it. I trust this nursery with my son as much as I would my family members.

My son has returned home a number of times with soiled pants, where it’s clear that poo had been removed from the pants and then just pulled back up. This has left my son with red sores on his bum and has had to be escalated through to management.
I also feel that for the significant cost of the nursery,
far more updates should be given about next steps, current/planned learning activities and how specifically my child is progressing. I do not feel that I know anywhere near enough how well my child is progressing.


Lastly, there appears to be a significant staff turnover which is unsettling for a child when his key worker is constantly changing

My son is in his final few months at Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Northampton, Abington Park and he has thoroughly enjoyed his time here. His sister also came through this nursery and progressed to school 2-years ago. The carers have, on the whole, been excellent and the children have had good relationships
with them. The nursery is a safe and fun environment with good outdoor spaces.
