Blossoms Day Nursery and The Hive has been providing childcare to families in Rushden and the surrounding areas for over 25 years.   

The setting offers nursery care and education for children aged 3 months to 13 years. The nursery provides a spacious setting for children to learn and play, and the large garden areas which are dedicated to each age group, offer opportunities for outdoor play and exercise for children to enjoy in all weathers.

The nursery has three age-appropriate rooms – Buttercups for babies up to the age of 2; Daffodils for children over the age of two; and Sunflowers for children aged 3 and 4. They provide child-centered planning, with activities to promote the children's curiosity. The Hive is the out of school facility which provides a home from home atmosphere for children before and after school and in the school holidays. The holiday club always offers action-packed timetables for children to make new friends and have fun!

The setting offers nutritionally-balanced meals and snacks which are freshly prepared each day on site. Special dietary requirements and allergies are catered for. Children from all backgrounds and abilities are welcomed.

Rushden Kids Club provides a friendly and caring environment. Staff are passionate about their work resulting in quality care for children.
There have been many updates over the past year - staff development and training; online observations, learning journals and invoices (I feel this helps to build
communication between staff and families); building and garden updates - and I'm sure there are plans for more updates to follow.
Holiday club offers a structured timetable of events with visits offsite if consented.
I can't praise Kids Club enough - it really is a hidden gem!

My twin boys started in the Buttercup room three months ago. One initially got upset when I left him, but he settled within 2-3 weeks and they both absolutely love it. They are so excited to go in and don't want to come home. I like the fact that there are two rooms, one used for messy play and the
kids are allowed to free flow.


The staff are fabulous. They are warm, friendly, happy and very dedicated. They are focused on the kids and always striving to improve the nursery. I have found them very approachable and always willing to help.


After experience with previous nurseries, I have to say I am completely thrilled that my boys are here, watching them grow, develop and gain confidence in a fabulous setting.

We have used Kids Club for the past 4 1/2 years both of our children love going there. Both of them are happy to be there and our son always asks if he is going there as soon as he gets up in the morning. The staff are amazing and wouldn't want a more fab team looking after our children.

My daughter is in pre-school and thoroughly enjoys herself. The staff are very kind and make her day at nursery very enjoyable.
They have a large garden to help with physical development and large rooms inside for messy play, home corner and other skills required.

Absolutely lovely nursery, preschool and out of hours club!! So friendly and just a natural setting!!


Everyone is so kind to the children and to parents, any queries and it is always answered with a smile and understanding.


When I was looking for a preschool I only viewed one other and knew instantly

that this was where I wanted my daughter to go.
The garden area is what sold it to me, it's amazing and huge! So much fun for the children! The inside is also brilliant, lots of areas for the children to interact or have a quiet moment.

My sons have been going to kids club for over 2 years and we have peace of mind when they are there. The school pick up option is fantastic and there are plenty of activities for the children. Holiday club is excellent.
The staff are friendly and approachable and they have allowed us flexibility through
a tiring pregnancy and afterwards.
They are very understanding and I have to say the staff always look clean and tidy which is something I look out for when trusting someone with my precious children.

My son's key person keeps me well informed of his progress. I would like newsletters at the beginning of each term so we are aware of what's happening.


Use of text messages would be helpful to remind parents eg parents' consultations.

Rushden Kids Club provides a loving and caring environment for my son. He loves attending the nursery. Kids Club have been one of the most important teams of people involved in improving my little girl's confidence and learning for nearly a year now.


My other daughter has been with Kids Club since the age of 9 months until she left to go to school, with only a short time out after having my youngest
