Mary Poppins Day Nursery

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mary Poppins for all their hard work and their support.

I have seen such a huge difference in my daughter since starting in the preschool room, her drawing and learning, in general, have just come on massively. Every day she comes home so happy and excited to tell us about her day. The nursery is clean, a lot cleaner than most I’ve seen, organised and most importantly safe. Would highly recommend this nursery.

Mary Poppins is a wonderful nursery where the staff are friendly and you feel safe in the knowledge that your child is happy and well looked after! It feels small and personal, and the staff really know your child as an individual.

They keep you fully up to date on what they have been doing during the day. I cannot recommend it enough. Everyone is lovely.

I've sent two children here from 9 months right through to about to start school, and both have flourished. Mary Poppins Day Nursery provides a safe, stimulating and welcoming setting, where both the children and the staff come across as happy in that environment. Going through the various stages has helped give my children sound social skills and confidence to prepare them for school life. The staff get to know each child personally and understands their individual character traits, so they can respond to their specific needs.

Couldn’t be happier with this nursery - our little one has been going here since he was 10 months (now 3.5 years) and has thrived. He is so loved by everybody there and the staff are brilliant. The staff sold this place to us - they use common sense and genuine care rather than policies which make life harder for parents as I found with other nurseries!

In my opinion, the standard of care at Mary Poppins is exceptional. They all take genuine pride in what they do and they really invest time in the children under their care. My two little ones love them all to pieces and it leaves me with a real piece of mind when I know they're being looked after so well. I've always found them really friendly and professional and the children are kept engaged with a wide variety of activities throughout the day. Looking after children is a really tough gig and these guy's make it look easy. I trust them all implicitly and I feel very fortunate to have found such a good nursery. Would highly recommend.

My son has been attending the nursery for over a year now and I have to say the staff have been amazing and so patient with him as he used to have a lot of separation anxiety. Nothing has ever been too much trouble with any of the staff, for example giving medication and helping him with his speech therapy. He has come on so well since starting with his eating and his speech is now amazing, thanks to staff assisting with activities to help that. Everyone is so friendly and I feel at ease when he is there as I know he's happy there. The communication is great, I always know what he's eaten and everything he has done, the meals are always varied and he really likes everything. The outdoor playing area is fantastic, there's so much to do for the children, it really has helped him grow up and start to understand so many things. He's always so chatty about everything he has done that day, I would really recommend this nursery, it will be sad to see him leave this summer.

My daughter has been going to Mary Poppins for about 8 weeks now, she has just turned 1. I was so worried about leaving her at nursery, but the staff have made the transition for me and my daughter so easy. This week we had no tears at drop off, which in just 8 weeks is a true testament to how comfortable the staff have made her feel in such a short space of time. I usually call 1 or 2 times a day to see how she is and I am never made to feel a nuisance I am always given a good account of how she is and what she has been up to. My daughter is eating well and since attending nursery has developed so quickly, she is learning something new every day. If we ask a request the staff are happy to help, for example, we are trying to minimise the dummy in the day and the staff are happy to work on this with us. So I guess I can finish off saying, that so far so good and as long as my daughter is happy then so am I.

I would highly recommend Mary Poppins, my 2nd daughter started age 6 months and is due to leave shortly for big school. The decision to choose Mary Poppins as a full-time nursery was easily made as my 1st born attended nearly 12 years ago. The staff greet you with a smile every morning and give you daily feedback at the end of each session on what they have been doing, eating etc. The food menu is different on a weekly basis and they cater for all dietary requirements and fussy eaters. They have different daily activities to keep the kids entertained and learn through fun whether it be clean or messy play. They have all-weather outside areas that the kids are encouraged to play outside as much as possible whether sun or snow. I do feel that all the girls love each child as if they were their own child. Leaving a child with strangers is never easy, however with Mary Poppins within a day the girls feel like your extended family.

I have 2-year-old twins that have attended Mary Poppins for the last year. My girls have always enjoyed coming, I’ve never had an issue with them not wanting to stay. The staff have been very friendly and accommodating! With twins, there has been some logistical issues but the staff have always helped and never made me feel a nuisance! Helping to/from the car and up the stairs! The girls love the food, especially the cheese and potato pie, keep meaning to ask for the recipe! Cost has to come into it with twins but I wouldn’t compromise their care for money, I don’t feel I have at all. The care is amazing, and at a reasonable price!!

I've found the attitude of the staff to be what has made me so comfortable with leaving my daughter here. They are extremely genuine and it's evident to see that they've built a relationship with my daughter - it's great to see that your child recognises and relates to the staff - not to mention the socialising with other infants and the new activities laid out on a daily basis. I definitely recommend!

I currently have two children that attend. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff and managers that work there. My children are happy to be in there and the staff care for each and every child. Both of my children have had issues with dairy and they were very accommodating to their dietary needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Mary Poppins nursery to anyone.

Thank you Mary Poppins and both my children and I are going to miss you loads!

The proof is in the pudding - neither my daughter or son want to come home at the end of the nursery day!

Well what can I say except this nursery is absolutely amazing, my two girls have been going for over 3 years and I’m honestly dreading the day they have to leave. Since the children have been at Mary Poppins, both of our daughters have grown into beautiful, clever children. They're both very well educated and know the everyday basics on even the simple things, like saying please and thank you and always washing their hands. The staff at Mary Poppins have helped our girls grow and since being there from very young babies, have watched and helped with every step of their development including walking, talking and toilet training. Both children have looked up to the staff and always felt comforted when attending. The nursery overall is very clean, the food provided is exceptionally high standard and the staff amazing. They go above and beyond for both parents and children and help to accommodate any needs that you may have.

Mary Poppins day nursery is amazing. My first child attended from the age of 9 months back in 2012. My youngest child started around 6 months old and is still there now. Absolutely amazing nursery staff are second to none and go beyond their means. Always very friendly and helpful. We feel like our child is very well cared for by the girls and I wouldn’t leave him anywhere else. My child also enjoys going each day which tells me he must have created a bond with them. Each child has an individual key worker, this has been the case with both my children and seems to work really well. As for each room, there are lots of things for them to do and to keep them entertained, as well as learning along the way. The outside play area is well maintained and very secure. Meals are amazing and my child eats every meal put in front of him when he’s there. When you pick your child up, you also get a rundown of what they have done for the day. My oldest is 7 now and Mary Poppins helped him become who he is today.

I would highly recommend Mary Poppins as I have always felt confident that my children are being well cared for whilst I'm at work.

Fantastic nursery. Both my children have attended and I felt the staff really cared about them as if they were their own children. The staff were very supportive of our needs as an individual family and I always felt able to approach supervisors and managers with any questions that I had. My children were never short of cuddles and learning opportunities. I would not hesitate to recommend Mary Poppins to other parents.
