Oakdene Day Nursery

We are so pleased that we chose Oakdene Day Nursery. Since our son started at just 7 months old, we have been nothing but impressed. The staff are fantastic and always do their best for the children. The facilities are amazing, such great outdoor space and new toys are always appearing!

Our daughter joined the baby room at Oakdene Day Nursery 6 months ago and settled very quickly. The staff are lovely, always sweet and gentle to our daughter and greeting her with smiles. The facility is well maintained and the children are engaged in a variety of activities, crafts, sensory play, reading, singing and outdoor play. My daughter is happy to be dropped off every day and feels at home in Oakdene Day Nursery. The staff take into consideration any request from the parents and follow it diligently (sleeping patterns, medication, dietary requests) The only improvement point I would suggest would be to perhaps offer a larger variety of vegetables in the meals although I understand they need to appeal to all children and a bit more attention to cleaning up the hands and faces after eating. Overall we are really happy with the care and attention our daughter is getting and she always surprises us with new songs she’s learned. Would highly recommend Oakdene to prospective parents.

So pleased and happy we choose Oakdene Day Nursery for our daughter. From day one the staff and owner have been fantastic and it's always felt like a big family atmosphere. The farm setting is great and my daughter loves going in every day. Thank you so much to all the staff and the manager for providing such a great establishment. Highly recommended.

We couldn't be happier with the care our daughter receives at Oakdene Day Nursery, she absolutely adores it and is really thriving. She's been there since she was 10-months old and is now nearly two and about to move up to the toddler room. The staff are so friendly and caring, it feels like all those we come into contact with, not just her key worker, have really taken the time to get to know her. Most of the staff have been there a long time too, this is definitely a very good sign. One of the key factors for us when choosing a nursery was the opportunity for the kids to spend lots of time outdoors, something they definitely do at Oakdene Day Nursery! They do such a range of activities there, and we love reading the daily report to see what she's been up to. The food is varied too and cooked on site. Oh, and if you're worried that your little one won't nap at nursery, don't be, the staff worked out what suited our daughter and worked their magic.

The nursery has a real family feel and I would recommend it to any parent.

We adore Oakdene Day Nursery. They worked so hard to settle our daughter during Covid times and she has thrived under their care. They are so child-led in all they do and have built such wonderful relationships with her and with me as the parent who drops off/collects. They are so approachable and friendly. We couldn’t be happier at Oakdene. Would highly, highly recommend.

They do so much with the children, and the outdoor setting is brilliant. We couldn’t fault Oakdene, we’ll really miss it when our youngest starts school. Would recommend to anyone looking for a really lovely, safe and happy environment for their children to go to nursery in.

We have had such an amazing experience at Oakdene Nursery. Both our boys are now attending with the eldest about to 'graduate' this year. The staff are super friendly, patient and kind and have been absolutely amazing in the way they have coped over the last 2 years of uncertainty. The indoor and outdoor space and field is excellent for burning off steam, I couldn't recommend or rate the staff and care provided higher!

We could not be happier with Oakdene Day Nursery. Our son has formed genuine relationships with the members of staff who are consistently kind and supportive of his development. It is professionally run and I have absolute confidence in the team to look after my child!

Every member of staff feels like family, we can honestly say we love them as much as they have loved our boys over the years. I recommend them to anyone who is expecting a baby. The care is exceptional and I wouldn't dream of using anywhere else!

We love Oakdene Day Nursery our twins are very happy here and we always feel that they are nurtured to grow into bright and inquisitive children. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The nursery is really accessible and has a lovely outdoor space too.

We are so happy our daughter is at Oakdene, she loves it, and we feel it is helping her develop into a confident, bubbly and bright toddler. All the staff are just lovely, make us all feel at home, and we have 100% confidence that she is being well looked after and given plenty of love and affection. She is 20-months, and the first thing she said this morning was 'nursery again', full of excitement. Oakdene was wonderful with settling in following a year of lockdown, she was given plenty of time and attention, and it all felt very relaxed. I would recommend it to anyone!

The entire team at Oakdene are fantastic. My eldest attended from the age of 6-months until he left to go to school this last autumn, and my youngest currently attends 4-days a week, he’s also been going since 6-months and is now 2-years. I trust them 100%, and both my children have been incredibly happy, well looked after and have had so much fun there! I will genuinely miss seeing the staff every day once my 2-year-old leaves to go to school; it’s become a home away from home. The manager and the whole Oakdene family are the best there is.

Oakdene nursery is a fantastic place of fun and learning. It is a lovely setting with excellent facilities especially outdoors. It really is one big family! The staff and owners are so friendly and kind and they are passionate and caring about what they do. The activities and provision are great and designed with your child’s interests in mind. Our little girl has thrived since starting at 9 months old. They know her as well as we do and have helped her to make an amazing start to life. And best of all, she loves it! As a parent, all you want is for your child to be loved, happy and safe and Oakdene have been outstanding in their love and support for our daughter. We really couldn’t ask for anything better. Our little one leaves this summer and I know that we will remember Oakdene as a place of happy memories and we will miss it greatly!

Oakdene is a family run nursery with incredibly passionate staff who strive to develop each individual to their true potential. Teamwork and passion shine through at Oakdene. I can not recommend Oakdene enough. You are all truly amazing!

We are so unbelievably impressed with Oakdene Day Nursery. We have had our son there for a little over a year and he has absolutely thrived under the brilliant staff at Oakdene. Every member of staff is so welcoming and friendly, it feels home from home there. My son always has an exciting story to tell in the car on the journey home and he skips in every morning excited for the day ahead, its the most comforting thing to know that your child is happy.
