The nursery has an enclosed garden with safety flooring and a variety of age-appropriate outdoor resources. The nursery also has a CCTV system installed throughout the premises.
The staff follow the 'early years foundation' stage framework to support early learning experiences, and this is backed up with lots of practical hands-on activities for children in all age groups.
However, they are about more than just covering the curriculum; it’s about teaching children to share experiences and building confidence.
Staff hold appropriate early years qualifications which give children the care and inspiration needed to thrive in a rich and fun learning environment.
The nursery cook prepares freshly cooked meals on the premises daily. Individual dietary needs are also catered for.
All staff are trained in paediatric first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding, manual handling as well as plenty of other ongoing training to support the delivery of the 'early years foundation stage'. This ensures that parents have peace of mind when leaving children in the nursery. The nursery also participates in the 'Stoke speaks out', communication and language screening program.
The nursery has strong partnerships with parents and staff keep parents updated about each child's day on a daily basis.
Funded places are available for 2, 3 and 4 year old’s.
Abacus will provide all children with the opportunity to make friends and gain the confidence to make the move up into the first year at school and beyond.

My daughter was nervous when she first started but absolutely loves attending now. It's such a lovely setting with wonderful staff and I can't recommend them enough. Thank you.

My granddaughter attends this nursery and I honestly can't speak highly enough of it. The staff are absolutely wonderful, caring, patient and genuinely invested in the children's happiness and development. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, welcoming and safe. The team do such a fantastic job creating engaging activities that help the children learn while having lots of fun. It's lovely to see how excited my granddaughter is to go each day, and how much she has grown in confidence since starting here. Communication with parents and family is excellent, and it's clear that the children are truly valued and nurtured. Knowing she is in such capable and kind hands gives our whole family real peace of mind.
I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a caring, supportive, and enriching environment for their child

Nurtured at Packmoor has been amazing so far for my little boy. Since joining at the beginning of the year my son has improved in so many different areas. The staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do and treat George like one of their own. George has taken an extra liking to Jemma who is always so caring for him.

The staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and truly love what they do. Every morning, my little one is excited to go, and it gives me such peace of mind knowing they're in such capable hands. The facilities are always clean, bright, and welcoming. The toys and activities are not only fun but educational, and it's clear the nursery has a wonderful balance of learning and play. I love that they incorporate both structured activities and outdoor time, ensuring the children get the best of both worlds.
The communication with parents is excellent! Whether it's updates throughout the day or monthly progress reports, I always feel involved in my child's experience. And the staff are always available for a chat

My daughter started in September, she absolutely loves the nursery. The staff are wonderful and always go above and beyond, making sure she was settled before officially starting and keeping us updated throughout the day now she has started. The app is great and it's nice to be able to see what she's been getting up to. The variety of food is amazing and if there's plenty of options every day.
I am so happy I chose this nursery for her, I cannot fault it in any way!

I've chosen this month as this was when our daughter first came to the nursery. This was her first time in a nursery setting as I had to go back to work after maternity leave. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that she settled in and didn't rush her. She has come on in so many different ways, social, emotional and physical. The staff always have different activities for children to participate in and they always encourage the children to join in. Also, the dietary requirements are always catered to.
If I was to have to choose a nursery setting again I would definitely use this nursery.
