Nelly’s Nursery in Penkridge is an Ofsted Outstanding rated nursery (September 2019), providing high-quality childcare and early years education in a stimulating, effective and homely environment.
The building which was once a police station has been adapted and equipped to offer first-class facilities.
Outside play is a key element and the garden provides ample opportunities for children to learn through play. It features large musical instruments, a vegetable patch and much more.

Really good experience, have come on really well with there development.
Staff are always friendly and bond well with our son. He seems to enjoy being at nursery.
We have always been very happy with the service (over the last 3 years!). The staff are all excellent with our child, she enjoys coming. Staff have assisted with her development over the years. We would have no hesitation in recommending the nursery. Special thanks to just about everyone, we are really thankful for all your help and the personal interest you show with our child. Emphasis on kindness and confidence in and towards our child.
Amazing staff. Lovely nursery. It's been such a pleasure for my daughter to of attended this nursery. Big thank you to all the best, you have all been great. 5 stars plus from me.
Friendly staff.
All staff I have encountered have been welcoming and friendly, providing daily updates and pictures.
The nursery is clean, well organised and provide a diverse range of daily activities and toys to enhance development and learning.
My son has come on immensely since starting here.
Overall, I would definitely recommend!
My daughter has been attending for 1 month. We are so pleased we chose Nelly's. The nursery work well with parents to implement your child's routine and communicate with you accordingly. We receive regular updates throughout the day and feel very comfortable and safe dropping off our child. Our daughter has settled in so well, she is given a wide range of meals, has made friends and has come on leaps and bounds already. The girls do a wife range of activities with the children and adhere to all policies and procedures.
We're really happy with the care and encouragement provided at Nellys. Our little girl seems to be progressing so much after a short period of time with the very attentive staff. Although it can sometimes take a while for her to settle in during her session, the staff are quick to let us know she is happier and enjoying time with her nursery friends.
Nelly's nursery is a fantastic setting, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. My daughter really enjoys attending and I feel comfortable leaving her in their care. Regular updates daily is fantastic, and the activities they engage in are great.
Communication from the nursery is excellent. We receive regular updates and well-informed. They are quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The nursery environment is always clean, safe, and well-organised there are fantastic range of stimulating toys and activities.
Overall, we highly recommend Nelly's Nursery. It's nurturing and stimulating environment for children. Nelly's has been providing excellent care and has been a fantastic start to our son's early education.
The developmental changes we have seen in our child have been amazing to see and we know that it is as a result of the support they receive from Nelly's.

Since my daughter has started nursery she has become very confident . Her vocabulary has come on. Overall she loves coming to nursery. Friendly staff such a lovely place best decision moving to nellys
My son absolutely loves it at Nellie's which is so reassuring as a parent, he is always so excited for his nursery days. The staff are amazing with the children, we receive regular updates on the app with photos. Nellie's are so supportive with parents too.

My boy has attended Nelly's since he was 10-months-old (currently 15 months) and we couldn't be happier with our choice. He settled in with the lovely team very quickly, we get daily updates/pictures of his activities and food, the team are super responsive on the app, and he's always happy on drop off/pick up. It makes my day to see pictures of him out on walks in the community and playing with his little friends. The nursery has also recently undergone a refurb which I'm excited to see the results of. I can't fault the care that he has received so far, and as a first time mum it's such a relief to trust that our boy is in good hands! Special thanks to 3 staff members in particular for being amazing at what they do.

My daughter settled well and really enjoys her sessions. The daily updates are great, love seeing what she has been up to. Communication is excellent and learning activities are engaging. I would highly recommend.
Nelly's offer amazing childcare! Nothing is too much of an ask. They not only support your child but the parent too. My child is thriving and loves it! Amazing!

Jenny has over 15 years of experience in managing day nurseries and has completed Post Graduate qualifications within this field. She is a passionate Early Years Advocate and has vast knowledge within the sector.
Rachel has been with Nelly's Nursery for 5 years now, with a background within Early Years of over 11 years of experience. She has a strong passion for quality education and parent partnership. She achieved her BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies in 2016.
Lizzie has worked at Nelly's Nursery for 15 years, demonstrating her dedication to the sector and enthusiasm for Early Years. In particular, creating a fun, and happy environment.
