Southlands Kindergarten

Southlands Nursery is a wonderful learning environment for my 3-year-old. The space is clean, bright and organised. The atmosphere is friendly and warm and the food is well cooked, nutritious and plentiful. The staff are the best asset the kindergarten has. They are fun, friendly and involving. The highest praise is that I have to pretend to be them when playing with my daughter. I couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery. My daughter has come on developmentally since starting and is happy when she is there.

My son has recently moved from creche to kindergarden and the transition has been very smooth. He has settled in really well and it is great how this has been done gradually and with the comfort of familiar faces. He is really enjoying Spanish, swimming, and sports and making new friends. He is always happy and excited to arrive and has lots to tell us at the end of his day. He also eats lots of the yummy food provided!

I couldn't recommend the nursery more.

A fantastic nursery with friendly and kind staff. My child loves going in every day, she is so happy there and has developed so much as she is always doing something fun, exciting or new. They do so much with them and offer the children wonderful experiences that they wouldn’t get elsewhere.

There are 10 years between my two children and the majority of the staff have stayed the same in that time. The quality of care is excellent. The children go out on trips most days, regularly go swimming and have opportunities to mix with older children within the nursery. This is all included in the price. I love this nursery and my child has come on so much from coming here. I recommend it to all my friends.

My little boy has settled so well into Southlands thanks to the wonderful care and attention he has received from the outstanding staff. Every single member of staff knows my child's name and they all make a fuss of him each morning. Excellent communication between staff and parents. I always feel fully informed about my sons day when I collect him. Southlands is outstanding in every way.

Could not recommend this nursery enough!

It gives both myself and my wife great pleasure to review the nursery both our children have attended over the past 7 years (collectively). We can honestly say there has not been a single day when our child has not wanted to attend and more often than not rarely wanted to leave. The nursery has more than fulfilled our expectation from creche through to Kindergarten and will leave both ourselves and children with many memories. Our eldest constantly asks whether she can call to visit to say hello to the staff which speaks volumes for the caring and supportive structure that is evident from the moment you step foot out of your car and into the Creche/Kindergarten. Gardening club, Spanish lessons, swimming lessons, trips to the park, strawberry picking, Farm yard visits to name but a few. The journey has been thoroughly enjoyable and both our children have and will miss the day to day activities and family friendly staff. We wish everyone involved every success in their future. Southlands is a lovely, homely nursery. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. I have my youngest grandson here and have had two other grandchildren here in the past. The children were always happy to go into nursery and sometimes reluctant to go home. That says a lot from a child's point of view. They have a lot of fun and enjoy the many activities on offer, including frequent visits to different places.

A genuinely loving and caring environment which is helping in the physical and mental development of our son. He is always happy after attending his days and shows real affection to the staff there.

Our son has been at the nursery since he just turned 3 years old. He is a sensitive boy, so adjusting has been a challenge but the Southlands staff have been so supportive and have helped him settle. He loves it there and is always happy when I pick him up.

They do so much with the children; it's a very rich and nurturing environment. It is so great there, that we chose to keep him there until he starts in reception at school, instead of sending him to more formal preschool.

I have had two children attend Southlands, one - two years ago and my youngest child currently. I have total peace of mind whenever I leave my son there, he is always happy and full of himself when I return and this was always the case with my first child also. The staff are supportive, genuinely caring towards children in their care and have years of experience to help them in dealing with children and to also reassure you as a parent when necessary. There is a great variety of activities throughout each day including trips out and about. My son swims with the nursery each week, enjoys gardening club, music and craft sessions in addition to the work undertaken to enable him to recognise letters and sounds. All staff are very approachable, professional and have good senses of humour! I am kept really well informed of his development. They make good use of social media, which means I can see what my son has been taking part in during the day, which is lovely!

Fabulous, excellent, caring and dedicated. I like the fact that they retain the staff for long periods of time- which speaks volumes.

Overall, very happy with the service and comfortable leaving our child with the lovely girls.

Facilities are of top standard.

Southlands is a fantastic nursery. Both of our sons have had wonderful experiences and we cannot fault the staff or the environment. The care is second to none and the nursery really is an extension of family/home life. The variety of activities is exceptional and both our sons really enjoyed swimming in particular. Our eldest son was so well prepared to start school thanks to Southlands.

The range of activities and experiences offered to the children is excellent and it really has become and a home from home for us. We shall be sad when we have to leave Southlands to move onto school but I feel that the foundations that have been set in Southlands will ensure that my children are in an excellent position and well equipped for school life.

I fell in love with the nursery on my first visit. I wanted a home from home feel from my childcare provider and Southlands Nurseries did not fail to deliver. I had visited a few childcare providers in my area, one nursery had the capacity to take 15 babies in their baby room, which I felt was too many. I was jumping for joy when I found out that the Southlands baby room only has 6 babies at any one time! The staff are amazing and really take their time in getting to know your child; they take absolute pride in caring for all their children. I couldn't wish for a better nursery for my daughter and I am looking forward to her spending many more happy years here.

I cannot praise Southlands Nurseries enough. My daughter is so happy, it is her home from home. The staff are amazing, so knowledgeable, supportive, kind and caring and all children are treated as individuals. The children are taken on different trips every day and are always doing different activities. The children spend a lot of time playing outside, which mirrors my daughter's home life. The children have a varied diet of home cooked food and my daughter eats all sorts of dishes which she wouldn't consider trying at home.

My son simply adores his time at Southlands. He dashes in on arrival and is always greeted with smiles and genuine affection.

The staff and owners are always ready to listen and give advice when needed. We really like that he goes out daily and experiences the outer community. We feel his behaviour reflects this practice.
