Sandhills Day Nursery Wombourne is a home from home setting at the heart of Wombourne, offering the perfect learning environment for children.

With local parks and amenities, such as the library, in walking distance, the children are regularly out exploring the local area whilst taking full advantage of both the indoor and outdoor nursery space.

The nursery has four rooms within the main building as well as an additional building adjacent to the main building; giving the littlest ones the space to develop their balance, confidence and independence in a safe and calm environment before moving to the main building.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

With several local primary schools in close proximity, they are able to develop relationships with these schools to be able to ensure that an effective and positive transition period takes place when the little ones are ready to move on to their next adventure at school.

Our 18 month old started at the nursery in November. He has settled in really well and the staff are all very friendly. He seems very happy to go into the nursery. It is great to get updates on what he has been up to. I would recommend to a friend.

My daughter started at Sandhills Wombourne in Sept 2020 and has made great progress, especially with her sentences and confidence. All of the staff are friendly, supportive and go above and beyond to ensure that all children are safe, enjoy learning and have fun!


I honestly cannot praise my daughter's

keyworkers enough. They are absolutely incredible and put my daughter at ease every single day. The IT/app system that the nursery uses that allows parents to see updates and notes is fantastic and puts your mind at ease. Nothing is too much trouble, and everyone is so accommodating.


During these difficult times, the nursery has done an exceptional job of keeping everyone safe. Communication between nursery and parents has been clear and transparent when decisions have had to be made. The safety of children and staff is always the number 1 priority at Sandhills.


My only regret is not starting my daughter at Sandhills sooner. I cannot recommend the setting enough! My daughter loves it!

My son now attends this nursery and my daughter attended for three years before starting school. I couldn't praise it higher; initially, my daughter attended a different nursery and so I can say that Sandhills Wombourne is a class above. All the staff seems to genuinely care about the children in their
care, they listen and they understand the parents very well too. I also find them very supportive when it can be difficult to leave your little ones behind.

Our little one joined at 6 months old and has been attending Sandhills (Wombourne) for just over year.
As a first time parents, we were anxious about leaving him for the first time, however, the support from his EYPs and Nursery staff has been fantastic, and we are so grateful.
Our little boy settled
in very quickly, and his development over the last 12 months has been brilliant. He is growing in confidence every day, and we love receiving the regular updates about his involvement in activities and his latest developments.

Our daughter loves her nursery and all the staff there. She has become a confident character and has learnt a lot from spending time with other children and adults. Absolutely love the app while I am at work I can see what she has been up to and how she is getting on. Couldn't recommend Sandhills enough
to any parent trying to decide on a nursery. My daughter started here at 8 months and she is now 2 1/2 years.

A lovely, clean nursery with caring and professional staff. After initially placing our son with a childminder we took the decision to move to this nursery and couldn’t be happier. We love that we see updates (linked to the EYFS profile) throughout the day while we can’t be with him.

Our daughter has been attending Sandhills for several years and we are very happy with the care and support she receives every day she attends. We are extremely confident that our daughter will be ready for school next year and believe that the staff at Sandhills have contributed to that with the activities

I couldn’t be happier sending my son to this Nursery. He has been twice so far, on both occasions I personally have been pulled away from work where I do 60-70 hours a week as my partner has been taken to the hospital. For a bloke, it’s quite daunting going into a nursery but every single staff member
has made me feel so comfortable. I don’t know names but everyone is genuinely so happy and appear to love their jobs from the lady who opens the door to the ladies upstairs in the mischiefs rooms. I am extremely happy and comfortable leaving my son here and anyone with any doubts will experience the treatment I have received upon my visits.
I only wish all of my staff were as positive as this fantastic team!!!

The staff at Sandhills Wombourne are fabulous. My son has attended since 8 months to now, 4 years and he has developed really well. The staff always create a stimulating environment. My son is continually learning and the activities are varied and creative. The EYLog is a great way to have regular updates
and I would highly recommend sandhills Wombourne and all the staff. All go the extra mile and the children are number one priority. Well done to the Wombourne team.

I love this nursery. Have sent both of my children here and my youngest is still there now. The carers are all really genuinely caring and lovely with the children and really have their well being at heart. My daughter has a dairy intolerance and they even cater for that at no extra charge. All of the
activities are recorded on an app so I even get pictures and videos of what my little one is up to when I am at work. Would recommend anyone send their children here - never had any issues!

A fantastic nursery! All of the members of staff are so welcoming, friendly, helpful and reassuring whether your child is in their designated room or not.


Our daughter is still reasonably new to the nursery but has started to settle well due to the support from the staff in Mr Mischiefs!!

learns new things every day and we have already noticed positive changes in her development.

Hello, I'm Amy and I'm the Nursery Manager here at Sandhills Day Nursery Wombourne. I am qualified for NVQ Level 3 in Early Years and Education.


Here at Sandhills Wombourne, we have a friendly, experienced staff team who are dedicated to providing the best start in life for all of our children. With fun and exciting activities planned for the children’s individual needs and development by their key workers, there are lots of adventures to be had indoors and outdoors!
