Sandhills Day Nursery Wombourne is a home from home setting at the heart of Wombourne, offering the perfect learning environment for children.

With local parks and amenities, such as the library, in walking distance, the children are regularly out exploring the local area whilst taking full advantage of both the indoor and outdoor nursery space.

The nursery has four rooms within the main building as well as an additional building adjacent to the main building; giving the littlest ones the space to develop their balance, confidence and independence in a safe and calm environment before moving to the main building.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

With several local primary schools in close proximity, they are able to develop relationships with these schools to be able to ensure that an effective and positive transition period takes place when the little ones are ready to move on to their next adventure at school.

I can't rate Sandhills enough, all three of my children have attended and have all loved it. The care they receive is the best, the girls are incredible and I couldn't wish to leave them with anyone better.
It has always felt like one big happy family and I am so grateful.

Amazing nursery with amazing staff. Our children absolutely love this nursery and always come home full of stories of their fun-filled day. It's our children's home from home, and the staff feel like family to us. Staff go above and beyond to help us with our little ones.
Our children's development
has come on leaps and bounds, they play and learn and get lots of preparation for school. Their activities back-up a lot of the things we are doing at home and we feel totally reassured and supported by all staff at all times. Everyone always says hello, and makes us feel welcomed and listened to if we ever have any problems. We are just about to enrol our third child here and will truly miss this place when the time is over!

My daughter started at Sandhills Sept 2023 and has received consistent care throughout her progress in many rooms.
Safeguarding is taken seriously and the care and attention shown to children during the day is exemplary. The staff are supportive, kindly, able and attentive to both parents and children.
Food
quality and variety is excellent, hygiene is marked well (nappy changes etc). The staff in my child's room go above and beyond. I thank you all for the enrichment you provide everyday for my child.

My daughter has settled into this nursery so well and I really believe it is down all the staff she is in contact with and the environment she is in.
From the very first settling in sessions I have felt confident that my daughter is in a safe and caring environment surrounded by knowledgeable, nurturing
and fantastic nursery staff.
I appreciate the regular updates on my daughters progress and them celebrating the development milestones. Since attending my daughter has came on leaps on bounds and I feel the nursery has had a massive role in this.
The nursery is very good with catering for my daughter who has an allergy and I trust they are keeping her safe at mealtimes.
Highly recommend this nursery to anyone considering.

Sandhills Day Nursery Wombourne go absolutely above and beyond for the children who attend. My daughter had a bad experience at a previous nursery which closed suddenly and since joining in December, my daughter has flourished. It's clear to see the bonds she has grown with her key workers in her room.
The managers are so approachable and great to talk to. I couldn't be happier with the experience we've had over the last 3/4 months.

This review does not just involve November, it is from the beginning of our experience with Sandhills.
From day one, this nursery has not only met but exceeded our expectations. My son has additional needs and not only has he been accommodated whilst attending, but staff have taken the time to get
to know him. As he is completely nonverbal, this is no mean feat! I sometimes struggle with myself.
Staff have been instrumental in making my son feel happy and safe, they facilitated obtaining an EHCP and have taken the time out of their day to meet the teachers of the school we hope he can attend.
If I were to ever have another child, then there is no doubt that the nursery would be top of my list.
If I were able to give 10 stars for the caring element of this review, I would score 11!

So happy with this nursery! My child has always been very well looked after, not only by his key workers and room staff but also by the office staff. They adapted the food when he hurt his mouth and the room/activities when he had a bad hip.
The staff are so wonderful and really care about the children,

Sandhills in Wombourne is excellent. The staff are lovely, take great care of my son, give great end-of-day feedback every day and provide varying activities for my son each day.
My son seems to get upset at drop off but seems to settle within a few minutes and has adjusted well with their help to
2 days.
My son loves to be outside so I do wish the outside space was a little larger but I know he does get outside at least once a day.

Our son started at Sandhills when we moved to the area following attending a different setting and I can honestly say how impressed I have been. With lots going on in our lives at the time of the move, the lovely staff contributed massively in ensuring our son remained settled and thriving. When asked
what he’s done at nursery, we used to get a simple “nothing” from his previous setting, now he can’t wait to tell us about his day and all of his friends. It’s always lovely to see activities set up for the children when you arrive in the morning and the kids always seem so interactive. You can tell they are truly cared for. The team in his room are just lovely and always friendly and chatty. Would definitely recommend the nursery to anyone who asks and we will also be enrolling our daughter there too in the future.

Excellent nursery but getting expensive compared to others in and around the Wolverhampton area. Prices have increased again to include nappies and milk etc. However my child is now clean and doesn’t need that.

My daughter has been with Sandhills since September and joined them in (youngest age group). The staff are absolutely fantastic. They made the transition smooth for both of us and since starting, they have been incredible with my daughter. Their interactions are positive and it is clear to see the
bond they have built. Always take the time to speak to me as a parent and keep me updated. I would wholly recommend this nursery to any parent.
