Orchard House Nursery, rated Good by Ofsted (May 2023), is proud of the 20 years of service it has offered and continues to offer parents who entrust their children to its care. It believes that every child is an individual and considers it a privilege to be part of their development and growth as they start life’s exciting journey.
Its family lead team of dedicated, friendly and experienced professionals are all fully qualified, with two holding degrees.
Food is freshly prepared and cooked each day in its 5* rated kitchen. The nursery is able to provide separate meals for children with allergies and special dietary requirements. The nursery children regularly help to prepare, cook and grow ingredients and have fun doing the washing up afterwards.
Regular risk reviews ensure a commitment to safeguarding the children in the nursery's care. In addition to CCTV throughout the nursery, coded, alarmed entrance doors and a fully enclosed garden keep children safe.
The rooms are split into four age groups to ensure that toys and resources are focused to stimulate children's imagination and development.
A high value is placed on physical development and children enjoy dance, regular yoga sessions and walks to historic Tamworth castle, its beautiful park and modern library.
Each month parents are sent Home Learning Booklets that contain details and guidance on activities related to the coming months nursery topics, events and celebrations. Parents are encouraged to engage in these with their children and send in photos of the fun they have for display in the nursery.

My granddaughter has been with Orchard House Nursery for 4 months. She is now 9 months old and is thriving thanks to the care and work that the staff at Orchard House Nursery baby room give her. I feel happy leaving her in a morning and know that she is in safe hands while I go off to work. The staff are always approachable and I feel as though they are there for both the child and the parents if need be. They have certainly given me some much-needed advice and support over the last few months I can’t praise them all enough.

Both of my children have attended here. My oldest is now eight years old and my youngest, who still attends is thriving here. My oldest child was well cared for and was ready and prepared to attend school. My youngest child looks forward to attending and ask continually if she is going. We would recommend this nursery to everyone looking for a warm, friendly and nurturing environment for their child. My son has just finished a 2-year attendance at Orchard House Nursery where he has been since his first birthday. Not only is the environment warm and safe but this is matched by the kindness and professionalism of the team. The days are structured, the meals are varied and balanced and the outside space is private and enclosed. For me, the most important thing was the communication between the nursery and myself so I knew exactly how his day had been, especially in the early days which I can not fault. I look forward to my daughter starting in the new year.

After looking at nurseries for my 18-month-old son, Orchard House stood out the most for me. The welcoming, caring and attentive staff were all wonderful and made me feel instantly at ease with leaving my son with them. My little boy attended two mornings a week and loved every minute. It was always great to hear (from staff) and see for myself how happy he was there. It was great to see the process he made in the 4 months he was there. Overall it is a wonderful nursery with a real eye for detail and in my opinion, has definitely earned its outstanding rating.

My eldest 3 children have been to this nursery and my youngest will hopefully be going here too. It's a lovely place that I have been using for 5 years now. Staff are friendly and approachable and my children have always enjoyed going. They do a huge range of activities for children, things like messy play and walks to feed the ducks. There is a great outdoor area and good healthy main meal served at lunch time. They take part in fundraising events and help teach the kids skills like cleaning up their plates and brushing their teeth, at age appropriate times. They start right from the baby room where they follow your routine right up to the pre-school room which gets them ready for reception.
It really is like a home from home for the children and they love seeing their friends. I think the prices are very competitive as well for the hours available (7.30am - 6pm)

My daughter went to this nursery at a young age and she has just graduated, she absolutely loved it there. If she could she would go every day including weekends but unfortunately, she has to go primary school now. I was very impressed with everything the staff were fantastic, my daughter wouldn't stop talking about them, she was always looking forward to going to nursery.
It was like a little family for her. I would 100% recommend this fantastic wonderful nursery to everyone. My daughter learnt so much she loved everything, we will truly miss Orchard House Nursery and the staff.
