Lovely Nursery with a cosy home-from-home feeling. My son absolutely loves it here. The ladies are all very pleasant and easy to speak to. As I spoke to my son's room supervisor about something I was concerned about and she helped me greatly.

Choosing a nursery is always a daunting thing, but all of the staff at Busy Bees are extremely welcoming. From the moment you arrive at the door for your first visit to the moment that your child is ready to leave for school, they do the utmost to care for and listen to your and your child’s needs.
My daughter attended here from ten months old to three years old, and all of the staff were absolutely amazing with her. They truly cared for her as if she was their own, and she loved getting up to go to nursery in the morning and her development when leaving was fantastic! The learning activities are tailored to each child’s different developmental stages and are always exciting! Lots of fantastic communication with parents via the app. We cannot wait for our second child to start at Busy Bees and know that he is getting cared for by all of the lovely staff. Best nursery hands down!

The staff at Busy Bees Uttoxeter have been amazing with my son and the transition for me going back to work. They were very understanding and reassuring during the whole process and made me feel at ease. The facilities are great and the food during each week is varied.

Our son has been at Busy Bees since he was 18 months old. He took to it really well, better than I ever thought he would and is now nearly moving up to preschool! He loves going to nursery and seeing his friends and the lovely staff that take good care of him!

For any parent, one of the hardest choices is ensuring when you can't be there, the next best thing is that we feel so lucky that our daughter is at Busy Bees, Uttoxeter. I honestly feel that the care is definitely outstanding! Our daughter has had some extra support with a few things while at nursery
and it hasn't been a problem for the girls and management, they have gone above and beyond and the hard work is noticed by us both. We also love the bond our daughter has with her keyworker. In a morning we say to her " Shall we find your keyworker" and she says "Yes", with the biggest smile and that as any parent is the best feeling, knowing that they are happy and well cared for.

Our son really enjoys his days at nursery. He's been attending for three months and has settled in well and bonded with his key person. The app is a great way to keep up to date with his progress and communicate with staff when needed. The outdoors space is well laid out and equipped, hopefully, he
will be able to play outside more often now the weather is improving. He eats well, and the range of food seems to suit his taste the majority of the time. The staff are very informative and friendly, and the nursery is well managed with regular communications/updates with parents. The day rate is on the more expensive side (even with the discount). Other than that, we are happy overall with the level of care and our experience to date.

My son always enjoys nursery and has made many friends there. He has learnt so much through nursery - especially speech. All the pre-school ladies are kind, approachable and professional. I would recommend Busy Bees to anyone as our experience has been so positive.

We have2 children that attend Busy Bees and we are more than happy with the care, friendliness and compassion that the staff show towards our children.
Both children love going and we feel that the staff care for them as if they were their own.
They do a range of activities and we are regularly updated
via the app and at the end of each day. Throughout the pandemic, staff have still smiled, been professional and gone above and beyond. Thank you.

Each morning when I drop my little boy off I am always greeted by a smiley happy member of staff who knows my little boy's name. He enters with a huge smile on his face and has massively grown in confidence since starting in September thanks to the wonderful caring staff. Any requests are never too
much. I couldn't think of a more welcoming and loving environment to send my most precious loved little bot to. Thank you so much for everything you do. Busy Bees Uttoxeter you are amazing!

I now have my second child at Busy Bees Uttoxeter. Both children are very different yet their needs have been met to an excellent standard in both cases. My youngest is currently attending and absolutely loves coming. The staff are friendly and caring, and a wide range of engaging activities tailored
to the child are delivered. Management are supportive and easy to approach. I welcome the addition of Parent View to help communication in these challenging times.

My son started in the pre-school group in January. The staff, particularly the teacher, have been fantastic at helping him to settle in and keeping me informed about how his day has been. The kitchen staff are flexible with my child's fussy needs but use innovative ways to get him to try new things.
Can't wait for the summer when he can enjoy the lovely outdoor area even more than he does already! All staff I have come into contact with have been fantastic.

Our two daughters have both attended Midway Academy and we couldn't have been happier with the love and care given to us all.
The staff are fantastic - so kind and caring whilst firm, encouraging good behaviours in the children.
Our girls have always had so much fun at Midway, whilst at the same time,
learning lots.
This is especially true in the preschool room where dancing, French lessons, baking, IT were all regular fixtures (along with excellent activities on phonics and numeracy, making moving on to school very easy).
Thank you to the wonderful team at Midway - we couldn't have asked for more and strongly recommend the setting to all prospective families.

Midway is a great nursery! The staff are brilliant; so friendly and helpful. Both of my children absolutely loved it there and settled into nursery very quickly, I wouldn’t have sent them anywhere else. The nursery has a lovely home from home feel to it, and a lovely big garden which my kids loved!
Excellent care would definitely recommend!

My son attended Midway from January 2014 till June 2017. The care my son received was to a very good quality. He totally loved going and learnt a lot off so many different staff members from all the different rooms. Management approachable if needing help. I was a little worried when the menus changed
due to my boy loved the food that Midway cooked already. I had nothing to worry about he totally loved the new menu produced with loads of hearty meals that were full of goodness. I have recently just had another baby and would totally like to send her to Midway with the care they provided to my son.

Such a perfect environment for our child. With professional, warm, friendly staff that immediately gave us every confidence that our son would be in the best care. We were very impressed by the atmosphere of 'family' and how considerate the team are. Our son settled in well and we feel part of a little
community thanks to the team at Midway.

Current Review Score: 8.4 (8.427)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.4 (8.427) out of 10 for Busy Bees Uttoxeter is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.792 for Busy Bees Uttoxeter is calculated as follows: ( (38 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.792
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.635 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Uttoxeter is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 77 number of registered child places is 15.4. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 15.4 = 0.26
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
